I've been a member for quite some time. I've always loved the site. I understand this is a business, and the business must do what it needs to do to make a profit. Using models who satisfy a broad number of viewers is one of those things; however, the viewership of Broke Straight Boys has a specific taste: straight men. I will say again, I have always loved this site, but I'm losing hope, seeing update after update with these lispy, effeminate gay men. If you have to use gay models - which I completely understand - at least use gay models who fit the advertised niche: straight...I don't even care about the broke part...we could all use a bit more money.

That's it...I'm done ranting...but I would really like to know when will the "straight" in Broke Straight Boys come back?

Thank you BoiRyan for speaking up, and of course welcome to the forum. I've always felt that there was a "silent majority" out there who never post, but feel the same way as I do. We joined the site because we enjoy watching "believably straight" guys having gay sex, and the current version of Broke Straight Boys shows mostly less than masculine guys who begin each scene by kissing and go into the usual boring routine that is so formulaic.

When I complain about it, I am told that I've been cutting and pasting the same quotes for years, but I do feel that way. And you are right BoiRyan, as Peter and others have been saying too, if we can't get real straight guys, let's get more masculine gay boys who can act straight and fulfill our fantasy of watching the real thing here. The current crop of models are rather boring to me, with only a few exceptions.

Mark, Sha, Brice Jones. Please bring the STRAIGHT back to Broke Straight Boys!!!!! Please.

I really can't add anything that you guys missed...I agree wholeheartedly. (How about that 14-letter word...wonder how many Scrabble points that would get me.) lol

I agree with these guys. This site needs to quit coasting. Stop coasting and show us you care about the future of this site. I the to see it go down the tubes when all you have to do is aggressively search for good models and produced some quality scenes. Its almost like everyone is too tired to care about this site anymore.

Ditto, Ditto!

I haven't watched the last two - three scenes.

Neither have I. The last scene I watched was the last one with Zander Floyd. It's really hard to believe that the person with the imagination to create this wonderful innovative site a few years ago would let it fall into such a boring and cookie cutter like site. I always thought they used to have some pretty good Behind The Scenes episodes. I like that kind of thing. They can't possibly cost that much to put together. Contrary to what they may believe I and many others get so caught up with the various favorites that we would gladly enjoy just watching the guys we like kick back and have fun. At that point I personally don't always have to see hardcore porn. Anyway...sorry just my thoughts.

Don't be sorry cf, for so many of us feel the exact same way. I am one of the more loyal fans of the site, but it quite honestly has gotten boring with the same models do the same formula over and over. Please Mark. Listen to your loyal fans. The natives are growing restless. The site was the best when David was doing the filming and it has progressively gotten worse as time has gone by. Please do something innovative and get some cute, straight appearing guys, like in the golden days.

Well it's been coming for a long time. There all gay. Just wish with all the Beautiful Gay Boy's out there they could get a couple broke good looking ones on here.
That act or seem somewhat straight.Three good looking boy's we have can't carry the site alone.
Kiss,Suck,Fuck getting boring. Be fun to see a Dildo up Zeno Kostas's ass. Meaning that he is the hottest one on here.
Gosh I hope the new guy's are cute. Cause what we got just don't do it. Not anymore.
In my three years as a member we have had some ups and downs. This is the worst...

I think for the most part the models we currently have are fine. A few are too femme for me, but that's okay because they appeal to other members. I think you need to hire a straight guy to interview potential new models. This could help with weeding out models who don't fit the "straight boy" image. I agree David did a good job finding these models and so did Clay! I'm not saying mgmt does a poor job, but I think when a nice and cute model wants to join the site their femme nature might get overlooked during the interview process IE: gaydar glasses are foggy!!! lol

My feelings exactly. There are straight appearing and acting gay guys out there who I'm sure can use the money. The effeminate guys like John Henry and Danny do nothing for me.

I do have some observations to make here. First I do know some people who have been models in the business, one who has done some work here, who were straight so I have no reason to believe that any large number of the models here are gay. Most are straight or flexible, in that they are willing to do the work. Not every straight guy out there is going to be willing to do this work. Those that do are going to have limits on what they will or will not do. It amuses me that Jimmy Johnson who was one of the quintessential straight boys to appear here was resoundingly hated by some members for the very characteristics which marked him as straight.

The fact is that straight guys who do this work, do so for different reasons. Some might be a little farther along on the Kinsey Scale than others. Some like Damien and Paul might realize something about themselves after getting into the business. Some might do it simply as a way to make some money. I once had a client who explained to me that he hated sucking dick and taking it up the ass but it was an easy way to make money to pay his rent and buy dope. He supported himself and his girlfriend on the money he made doing dates and low rent porno movies. Others do it because they can make the money they need to buy the things they want or to pay for school. I do not know how much Broke Straight Boys pays its models for a few days work but I do know what a certain company in Las Vegas pays. I know a guy who did about 4 flicks a year for them and another studio, stripped and escorted and lived very well on the proceeds.

