Hey,

There have been some comments made recently on how much time some members have on their hands to post. I must admit I do most of my posting before I start shift and then when I finish work. I work for a large British Telecoms company as a network engineer but this includes shift work. I generally work the 1130am to 8pm shift mon to fridays so now weekends for me.. yay..

So what kind of work do our members do or are they all in semi retirement..

I work full-time as a ghost writer for a internet writing service, so I can work entirely from home. Google constantly changes its algorithm, but currently one of the best ways to get a website to appear on page one of a Google search is to have regular (preferably daily) fresh, unique content. That's what I provide, but the site owner holds the copyright and can name the work as their own; I just take the money and run.

Wow Grace. Can you post a scary story for us or are all your stories copyrighted. I take it than by ghost writer you write about scary stuff and that it doesn't mean something completely different.

I currently work a full time job as a salesman visiting various businesses throughout the New York City area. One of the perks is that I start my day at my own time, and while I need to end up my days in the office, it leaves me lot's of time on my own, so I can "forum" before work, during my lunch breaks and when I arrive home in the evening.

Sorry, retired - make that re-tired meaning tired again. Spent 35 years in public education. When I retired , my friends said retirement was like a week of Saturdays.

Hey Jon

Only a young fella here so have plenty of years left in me before retirement. I am a Medical Officer working in Country NSW. My essential training background is in Accident & Emergency and Anaesthetics. But at the moment I have taken a break for the last couple of years from the training programme to locum and earn a bit of decent cash.

In relation to postings (and most importantly - viewing the vids) I am in a similar situation to you. Working shift work cramps my style a bit, but I do get the chance to get on every once and a while between shifts.

Regards Luke

I'm now in that state of bliss called Retirement. My profession before was as a professor at several universities. My avocations were performing and directing for the stage. I was also a dedicated collector or sound and video recordings related to live theatre. Since retiring a decade ago, I've left all of these behind. And now I spent a lot of my waking hours surfing the Internet. Contrary to what I feared before retiring, I couldn't be happier. For me, it truly is a State of Bliss.

I am a retired teacher; I chose to get out after 15 years in education. But, I am somewhat busy volunteering at the local food bank, Junior Achievement, Boys and Girls Club as well as my neighborhood "Book Lady," helping the kids read and discover books.

I work full time in a grocey co-op store. I used to work for a organic food dist. and they were my customer for about 12 years. They were relentless about getting me to work there (which was very flattering) so I started part-time working 3 graveyard shifts a week along with my fulltime 4 day 12 hour shift. I did this for about 6 months and really had to chose one of them full-time. Their benefit package was the better of the two, so now I work full-time graveyard. Not to bad, I get off friday morning and off until sunday night and obviously have all day off for golf and Broke Straight Boys

Lol...you're probably being a cheeky minx, but just in case you're serious...

I write about any topic; at the moment the majority of my articles are current news related and end up on UK and US websites. The ghost part of my job description means my input is 'invisible' to the reader. When my articles are published the client claims authorship and puts their personal bio at the bottom.

Thanks everyone who have posted thus far. Don't you agree that it's nice to know what people do and how they spend time to post on the forum. Note that I didn't ask how or where you spend time watching the movies lol...

I am a full time student working on my Psychology degree. I also work for a large grocery chain in the evenings and on the weekends. I also volunteer with a literacy program near my college. I do not get much "free time" but when I do Broke Straight Boys is my release from the real world.

I work in elementary education as a support staffer and I teach a kindergarten enrichment class.

Wanna swap jobs, LL?

I am a Psychologist and Substance Abuse Counselor working for my state government. I really really really love my job. I would do it for free because I get to help others.

It's interesting you should ask! My work and volunteer jobs have exposed me to accounting and customer service so much that I'm looking to change careers entirely. Writing sounds like loads of fun! But I think my strengths lie in organizing and managing things. Lol.

Great attitude erik, but don't tell your bosses you will work for free or your next pay cheque will be zilch..
