Tattoos love em or hate em

I thought I would start this thread about guys with tattoos. Someone recently made a comment on one of the threads that they thought that Cody Smith's tattoos were ugly, which I disagree with and it got me thinking about what other commentators thoughts are on this subject.
Personally I am a big fan of this artform, in fact I do have tattoos myself so you could argue I am a little bias in this direction.. I do view tattoos as an art form, mainly because of the amount of work I know that goes into creating some stunning imagery and also the cost it's not a cheap hobby by any means.
For me I also find tattoos sexually attractive and indeed the more a guy has the more attractive I am to them. So in the Broke Straight Boys world models like Cody, Ben Dover and Jake are top of my list of attractive men on this site. Coupled with the fact particularly for Ben and Cody that they are hairy and in Ben's case ginger (he goes top of my list closely followed by Cody).
I personally don't find any tattoos unattractive, but if you do please remember that it is an individual choice and usually they have some meaning for them, whether its a statement about themselves or something that has happened births of children are a good example.
So what does everyone else think, are you a fan of the tattoos or do you hate them, if so why.

I agree about the half finished tattoos although to be honest some do take a while to complete and as I mentioned they aren't cheap so maybe it's a cost factor too. Yes love tribal tattoos too, infact both mine are tribal designs. I love guys that have shoulder and chest tatts these for me are so hot, probably why I find Cody so hot as a model.

Of course to my way of looking at things, they are both so beautiful that anything would look good on them. And the same goes for JAKE, my favorite model on this site in the past few years and actually one of my all-time favorites. On another model, I'd probably say his body art is too much but on Jake it all looks so beautiful because he is.

In general I don't like tattoos on men. But there are a few exceptions. If they are well done by talented artists and they are tastefully done, I don't mind them. We've had some models over the years though who got bunches of tattoos that were done by amateurs who thought they were better at their craft than they really were. lol One of my peeves though is when a hot looking model with a great body gets graffiti tats that have no real significance to him. They may be very random cartoon characters or something like that.

You can definitely tell the difference between the guys who carefully choose all of their body art, and the placement thereof...versus the guys who got drunk on their 18th birthday and said, "I wanna go out and start getting some tattoos." As in, it doesn't even matter what the tattoo is. "I'll just start putting permanent random graffiti all over my body. It'll be great! People will like me more and respect me more for having tattoos." LOL

Tampa again you found one of my favorites. He fell out of favor with Broke Straight Boys even though he has a Broke Straight Boys tattoo. Try explaining how straight you are to some girl with a Broke Straight Boys tattoo on your side. Lol. Anyway many of us have said that we like or don’t like a particular model because they remind us of someone in real life. Jackson reminds me of an ex straight boyfriend Steve who was a skinny black haired guy of Norwegian decent with piercing blue eyes and a very deep voice. Steve had a very long dick and a cocky attitude and while he would do oral and fuck guys he had never taken it up the ass till he met me. Steve didn’t have any tattoos but he did have a similar cocky attitude and really reminds me of Jackson. Steve had the consistently tightest ass hole I fucked on a regular basis. I remember once when I was trying to get another straight boy to do it I told Steve to tell him it was ok and he said yea man I take it up the ass in his cocky sexy voice. I realize that some people have very strong opinions on tattoos, especially those of us of a certain age. After all, when we were growing up pretty much the only guys with tattoos were either in the Navy or had been in reform school and/or prison. "Nice" people simply did not get tattoos. That has changed significantly and I have noticed that men and women, especially under 35 have a very different attitude about body art. I have always liked "bad boys" but I grew up on or near Navy bases for a sizeable part of my youth. I have no tattoos myself but I have plenty of friends who do. I also know that pretty much everyone I have ever known who did have a tattoo has a very specific reason for each tattoo they have. I don't have any issue with tattoos although I have seen some photos of some men and women who in my opinion went way too far in covering themselves with tattoos.

As for Jake and the other guys in the Broke Straight Boys platform, I have never had an issue with any of them for their body art. Jake is damn sexy and his tattoos make him even sexier.

You are so right in what you say Juanjo, in my youth also the same was said and it is only with sports stars like David Beckham that attitudes have begun to change and I for one am glad of it.

Generally speaking, not a fan. A small tattoo on the arm is fine, but when they go all the way down the arm, or when they cover a back or torso, I want to gag. Not attractive to me. I don't watch scenes that feature models who are "tatted up" as they say. But again, to each his own. That's why we can scroll.

In years past I was right where you are Music. I hated tattoos. Perhaps for the same generational attitudes that Juanjo and Foxyman refer to above. The stereotype being that tattoos were (at best) for sailors, but mostly criminals and prisoners, and rough and tumble kind of bad-boy, shady types of characters. I've come to be more accepting of them though as society has come to view them with less negativity. But not to the extent of becoming a fan, like Foxyman. haha I can even remember falling out of love with certain Broke Straight Boys models years ago who went crazy with adding tattoos.

The same thing has happened for me in reverse though too. Certain models I grew to be much more accepting of, even as they added more. I wasn't crazy about Cage Kafig when he first showed up, mainly because of all the tattoos. But I grew to really really like him. His personality as a human being totally won me over. Then it was like every time he showed up he had ever more tattoos added. By that point I was already so won over by him and invested in him, that I had no choice but to overlook the fact that he was absolutely covered in tats. haha I'm glad though that he didn't go into his beautiful face with ink. That might have been a bridge too far for me. haha

I am neither pro tattoo nor anti tattoo, but rather simply take an honest look at the model and ask myself "do the model's tattoos add to or detract from the appearance of his otherwise hot body?" It's a very personal subjective thing, and everyone is obviously entitled to his own opinion as let's face it sexual attraction varies from individual to individual. Just yesterday, I posted that the young Irish red head twink Wade Hicks enhanced his appearance by adding the green shamrock tattoo on his right butt cheek. Almost all of the photos posted on this thread I find to be hot, especially Jake. How large a percentage of your body is tattooed, quality of the tattoos and whether good or garish colors are also factors. I thought that, taken in total, Cody's tattoos slightly more detracted that added to his otherwise great body, but that is just my opinion, and I could be wrong. I really like Cody he is one of the few hairy guys we have ever had, he reads the forum and we went off on his hair and he cut it and looks so much better. I think he is going for the Celtic look with some of the Tatts. I would prefer him a bit more natural myself but his furry ass is all natural and I love his eyes and his chest. He can trim his hair and he did but he can’t really undo the tattoos so I think we should continue our general practice of not disparaging individual models looks. He obviously likes them and I follow him on twitter and I have seen a couple of Post saying more tattoos. I understand some people get addicted to them. Anyway I’m very glad he is here and hope to see more of him. As long as he doesn’t shave I’m ok with the rest.
