Tate Thompson

Mark is usually very good at clarifying things with his postings here. I'm surprised that there is not comment on Clay.

Tate is really beautiful with those superb blue eyes and a very nice body. I like that he is a bit more mature as this gives some diversity to the site. I truly hope to see more of him with another guy.

As to the director/interviewer, I liked him very much, however the chatter went are too long in my opinion. Other than that I would like to see him hone his craft a bit and stick around.

Tate is definitely a keeper. More of him, please.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for the comments/messages so far. I just wanted to chime in to let you all know we hear you loud and clear and we are reading and taking notes from comments on the episode page and on the forum.

We want un-biased comments, so we are staying quiet for a bit so we can get honest thoughts on what you all think of the episode so far. It is true we have many episodes by the director Clay to show, I am happy that we were able to get Spencer Todd back whom you will see more of in less than 24 hrs...

I know I speak for the rest of the staff when I say we truly appreciate you voicing your opinions/thoughts. We would not be here without you, so we love that many of you are vocal to tell us what you want, this is to fine-tune and provide a quality site most everyone here can enjoy. I promise we will bring you more news soon, but for the time being please let us know what else you liked/didn't like about this first scene.

Hey Chuck! :)

Some people might feel entitled to know more instantly about what's going on. I for one am very happy with your explanation and will patiently wait until you are ready to disclose more. :001_smile:

One other thing I will reiterate, and I think Mikey has already mentioned it...but I too was very pleased with the audio in this video. I would much much rather have to turn my volume down a little bit, than to have to keep my master volume on max and the WMV on high all the time. Having to turn down my volume to enjoy a scene is a very nice problem to have. haha I could hear everything very well. Yay! lol Kudos to the audio and editing staff. :thumbup1:

On another note I briefly noticed that Tate has a large mole of sorts on his thigh. When I saw it I thought immediately that that could easily be taken care of by a dermatologist or even a general practitioner in some places. I've had those same kinds of moles and all it takes is for the doctor to freeze them and then they fall off on their own in a few days. Then within a week you can barely tell there was anything there. If they actually cut them off or biopsy them, then it leaves a red splotch there for a few months. So freezing them with liquid nitrogen is actually the better way to go.

I wasn't even going to bring it up because I didn't want Tate to think I was nitpicking his body. Tate has a very nice body. But then Tate brought it up himself. From the comments on the episode page:

BrokeTate on 11/21/2013
"Well guys I hope you enjoyed and I read most of the comments. This is my real hair for anyone wondering not to sound snutty I just want people to know.. And my mole if will see about getting removed... I just have to wait till I can pay the bills I have now:). I hope you all enjoy, I'm sorry if you didn't..."

So while Tate may not have joined the forum (yet), he is reading some of the comments already. :thumbup1:

This was another comment from the episode page that I found noteworthy. From Bryce on Tate's episode page:

wm-bryce on 11/21/2013

"hey guys.... we have most of the episodes shot through the end of the year, but we are listening. We'll make sure that when we do the next round of shoots in December for release in January that we get those ass and feet shots that you all are requesting!"

Damn Tampa! Where are you finding all of this information! I appreciate it though!

Tate is hot! Love the scruff. He seems real. I really liked the cameraman and camera work. Good conversation. Very good questions. Only two comments on him: 1) Interview a little too long, but enjoyable; 2) keep his hand out of the picture. Damn, Tate is good looking. More please.

With all due respect, Chuck, this is non-information information. We have been told many times over that you guys read the forum. When are the comments made on the forum not un-biased? You imply that something is afoot regarding Clay, especially when you refer to this episode as "this first scene". That is really childish. You should refrain from implications and wait until you have news to give instead of throwing out implications which are just grist for the rumor mill, unless of course that is Mark's intent (I assume you posted this with his blessing if not at his direction.) So you want unbiased, unvarnished comments - here goes:

1. I joined Broke Straight Boys just as Broke Straight Boys 2.0 was beginning. I almost didn't join because I couldn't bear sitting through those interminable interviews of Broke Straight Boys 1.0.

