The one that got away

i called him and left a message on his voicemail.

OMG! That's such a brave move. I feel queasy and nervous for you, and I've crossed all my fingers and toes, which is gonna make it hard to walk until you let us know one way or the other.

That harpy! ;) How dare she cast doubt! Positive thoughts only!

i think she love very much. she not into watching gay sex, but loves the solos. i showed her picture of colin. she said those eyes!
anyways, i was sadden when i read that colin wouldn't be in san diego. now here is how my friend from the train comes in.
when i first met him i talked about the boy from the train with my two best friends. a straight guy and a straight girl, they were a couple, not anymore, not for long time.
they each ask me if i was going to call him and i said no. i didn't know what to say. they said, hello is a go start.
she knows i chose to do nothing then and now i want him to my bon bons to fill an empty spot. with a name like chad.
12 hours and no call. damn the bon bons never wait for your call!

this comes down to being madly in love with colin vanguard. not the pictures on the wall stage. but i love reading his threads and watching him.
if i could look into his eyes one time, then i would rather that than eternity without chance to do so. one time!
now chad is handsome young man and will be a good catch for some lucky person.
just thinking much easier it is to love a performer you see on your screen.

A good friend is more important than most things in life. My besties have helped me navigate through some seriously rough patches, and did so with love, humor, reality checks and good, old fashioned listening. I'm glad you have some good friends in your life. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you. xo

i have good friends in my life here and in my real world. lucky and blessed!

The important thing is, you called him...

In years to come it will be better for you that you can say "I'm glad I did" instead of "I wish I had"....

thanks! i love that! glad i did instead of wish i had. will have to work that into a speech.
i acted as he ask me to. i called him! he never said he would answer or return my call. not pressure there.
i could have acted before the offer to talk to me expired. lol

i want us to able to look back on the actions we take today and each be able to say, i am glad i did it, rather than i wish i had.
look how that sounds. thank q

That's the best advice I've heard in forever...short and sweet and positive!

I wish I could take credit for it - but alas I can't. It came from my other board where a member was announcing that they wouldn't be around for a while as he was planning on spending time with a dying relative. He explained that he wanted his future to be full of memories instead of regrets and that being able to say "I'm glad I did" would be a source of comfort, as opposed to "I wish I had" which would have haunted him.

I love these little one liners that seem packed full of common sense. Two others that have always stuck with me are:

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass - it's about dancing in the rain."

and

"Don't cry because it's over - smile because it happened."

a pal of mine and i would take long walks in spring and fall rainy nights. such a comfortable feeling walking and talking in the rain.
i thought of that when i read don't wait for the storm to pass, dance in the rain.
thank you for the words, while they did start with you, i was touched by them and have incorporated them into my thinking.

this other board of which you speak, tell me this.
is it one of those board where grammar police stop any flow because of sentence contruction?
where people stop being nice and start being real? like from sweet to shitty.
next i'll be asking to see what it can do.

^ LOL. Unfortunately, we do have a sprinkling of grammar and spelling nazis there - but they only throw their toys out of the sandpit occasionally!. Considering the diversity of the site ie it's international membership, varying ages, professions, ethnicity, race and education you'd think they'd make allowances for English not being everyone's first language. But I guess if it makes them feel superior in the absence of a big dick, then whatever!

The members can be 'nice' and/or 'real' - we just don't permit personal insults
