Time To Go

I would like to apologize for the way things have been. Many changes have been in the works for months and lots of new models. We have had some major bumps in the road and I apologize for the delay with things. We will now be using multiple locations, studios etc. It all starts with College Dudes next round of shoots.

Mark:

First of all - THANK YOU for responding, it means alot to some of us when you join in and give us a statement. I understand things have been changing etc.

The point that I was trying to make in my statement is that we are continuing to see the same models over and over. I understand that models are flown in and film multiple scenes etc but can't the scenes be spaced out over a longer period of time so we don't get sick of seeing the same faces (and other body parts) over and over. I have nothing against any of the models but I do get sick of seeing the same ones repeatedly over a couple of weeks. Unfortunately I do not have the time right now to calculate and chart the number of appearances by model name to make my point but I am sure it is obvious.

As far as the locations, many, including myself, voiced our opinion about the new set. It is obvious that our opinions were heard and measures were taken to adjust things with the new scenes being filmed after our comments were made- Thank you for listening and reacting.

You say that changes will be made with the next round of filming for College Dudes, what does that mean for Broke Straight Boys? I do not subscribe to College Dudes ( I can only afford 1 site) so when can we expect to see some changes to Broke Straight Boys?

Again, my comments were not made to be derogatory or put down Broke Straight Boys, I was simply expressing my thoughts as was everyone else.:2c:

Since you may not have had the pleasure or experience, often times when I have canceled a subscription to a porn site, there is an option of... reason for leaving question. This is almost the same thing.

That's true; but in those cases you are filling out a form that supposedly will eventually get to the ownership and/or management of the site. Here, one can do that by PM'ing Mark or sha. What I don't understand is the need some have to start a thread on the forum about it.

I debated whether or not to post this because people might presume it is coming from my curmudgeon-ness. It is not. I have held this view for a long time now and privately expressed it a a fellow forumite or two. And that is this -

I genuinely and sincerely do not understand the compulsion people have to start a thread announcing that they are leaving the site. Is it a matter of ego? I might understand it in the case of our "forever" forumites like mikey, jon, tampa, because if any of them were to suddenly disappear that would be a tectonic shift here in forumland. But someone with 6 posts in two years - not so much. But other than that, I just don't understand the need. And cynic that I am, just because someone says they are leaving, there is no proof they have done so.

I understand what you are saying. I am not one of the "select" or "chosen" few that you may have mentioned but I am a long time member.
I understand what you are saying about members choosing to start a thread announcing their departure. It is YOUR choice to open and read the thread, no one is forcing you to.

With that being said, many of us, particulary not the select group that think they know everything and are in charge of everything and that think it is their job to patrol and and coerce the topics of the forum, feel that they can and should express their feelings toward the site, the scenes etc.
Many of correspond with each other through the forum and in stating that we may be thinking of leaving or will be leaving is letting their friends know what is happening.

So it is in my opinion that people who are on their high horses in the forum should ride off into the sunset instead of bullying other members in the forum. If you do not like the topic of a forum no one is forcing you to open it and read it.
I understand that everyone has the right to voice their opinion, but I, for one, am getting sick of the select few thinking that their opinions and statements are the only ones that should count.

I know I will get a smart ass comment form one of the select few that thinks he is perfect, and you will notice, I will not respond to him, I choose not to accept his bullying.

Have a nice day!

Just sign my name on the bottom of your post and that's how I fell too! Its also ok for people to express their opinions whether I agree with them or not. I've said it before the people who write on the forums are a small minority of the membership. They don't say anything just enjoy the porn. If they stay they enjoy it if they cancel they either don't like it or another reason. As long as they get money coming in to make a profit and give jobs to all who work here it works, if not then Mark and others are smart enough to get it to work or close the company. Its been here for along time and expanding. It must be working! I enjoy it here and the forums are part of it.

Hi lpdude,

Although I am one of the "senior members" due to my many posts, I love the forum and respect everyone's opinion here, and if you were to leave the site and forum, it would sadden me, and I would appreciate a parting note from you. I guess I like the idea of closure, and for someone such as yourself who has been a part of the forum through so much, I would like the opportunity to say goodbye.

But I am taking Mark's statement at face value, and I hope and trust that there will be a marked improvement on the site and that you and I will share this forum for a long time to come into the future. :thumbup1:

Thank you for your kind words.

As I have said I will be staying around for a while to see what happens.

I just needed to vent towards a few people that seem to think this forum is only for them and their opinions. We all are members of the site and have the right to say what we feel. Some people just don't get it and if they do they are to self absorbed to realize that their opinions are not that of others.

Again, thank you for your comment, I do appreciate it.

The forum has got nothing to do with the original posters comments. It is a very minute part of the membership, should you wish to participate - the majority of members do not. So basically, the last few posts are not relevant to this thread, they're just a way for some disenchanted member to get at certain forum members. Totally offside.

Hey Lpdude,

I would hate to see you or Chase go. I am greatly heartened by Mark's post. He's not wearing blinders and he knows that many things could be improved. That alone gives me the hope that things will get back on track. :)

Thanks Tampa, I hate to entertain the thought of leaving. But, it seems it is just more of the same over and over. I don't see a need for every scene to be kiss, suck, fuck, call it a day. It was so much more fun the way that David use to tease us and the models along. Oh well, I guess nothing remains the same in life and we just have to adjust or move on in a different direction.

Indeed Chase, it was a very successful formula that David used that kept so many of us coming back for more as we watched the progression of each new arrival to his futon. "Kiss, suck, fuck" is available all over the internet. Broke Straight Boys was unique and hooked so many of us. I feel that Sha is returning a bit to the "tried and true" methodology of BSB1, and Mark's recent comments give me reason to be optimistic about the future.
