I have been trying harder not to voice my opinion, because it gets misinterpreted. In my first comment on this thread, I had stated a couple of times that of course I was going to give this style of filming a chance. I also said I wasn’t against David filming these scenes, and I, in fact, welcome it. I never said I didn’t have faith that David wouldn’t find the hottest, straightest guys available to film. Yet, in the responses I got back, I was answered with the comments that give me the impression that you just think I’m complaining. Broke Straight Boys is my favorite site, and there is nothing more that I want than for it to succeed and be the best ever. Why in the world would I ever want it to fail? I raised legitimate concerns, because I am a consumer too. In my second post on this thread I asked if any of you in management actually read the scene threads. I wasn’t saying that to be snarky or hateful. I actually wondered if you read the scene threads, because I do. The comments I see are usually “it would have been better if there was cum swap” or “it would have been better if someone would have licked that up”. Or, “wished there was rimming”. Or “I liked his body better not shaved”. It concerns me when you say not to expect kissing or rimming.
Two months ago we had two oral only scenes that did not go over well. They are currently in the 3s. People complained and were speculating why we got these oral only scenes, and Mark’s response was that they were just trying something new and it didn’t work. Did everyone forget that? I didn’t. So it puzzles me why Mark would spend money on oral only scenes when we just stated on this forum 2 months ago that we didn’t like them. Now everyone is acting like that didn’t happen. It also frustrates me when other members suggest that if we’re not happy with the style of filming here that there are plenty of other “gay” sites that we can join. Like I’m not aware of that. Reminds me of last year when I suggested more diversity and was told by members that there are other sites that cater to that. If you want me to go, just say so. I’m only having the balls to tell Broke Straight Boys that oral scenes stopped for a reason. People were sick of them. And I’m an ass man. Rimming is my thing. If ass eating is going to be a rare occurrence, then you’re right......this isn’t the site for me.

Hi everyone...just a quick update...in the past several days I have been swamped with models that will really fit the bill for Broke Straight Boys site. New fresh face models that are believably straight. Most of them are first timers and I am building up production.

We also decided that you guys have brought up a great concern about the solos...yes..I agree, if the site updates 3X per week, then having the solo is not a problem..but now with once a week updates...I can certainly see why there is a concern about doing a solo and then waiting a week for the oral and then the anal scene.

The Broke Straight Boys scenes your going to see now, have the standard, duo solo, oral and then anal...that is only 3 scenes. As I am filming more Broke Straight Boys scenes, I am not doing the solos...its starting out with oral and then anal. Do keep in mind, most of the guys I do hire are VERY new to filming and VERY new to having sex with guys (which I know can be debatable) so I have to go slower with these types of guys.

I just watched the youtube video as well. I just wanted to post my thoughts about this change. I am not opposed at all for change, especially during these times when there is a pandemic and people don't want to risk filming. It's actually understandable that people just want to do be extra careful. I also realize there are members that have been here a long time and even since the beginning. However, there are some of us who haven't been here since the beginning, and in fact have only been here a few years. I NEVER asked or wanted Broke Straight Boys to go back to the original concept of the site. Of course I am going to give it a chance, but I got the impression from the youtube video that most members wanted original Broke Straight Boys 1.0. I can't speak for anyone else, but all I've ever wanted was straighter non experienced models and more diversity and yes, I am talking about black models. We have gone from 3 updates a week to 2 updates a week and now 1. I am not particularly excited about waiting an entire week to see a jack off scene. I don't necessarily want to see an oral only scene either. We had oral only scenes with this last group of models and they weren't popular. Don't get me wrong, I'm not shitting on the idea of David coming back and filming scenes and of course I'm going to give it a chance, but I think most people just want some good, straight fucking. I applaud Broke Straight Boys for offering these extra scenes for 100 days of summer, but next month it will end. Is the site going back to 3 updates a week or 2? Because I just can't handle "baby step" videos once a week.
I rarely post on the forum anymore. I am losing interest to be honest, and I am sure I will get major clap back for my opinions here. I agree that Broke Straight Boys needs a bump, a nudge. But, I also think TALENT is the number one reason a person joins a site. One reason why Broke Straight Boys was so popular during the Denver mansion days was the talent. Talent was untouchable. The men were FUCKING HOT. THAT is what is missing at Broke Straight Boys Just my two cents. Please don't think you can change my mind, I am stubborn in my opinions and they will just remain the same. Just entertain me, and I'll be happy.

As our taste in porn and what we consider hot and what is not is so subjective, management can never provide the type of stuff that appeals to all of us. It is impossible. I personally have become very bored with the majority of the porn presented here recently and I rarely watch unless a model that really turns me on is involved. There is no progression as most guys seem open to all types of gay sex from their their first scenes here.

