There ARE GOOD people out there

(While hoping throughout this VAST forum, I have looked and have not seen, (and if already so, plz merge,) a RAoK........please share your experiences, we all need a little bit of happy talk in these dark days of recent times

I decided to dine out at a never before tried "Mom and Pop" Diner. So, I sat down, looked over the menu, and after a short minute was greeted and asked beverage choice. I was ready to order my dinner, a Mexican combination: 2 enchiladas, taco and rice and beans with soda and water. after finishing the meal I asked for the check, to which the server replied, 'Another customer already took care of your tab, you are free to go". "Who was it, I asked, (because while by NO MEANS am I affluent, I am NOT POOR"). "They wished to remain anonymous".
So I conceded.
However as I was exiting the restaurant, I saw a family that frequently check out my lane at work, give me a 'thumbs up' signal.
OF COURSE I knew them (from the store), so went over and thanked them, and asked if I could give them a hug of appreciation......before I could finish asking, I was being embraced.

I've had people at work do the same, buy me lunch etc. I have paid it forward several times by jumping in when people are short when at a cash register in the grocery store etc. I have had times when I couldn't rub two pennies together when growing up and in my 20s, so I know how hard it can be to just buy a gallon of milk or a dollar loaf of the cheapest bread (that's much more expensive now BTW ).
