Sergio Surges Into Jason

Also ..it will be nice when I write. Line after line And not be so chopped up.

I'm guessing that that part is due to typing on a phone rather than a PC keyboard. I think maybe you're accidentally hitting an "Enter" key that is dropping you mid-sentence down to the next line, rather than keeping your sentences joined to the same line. If you click the "Go Advanced" tab before you hit "Post", you'll be able to see how the text lays out. Then you can fix it if the sentences don't line up, before it actually gets posted.

Oh. You're welcome! :)

I couldn't agree with you more...and I'll take the heat on the talking during the actual sex, ultimately it is MY fault. This video is part of the very first round of shoots I directed, I went into these shoots completely blind...did not watch one single scene from the previous director as the company wanted to go in a totally new direction with style and overall feel. The models did have fun most scenes with the pre-sex banter and many times it carried on into the actual sex scene....a total distraction for the sex and a bad oversight on my part...as the director it was my responsibility to recognize this and I dropped the ball...BADLY! The models are not to blame...Its my responsibility. I can't change what was already done, but have made adjustments since these initial scenes. You will still get the same type of interview style pre and post sex as we all feel it helps to bring out the REAL personalities of the models (verses the typical Q and A so common in porn) but NO talking or joking will carry on during the actual sex portion of each production as I TOTALLY agree...it can really detract from the overall sexual mood of the scene itself. You are going to also be seeing a BIG upgrade in the lighting on set....the audio, and the overall quality of the resolution itself as we brought in new equipment...the company brought in everything on my wish list production wise to improve the quality and I think you'll be very happy with the result. I'm trying to help members understand our past and current status with production...I hope this helps. Thanks for the constructive criticism!

Welcome to the Forum Johnny!!
:waw::waw:

The past is over and done with. I prefer to live in the present and then the future. The future sounds great!! haha :thumbup1:
I know we may still have a few scenes filmed in the old way...but everything you're saying Johnny is music to my ears.

Thank You! :001_smile:

Thanks and Welcome! Obviously, you've read both pro and cons regarding the scenes' direction. Your account and explanation is truly appreciated. My question has been, (jokingly) were you influenced by Alfred Hitchcock in anyway. Obviously because of your tendency for the "cameo's". But all kidding aside, I know that you come with a lot of experience. This site, with it's "interactive" nature via the forum, lends it's self to people wanting to be kept in the loop. Changes of any sort it seems, people want to know. It's really just the nature of this beast! So thank you for availing yourself to the members via the forum!

Hell, I like Johnny's style already! I'm a "chatty Cathy" anyway so that really appeals to me. Welcome Johnny, nice to have ya here!:welcome:

I have a different angle on the talking during the sex scene. I feel that since it's about straight boys doing gay sex, there shouldn't be any "touchy-touchie" or sentimental feelings during the sex scene. They're being paid to do gay sex not acting for the Oscars. If romantic gay scenes is what is preferred then go to the a gay porn site. Broke Straight Boys is about straight boys doing something that they don't normally do - gay sex. So when Jason and Valens talk, well its about what straight boys talk about to break the ice before doing the scene. They talking is perfectly normal for what they're going to do.

Johnny, in the comments section of the scene page you said you intended to start a thread here by which you would explain the direction you are planning to take this site, and several other matters. Do you still intend to do that or is this quoted post from you do that?

Thanks Johnny for your comments. I look forward to seeing your work. I have to say I am very happy with the pre and post coital banter - I do think it brings in the character of the models and for me makes them into real folks I would enjoy meeting socially. All too often porn sites have no banter or have something so entirely made up it is almost difficult to see or hear because it is so obviously fake. One of the great things about Broke Straight Boys is that there is a tremendous amount of interaction between the model/staff and the viewing members. That is refreshing and I have to say it is one of things that has kept me here.

Yes...what I'm going to do (on the Q&A thread for director) is go over various things we are doing and why. There have been changes since these initial videos and adjustments...I want to take the time to go over various aspects of the shoots individually and explain them in detail. Just been a bit busy to do so as of yet but you can look at that particular thread and will see the posts - thanks again!

one of the things I mentioned many times when I chatted with sha and others was that cold starts did not give me the feeling that I was about to watch straight boys have sex. with cold starts I could be watching any other site with gay sex. I really like the opening banter. disliked the talking during sex. love the post-sex exchange.
when johnny started I could see the improved camera work and comment on that.
what I miss most is the title page with the name(s) of the model(s) and the rough production date. as it stands now, change and improvement are in the heads of the viewer. if this episode was produced in December, then when comes the change and how will I be able to recognize change has come?

Good question and REAL easy to distinguish the shoots...before we did the second round of shoots...we went into studio a full day early...without the models. We did this to add quite a bit of lighting and back lighting. In the first round of shoots I was battling so many dark spots on set and we wanted to improve that - with the backlighting an easy way to notice some is round white lamps on both nightstands. With the improved backlighting you should notice a better separating between subjects (models) and the background itself on most shots. Added some new key lights out front as well which makes those scenes look MUCH brighter and really pop. Not as many shadows as before (including penetration shots) I believe the "hand" stayed out of that round of shoots as well...either way FOR SURE it never came out at anytime during the third round...so to answer your question and clear things up - simply look for the bright, white round nightstand lamps. Thanks,
Johnny