I can only judge from the forum but many members who were here from David's Broke Straight Boys-1 and from Clay's era of Broke Straight Boys-2 are no longer members. Many more folks joined along the way as they enjoy the fit gay guys who are all in with the entire range of gay sex that the models perform from the outset. Neither group of fans is necessarily right or wrong. Due to the pandemic, shooting has stopped in the Atlanta area and the Miami area has the type of quick testing that is necessary to film porn today. And that is where David's D&E studios are based. So circumstances have dictated the change in studios for now. Perhaps newer fans will leave and perhaps older fans will return. Perhaps at some point there will be a vaccine that will allow Sha to resume shooting his kind of scenes from Atlanta, and Mark may be able to increase the updates to the old schedule and present different styles of scenes to satisfy a broader range of the audience.

I can only speak for myself, but I am thrilled for the opportunity to see if David still has that magic touch of convincing straight guys to expand their limits week by week. My favorite scenes are watching a formerly straight guy discover how good gay sex feels. That is my kind of Broke Straight Boys scene. I am very excited to see what the near future brings here. But as my late friend Johnny would say, "That's just me". lol

If you are a newer member of Broke Straight Boys, this is a great time to go back into the archives and watch what everyone is calling BSB1.0 and also watch BSB2.0, these scenes are great examples of Broke Straight Boys filming and what Broke Straight Boys is all about. Watching porn is very subjective and we all love our style of boys, and porn and action and what turns us on.

Here is my prediction. The duo solo scene of what D&E filmed is going to go up. The old members are going to love it and feel as if its classic Broke Straight Boys and some of the new members are going to hate it and comment and state its a waste of an update week. Which we realized after the fact and agree so we are not filming solos anymore going forward, but the scene is classic BSB1.0.

I am not expecting every member to love what I film and I know some will love it, some will hate it. Members will come, and members will go this is the eb and flow (spelling???) and the nature of this business or any business people either support the business or don't support the business and there are folks that are in between.

I ask everyone to please give it a chance. As I stated in previous posts and threads, I only filmed thus so far 3 scenes and working on hiring more boys. It takes time to ramp up especially since I haven't filmed Broke Straight Boys in 9yrs so it takes time to ramp up especially in the current environment we are dealing with regarding the covid-19 virus, its becoming more of a slower process because we now have new protocols in place to protect the safety of everyone filming.

It also takes time to tweak the production as well as we go along. I read, and everyone reads the concerns and suggestions of the members. If not here on this board, in emails, private messages and such, and we do our best to cater production as we move along with updates. Everyday is a work in progress but we are making it happen

I'm excited about the return of Broke Straight Boys-1 reboot! But like Jay I like the sexy scenes. I love the kissing and rimming! Straight boys do both of those!!! I just don't want to get bogged down with a lot of boring oral scenes. You have to do something to make those scenes a little more than meets the eye. I am ready to sit back and watch the show unfold over the next month or two, as he hires more and more new models and incorporates his old techniques with the desires of the porn consumers of 2020. I filmed Moreno a few weeks prior to filming Broke Straight Boys scenes. When Moreno applied, I knew he was gay4pay and would fit into the Broke Straight Boys type of model. However, we were still hashing out the protocols for filming Broke Straight Boys and College Boy Physicals during this virus. In normal times, Moreno would have been hired just to film Broke Straight Boys or got his start first on Broke Straight Boys But because we had to film and keep up with the updates, and keep Moreno interested in filming and keeping him in our talent pool and he really needed the money, I got him started on College Boy Physicals so he doesn't go off to another studio and film.

One of the major issues when hiring a model is that models are not waiting for studios, if a model applies to a studio, and because of the money, they go to the studio that offers them work and the sooner the models gets work and makes money, that is the studio they are going to start off with first. There is no loyalty when it comes to models these days. Back in the older days, a model would be a lot more loyal, but today...they go were there is work offered to them and make the most so when I had Moreno applying, I had to jump on it and get him in the doors to get him started before he goes off to another studio and decided not to work with our studio.

Moreno is not very keen on sucking dick or touching another guys dick so I did my best to film him for College Boy Physicals and work around his needs. On College Boy Physicals Moreno has one more scene which he fucks the other boy.

On Broke Straight Boys, he is paired up with Skyler. Skyler is another new model. He never filmed before...he is fresh and he also has a great back story why he is filming. When I hired Skyler, I already knew I was going to be filming Broke Straight Boys so I contacted Moreno because I knew he would be perfect for Broke Straight Boys I wasn't sure if Skyler would be good or not. Skyler is bi-curious...but was willing to keep on open mind and try filming (that is all I ask for someone that is new).

Although you guys brought up the issue that you've seen Moreno getting his dick sucked so it doesn't make sense for him to do a solo. the first scene is a duo solo were I have both boys together. The scene isn't really to introduce Moreno since I already knew he was going to appear on College Boy Physicals it was about introducing both Moreno and Skyler together. I had to start Skyler slowly because he's never did this before and I wanted Moreno to touch and suck another boys dick, Moreno doesn't want to suck dick and I had to work around his issues and respect his sexual tastes, and then Skyler that has never been with a guy before especially filming gay porn, so this was all new to Skyler and I had to push the envelope with Moreno which you don't see on College Boy Physicals so I had to start a bit slower and you get to know both boys and there back story which also adds to the spice of Broke Straight Boys
