Think you guys are in trouble

A mixture of the old and new would not be a bad idea while the site gets back on it's feet. I think it's something Mark should consider. I hope he didn't let all the BSB2 boys go without a game plan for what appears to be a reboot. James and Brice Jones, two boys who seem to really be straight, and hot, are great finds. mixing them in with Cage Kafig and David, which I like, is cool. But I think more of the bigger name, older models would keep things interesting as the site rebuilds this year with new models...preferably straight models as the name says. I understand the need to try new, more out of the ordinary things for now, but please, just for now. I hope we don't end up with a site full of Trevors....Just say'in...

Where is Antonio? I kinda liked him. I thought he had potential. If he could be persuaded to come back, that would be nice.

Thanks,
VULCAN

It's all a matter of perspective. Where someone might see trouble because he doesn't like certain models, others might think it is a time of joy because they like the models. As best as I can tell from remarks over time from members who have been here since the 06-08's, the site has been through various ups and downs as far as what some members think of certain models - even under the sainted David Adamson. So why should the 2000 teens be any different?

It all comes down to freedom of choice. As I posted earlier here in response to Frontier's initial post, if you don't like the product being offered then don't continue to buy it and peruse the internet for a site that will give you what you are looking for. From what I understand, there are many, many sites out there from which to choose.

And there is also the caveat that Mark and company know things we don't. The forum, especially those who post on any regular basis, is but a drop in the bucket of the paying membership of this site. And if the great majority of members are continuing to pay for the site, then it is logical for Mark to infer that they are generally satisfied with the product being produced and offered for sale. That's not to say there isn't any room for improvement - any human endeavor is subject to that. And I think that's what we are seeing now - Mark, sha, et al trying to fine tune the site to make it even better than it is.

I completely plan on sticking it out with Mark and Sha. Did you know that? Of course you didn't. I have been through the archives with David's work (say what you will about him, he turned out a great product,) and BSB2. Both are fine examples of porn production. Why leave? why suggest directly or even indirectly people should leave? Why not ask why people are here first? Looking for porn? Well, that's quite simplistic; we're all here for that. But there are people here that been members for 6 or more years--through ups and downs, but they either hang around, or came back. They must get something out of it...like entertainment, connection with other people on the chat board, etc...to stick around. So ask, why are they here, before saying people should leave if they don't like it.

As far as I'm concerned, find out something about why I have been a member now, on and off, for over 4 years,(or did you even know that? Just because I recently joined the chat board, doesn't mean I just recently learned about the site) before giving me simplistic advice on a site I keep coming back to. I don't run at the first sign of trouble; that's not my style. If you've noticed, I have been supporting Sha and Mark with idea's and suggestions...and many have been constructive.

Those members of the site who aren't giving their feedback have the option of doing what I did back in October: create an account, and join the message board to make their voices heard. It's jut like voting; register and have you're say about something that's important to you, that is if they feel it's important to them. You assume those who aren't posting plan on sticking around. Some may just be waiting for their subscription to run out, and then they're out: Don't assume they're happy just because they're quiet...

No, I don't like Trevor. As someone has said in another tread, every scene is just another day at the office for him. He's just another pretty face and nice body I can find on any website on the internet. He has no personality to offer, no interesting back story, the dude is just bland--Just putting in another days work. I guess he is serving a purpose for now. But I can say I wont miss him when he get's lost. So yeah, a matter of perspective, but it aint that serious. Also, I don't like Paul or Damien. But they are beloved around here. But you know what I do? I just don't watch their scenes unless they are with someone I really like, and that takes care of that issue. It's really quite that simple, no drama necessary...Just say'in.

First of all, I wasn't addressing your post specifically and I don't know why you would presume I was. Frankly, I can't remember any of your posts on this thread. If I do address a specific post, then, as I am now, I always quote the post I'm addressing; or mention the posters name as I did with Frontier. My post was discussing the issue - raised for what seems like the 500th time - of dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs on this site. I know why I am here and why I continue to be here. I would presume that most if not all members plunk down a monthly fee because they want to see quality gay porn the specific type of which is offered here. But the motivation of others is of no concern to me.

As long as I feel that I am getting my money's worth of enjoyment and satisfaction here, then I will continue to remain a member. If a time should come that I do not, then I will cease being a member. And I can't understand why others who bitch and complain that they are not happy with the site would continue to pay for something with which they are dissatisfied. That's what rational consumers do in a marketplace surfeit with supply. It really is just that simple; and ...

...Speaking of drama - reread your post. ... Just sayin'

What nobody has noticed is that Frontier started the thread and has not commented since then. I suspect, as I did on my original post, that he started this thread while under the influence and to see what reaction he would get from the members. He has certainly achieved the latter.

Dude, relax your mind...Have a spot of tea with some lemon or a dash of gin

All I'm simply saying is you, nor anyone else, can tell people they can leave if they don't like it here, people have the right to speak, and spend their money how they wish. Mark as a business man, I'm sure knows he isn't going to make everyone happy. The constructive criticism is really all that matters. Constructive criticism and good ideas can get things done. But you telling people how to spend their money(you didn't make it), where they should stay, as far as websites go (which goes back to spending their money; again you didn't make it, you can't tell them how to spend it,) goes way beyond exaggerated sense of self. Everyone has a breaking point. When/if people feel they're just not getting what they want, they will go else where...Just say'in.....

Question: Why would you comment on a topic that's been posted for the 500th time and complain about it? Just ask'in

You know, I'm glad you told me you directly talk to people when you have something to say. It's nice to know where people stand, and nice to know if you have something to direct to me you will. I wasn't saying your post was drama, I was using the word drama as if to say no need to get upset. I should have been more clear about that. But, if you feel my post was drama, I'll take that. There are several aspects of my personality where passion has been useful.

Thanks,

I read this post last week before watching Saturday Night Live's 40th Annv. Show. (nothing to do with this site right?) But what I felt while watching skits from long ago, by people who really were what made that show what it is...now many are gone, moved on or are entertaining us in movies etc. It will never be the same, nor will the same Players bring the kind of laughter I once enjoyed. It's still a funny and entertaining show!

For me, I discovered Broke Straight Boys a while back, enjoyed the models and the scenes and evolved with the site overtime too! Everything changes over time. I've learned to adapt and enjoy!