2. David has a terrific personality, and he could really relate to the models in an easy manner. Clay has the personality of a rock. I've said more than once, I'd like a director with the personality of David, but the brevity of Clay. I don't need to know every detail of the model's life. Name, rank, serial number and a few pertinent sexual anecdotes (first time you jacked off, first time you had sex, most unusual place you had sex, etc.) are enough for me.

3. The director in this episode had neither. He took almost half of the scene time with mind numbing prattle and the way he handled the model at the beginning was demeaning. While he had a more gregarious manner than Clay, he was abrasive and in trying to be humorous came across as a bore. He is not the answer to your problem for a director.

4. Let's pretend that all these guys are straight. Then the director has to instruct and/or suggest different positions and avenues of having sex. With Clay it has been getting too boring. Most non-solo scenes were just suck and fucks and when it came to fuck, there was no innovativeness - that has to come from the director.

Okay, a short comment: don't know when it was produced, can't remember the name of the studio. However, yesterday I was surfing free gay porn sites and clicked on one at random. The cameraman/director's voice was clearly and unmistakably that of Clay. And not just the voice but the familiar line of patter with the models. I make no claims as to what that means, just that it was definitely Clay and the site was not Broke Straight Boys

Well Stowe,

Chuck asked for comments and opinions and you gave them. I don't see some of the reluctance to immediately share what is going on behind the scenes of the site as something to get so angry about. Most sites would give members nothing in regards to any major changes. We are fortunate to have a forum in here that allows mgmt to communicate more directly with the membership in regards to possible changes. But just because they can doesn't imply a mandatory obligation to do so at every turn.

I understand that you are among those who prefer shorter interviews before scenes begin. I'm among those who prefer somewhat longer ones depending on the personalities of the models. Though not as long as the one in this scene, for reasons that you and others have already articulated. Standard rote questions about first masturbation experience and first sexual experience can become rather dull also if over-used. If an interview happens to run too long for people who don't like them, there is always the fast-forward button. Just saying...

Tampa, I basically agree with you that the longer style interview gives me more insight into who the model is or at least the character that he is portraying on the site. Getting to "know" the model is important to me and one of the things that originally attracted me to Broke Straight Boys, as a "reality style/porn site". However this new director is totally opposite of what I enjoy. I was weaned on David's laid back "bedside manner" but the new guy comes across as aggressive and not friendly or soothing at all to the model or to me the audience.

And I do agree with Stowe that Mark should know and respect his longtime audience by now, and that "we do care" and that this is not just another site to us, and for us to "tune in" and find a totally new voice with no explanation of what happened to the old one is a bit off putting to me. I agree Tampa that "Most sites would give members nothing in regards to any major changes", but to the hardcore loyal dues paying members of Broke Straight Boys this is not just one of "most sites" to us, and to have Chuck post his comments AFTER we asked WTF is going on is a bit insulting.

This is a instance (for me) of "SOLIDARITY" and support to my fellow forum brothers (and sisters) if you will! As long as I have been a member of this site and now have a better understanding of "how it works", it's been clearly established that Blu Media/Broke Straight Boys has made this site something unique by having a Forum where members can discuss scenes, communicate with each other, the models and the staff as well as being encouraged to give feed back in an effort to provide the best entertainment to all that subscribe. That being said, it would make sense to me that members are going to want to know about changes that will impact their viewing pleasure. Whether on a technical, mechanical issue, or otherwise. Granted, how the business is run is only a concern if we are "stock holders" but we're not talking about that here. It's obvious that there are members who've been loyal to the site for a while and this kind of loyalty should be taken a bit more seriously and with (I dare say) respect!

Amen brother. That is exactly how I feel too. For a relatively new member who has only been here since last February, Betu, you have an "old soul" when it comes to matters of Broke Straight Boys, and the things that are important to me are important to you as well.

I like the interview style very much and really hope that Tate stays around!!!!!

A couple of things: 1. Clay may be working/starting up a new Blue Media acquisition. 2. Broke Straight Boys owes me no explanation. It will all play out. Perhaps they are auditioning new cameramen before "The Announcement" some of the Forum folks are waiting for. Personally I like the anticipation and mystery. 3. A few weeks ago someone talked about choking. A little sexual choking never killed anyone. If it did, they died happy.
Strive for tolerance, kindness and patience. May all creatures be relieved from suffering.
