I am sure I will hear if this post is in the wrong place or not but, I am willing to chance it!

When I first started to participate on this forum, I was welcomed with open arms to; "Share my thoughts, opinions and views about the content of scenes or general discussions related to the site."

After being here a while, I am quickly learning that; thoughts, opinions and views are "subjective" depending on whether or not certain members agree with them. I try to respect what others feel, think or how they enjoy the aspects of the site content without feeling that they are "wrong" because, I may see something differently. That's called respect. In the future, in an effort to ameliorate any misunderstandings someone may have with "my point of view" I will make every effort to state how that topic of conversation IMPACTS only Me and or my viewing pleasures. Hopefully, it will give no opportunity for "what sometimes feels, the NEED for others to; attack, insult or ridicule...what I express as my opinion, thoughts, views. They will be mine and not subject to any else's interpretation, unless...they choose to do so. That's what I'm going to do!

I have two rules that I follow for myself.

1. If I like a scene, I will post my comments before reading anyone else's so it doesn't influence what I want to say.

2. If I don't like a scene, I normally do not post. I may read the comments for curiosity but that is all.

In most aspects of life, and particularly sexuality and therefore porn, it is all totally subjective and there are no absolutes, no rights or wrongs, just our own personal perspective. I would never want to try to force my own personal turn-ons to others, but instead like to state my opinions. Of course, it is nice when someone else has the same point of view as me, but if they do not, I most certainly respect their thoughts as well. The main thing for me, is to be respectful of other's point of view and never to belittle or ridicule someone who thinks differently than I do, as our differences are exactly what makes the world go around.

Very well said Betu. The open exchange of contrasting ideas is what gives spice to the world. Of course we don't want to attack people for having a different point of view either. Especially if it is on something of less than earth shattering importance like our tastes in porn or models. lol There would be little point to even having a forum if we were all in lockstep agreement with each other.
