Mark I have found it to be true that many guys will suck a dick or get fucked before they will kiss. There are exceptions. When they do straight guys kiss great. But I certainly understand this and I think the direction Broke Straight Boys went with boys starting out kissing in every scene really got away from the theme of Broke Straight Boys and had many of us referring to the site as broke gay guys. I understand it was easier to hire models from agencies but the site lost its way along the way. But many new members don’t care and are used to how the site developed. I’m interested to see how the new reboot works. Going back completely in a time machine to the early days program won’t work well either. But getting fresh guys to try new and probably uncomfortable things is the name of the game. If two straight guys or even a straight and gay can be talked into kissing for a monetary incentive even when it’s not what the straight guy would do but it’s his job and he wants to please then hey that’s where it’s at for me. That’s how I feel. I wouldn’t mind if the kissing were more tentative, maybe the more experienced guy has to push for it. Because what I wanted was scenes with guys genuinely pushing their boundaries, but minus the aggressive kink you would see on most sites with that premise. I checked out Broke Straight Boys because straight guys doing gay for pay porn offered the best set-up for what I was looking for. The straight bit was pretty incidental to me, as I just wanted to see guys trying something outside their comfort zone. I was not finding that anywhere else that wasn’t paired with serious kink, which I was not interested in.

In fairness, a lot of the newer stuff on Broke Straight Boys has not been my style either. I wanted to see guys stepping out of their comfort zone, and lately most of the scenes have been guys who are super comfortable with everything they’re doing. On the flip side, though, early Broke Straight Boys scenes do very little for me. They just feel too mechanical. So, in all honesty, while I would love to see changes, early Broke Straight Boys is not a format I’m eager to see become the default again.

I also wonder how well that format will work now. Things have changed a lot. What does believably straight mean? Likely different things to different people. I worry that upcoming scenes will involve a lot of bad/over acting to fit that “straight guy here for the money” premise. There are a lot of options to make money now, so I have a feeling guys who are willing to do gay for pay porn are much less likely to consider themselves 100% straight. Add to that the fact that younger people are starting to really shy away from labels and gender norms, which returns to the question of what is believably straight? Specifically today, what is “believably straight” to a guy in his early 20s auditioning to film gay for pay porn.
