As I often mention, I am usually more into the reality aspect of Broke Straight Boys than actually watching the porn, (unless Ayden or Ronan Kennedy or Dimitri are featured, :001_tongue:), so this upcoming BTS promo for the August 9 release really caught my attention.

"In this exclusive interview, model Paul Canon travels back to Florida to visit his parents in order to come clean about his decision to pursue a career in porn. The Broke Straight Boys crew tags along and meets the Canon family to get their perspective on his decision."

This will be "must see" Broke Straight Boys viewing for me.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The part of me that likes to watch Dr. Phil on occasion is curious but those people are strangers to me not that I really know Paul but I like him and have seen into a little part of his life. I'm not sure if I can watch it. I'm afraid it will come under the "too much information" column and I'll hear or see things that make me uncomfortable. I think it's great that he's having this conversation with his family but I don't know if it's a good thing that we get to watch it.

This seems like it's something that would be a part of the TV show, first we see the boys at the house then we see them in their natural environment and in some cases we see them explaining their work to their family.

Since I naturally assume that none of this could have occurred without the consent of any of his family featured on camera, I'm looking forward to it. It should be fascinating to see how any person's family reacts to a loved on being on the business. The fact that it's that of such a popular model like Paul's makes it all the more interesting.

I do see Ben's point though that we may come out of this with more information than we are actually comfortable knowing. However that's just one part of the genre of reality tv programming and reality porn that keeps people tuning in over and over again. :)

I remember watching a show where a gay for pay performer told the girl he wanted to marry that he was doing porn with guys. when his girlfriend said she couldn't marry him, because he slept with men, he said he only had sex with men on camera and never slept with any men.
a model in a bts episode said his father was relieved that his son wasn't robbing houses to make money.
another model said his father was upset at how long it took for the truth to come out.
if I knew what happened, then I wouldn't need or want to watch. in life you never really know what's going to happen.

I fell in Love with him the first second I saw him .And through countless other models I have NEVER wavered.I would love to meet the family of this Beautiful boy.
They did something right. He is charming.I think that comes with the way you are raised.
And even though I put his face out there every damn day.And he has never said hello..I am excited to see who brought this Beautiful Boy/Man into the world. They must be special. Look at him.. I Can't Wait.

I have to honestly say, that is the first time I've ever read someone else state something I actually feel about the models here on Broke Straight Boys! It is interesting for me that, sometimes, I am ambivalent about knowing more private stuff about them. It's hard to explain! While getting to know them as real people is one thing, I guess for me, a sense of privacy and respect for that privacy is another. When someone is in the public eye, we are curious about many aspects of their personal lives. Media has a way of making that a "vulnerability" for them at the same time. Will be interesting! I was just surprised to see someone else (besides me) say that I guess!

I agree Paul can just talk and I'll listen.
Me too. At this point in time, I would have to call Paul Canon the "star" of Broke Straight Boys If in fact, the "mini controversy" last month was all true, then Broke Straight Boys did a very wise thing in keeping both Paul and his buddy Damien Kyle here into the foreseeable future. They are the two most professional models here, and are wonderful ambassadors for the site. Long live the reign of King Paul & Prince Damien!!!
