The Price is Right vs Let's Make a Deal?

Ummm -

I don't like "The Price is Right", anymore - because of Bob Barker's insufferable defence of the beavers I like for my HATS. (I will concede, to Drake, however, that when I was young, it was fun to guess the prices of the FABULOUS showcases, which were far beyond anything available on Canadian game-shows: whose biggest prize was mostly "dinner for two", at a restaurant in downtown Moose Jaw.)

"Let's Make A Deal", I sort of HAVE to like, in principle, because its host, Monty Hall, was a Canadian. Unfortunately, it wasn't carried on the one channel we had, at the igloo at the North Pole, when I was a wee lad.

"Family Feud" was mildly entertaining - in its original incarnation, featuring Richard Dawson.

On the whole, Drake, I choose, as my favourite game-show (this is a rather obtuse and hermetic joke, for Tampa, and Stowe, and perhaps others): "Firing-Line", hosted by William F. Buckley ;-)))

Chortling wickedly,
"A" ;-))) XOXOXOXOXO

Monty Hall was the host that I remember of "Let's Make A Deal" too Ambi, with the announcer Kenny and the girl who revealed the prizes Carol.

Yes I did! I was there with my fraternity brothers and I was told by the staff that I was hysterically funny - lol. when I got up on the stage, I actually did a free standing flip once I won the race game and my 4 prizes consisting of a home computer, TV, pool table, and a BOSE home stereo system. I made it to the showcase however I was over. Amazing experience. If anyone ever goes and you want to get chosen as a contestant, when they interview you before you go in to the studio audiance make sure you show your energy and excitement

Wow that is an AWESOE story Spartans!! Id love to see that episode haha. Great tip by the way for getting called into the show (show energy, enthusiasm, excitement etc.)
Great post.

That was a great old school video with Monty Hall in it. I just watched the whole thing from beginning to the end! I like the zonks back then haha.

That's cute, Drake. You seem way ahead of your age when communicating with people.

Thank you... I have been told that I act more mature than my age... & I will continue to communicate with you guys so you don't have to worry about me going anywhere !

Again, Thanks
Drake