What I really think people are upset with is that the scenes have become so formulaic Except for the actors they are virtually all identical in how they play out. Of course this was a criticism given to David once upon a time as well. Including how he would trot in a "gay" guy or two, not to mention accusing the straight models of being gay. Of course being in South Florida at that time, David had access to a large group of models who were straight acting even if they were not straight and used his formula well.

The other fact is that the guys who are straight and are doing this work tend not to stay in it long unless they decide to make a career out of it. Like Kodi, they "find Jesus" and quit. Or like Ashton they get into some drama with a girlfriend and end up in jail. Sometimes sadly drugs or mental issues cause their demise or simple misadventures like being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people. But most who do not stay in the business, make some money and then go on to other things. They buy the truck, get a decent job, meet the right girl or finish school and go on to other things. So no matter what, there has to be a constant changeover as the old guys drop out and new blood comes in. This means the studios are all out there trying to find new models, test them out and check them out to see if they fit the business model. Not just Broke Straight Boys but also other studios as well. In the mean time they re-use the models they have and try to keep people interested in the product.

Any of the guys I have spoken to away from the bulletin boards who approached Broke Straight Boys or worked for Broke Straight Boys tells me they are very professional in how they do business. They are not like Kochis over at Cobra was or anyone of a number of studio owners who consider their models as personal sex toys on the side. But this also means they have certain standards in the guys they hire as well as how they use them in scenes. This sadly isn't true of all. One studio in San Francisco for example is notorious for its low standards.

What all this means is quite simple, despite what each of us might think is effeminate or not, straight acting or not or whatever stereotypes we might have, Broke Straight Boys is trying to fill a fantasy for a wide number of customers all of who have different ideas as to what is the perfect model or scene. So while it is perfectly alright to offer constructive criticism of what you like or do not like, or concerning what you might want or not want in a scene, remember that no company is ever going to be perfectly on the mark with every offering. Not every model is going to comply with your standards. Like mikeyank I also enjoy the classic straight kid we see as willing to allow a gay guy to service him. But I also know those guys were not all that common in real life, sometimes they were around and sometimes not. And frankly in real life it was not unusual for one of those kids to disappear for a while and then reappear - as gay as a drag queen.

One thing I have noticed a lot among the younger guys I deal with these days is that a lot of those old sexual stereotypes we had back when I was a kid in the 50s and 60s are now gone. Some of this is a good thing. My nieces and nephews all love me and love my husband. Their friends who know me have no issues. They see gay people as perfectly natural and cannot understand why anyone would think differently. But the other side of this is they do some things which for me mix the standards between what I consider gay and straight. Body hair sculpting, mannerisms and whatever. So a mannerism you might find effeminate, they seem as just a manner of expression. Welcome to the 21st Century.

jaunjo -

I believe you have just scripted Mark his entire defense or justification about why the Broke Straight Boys he built, still loves, and still tries to cultivate has devolved into the "near impossible" because of the social changes that been spurned by new labels over the past 10 years or so. First came the acceptance of the fact Bisexual is a real orientation and not just some guy (or girl) who wants to mess around with the other gender to prove something (which is how I used to believe it had to be as I have known I was gay since 10 years old but knew it was a horrible characteristic so I forced myself to live as family and society expected and forced myself to accept what I must do; discovering Bisexuality as a real issue when I took an "Abnormal Psychology" class my Freshmen year. Thank god they don't teach such as class anymore as the "abnormal" has been abandoned by the American Psychiatric and other professional Associations.

After the "Bi" identity grew accepted, MetroSexual, PanSexual and now, Flexsexual have been the evolution of orientation application. The guys we see are of the age where "Flex" is an OK place to be. They can be perfectly straight as you have identified - yet feel perfectly comfortable in their skin to be with another guy - or two, or three, or whatever a scene calls for.

I wonder if the infamous Jimmy J, were he 19 years old coming to Broke Straight Boys today, would be willing to "go further" than his boundaries based on what was or was not acceptable in a gay-for-pay role back then might permit him to consider after over half-a-decade of morphing acceptability might permit him do today. He has a well-known persona that would not permit him to go any further if someone wanted to "bring him back" today. (And I do wonder if Men paid him his "$10,000 to give up his ass!" mantra for his exiting bottom scene?!)

Gee - all I started out to say was thank you for your insightful statement on the condition of today's gay-for-pay market. Thank you!

I feel your both right. And as long as I have been a member we have been talking about the same thing. None of us are ever completely satisfied.
I just think lately there have been less to satisfy us. Maybe the new guys will help? Hope so...

I agree Johnny. For me, while there have been less and less believably straight guys on the site as time has gone by, but the other problem is we are getting less hot looking guys lately. I know that good looking is very subjective, but where are the cuties like Ayden, Carter, Liam, Adam Baer, Paul Canon, Johnny Forza, Daniel, Mick and Tyler White, to name a few. I think we have few of that caliber today.

If the boys aren't that straight, let them be beautiful to look at.

Mike..Hold your head down in shame..You didn't say Ronan Kennedy..No one on the site now compares with him..We really did have some beauties at one time.
