A Reading List

I love sci-fi, but not the sames sci-fi as you. I am into the vampire, shifter, witchcraft, paranormal side of sci-fi.

Paranormal gay romance is the best!!! Throw in a little BDSM with it and I'm in love.... :smiley-sex020:

Oh my dear! But I love withcraft, and vampires, and shifters myself! The Eragon series had witchcraft and shifters! Loved that series. Am reading one now, The Legend of Drizzt, by RA Salvatore. That is also a series and is like, 11 books long. I am only on number 4.

Please, share! I love to read, and I like books that are series best. But I will read one timers as well.

I bought it, but haven't read it yet. I also haven't gotten to the new Charlaine Harris or Laurell K Hamilton's yet. You would think that since it was summer I would have time to read them.

Time is so fleeting. I read all three of the 50 shades trilogy over spring break. Haven't read Charlaine or Laurell yet. Need to prioritize!!!

Good to hear from the reading members. I am not alone. I am currently reading a lot of nonfiction. However, I have read tons of fiction over the years. I think I started with The Grapes of Wrath, when I was like 15 years old. Watched the movie and then read the book. The book was better. Still my opinion. It is my opinion that writers don't get enough credit. When they make a movie based on a book, the actors get paid handsomely, and are often considered to be brilliant. How brilliant could they be without the story? I think this applies to TV shows also. I like the writing in the Big Bang Theory. The cast is good, but it is really about the writing. Actors just turn the words into something we can relate to.

I read constantly. Right now I'm reading Sparkle: The Queerest Book You'll Ever Love by Rob Rosen.

Girl, you and my mom! Speed readers! Not me, I take my time and savor the story. That is why I read 2 or 3 books at a time. So that I don't finish anyone book too fast!

I'll have to look for that 50 Shades. The thing is, we have no book store here in town. And to be honest, I hate to order from the internet, but I guess I will have to.

It is not that I speed read, but once I am hooked, I just can't put it down.:scared:

New Book: Again nonfiction: monsoon The Indian Ocean and the Future of American Power by Robert Kaplan. Interesting read. Mr. Kaplan takes a fresh look at India and the entire Indian Ocean community. That includes east Africa, the Arabian Sea countries, India, Central Asia, the Bay of Bengal, Burma, Thailand, Indonesia and China. A huge amount of old history here and coming into play again.
