This appeared on Ryan Field's twitter today. I would suggest that those who feel so inclined, visit and read the issue. I did donate because I always liked Ryan's work and his interaction with me on Twitter. Your opinions and inclinations may be different. That said, if they are different I would hope that you would refrain from making negative comments on this post concerning your opinions of Ryan. It really is not the time or place. https://www.gofundme.com/6qyuffs

I feel so sorry for him. I hope he gets what he needs... He seems to be a very sweet boy.

Oh my gosh. Poor Ryan! It sounds like he's been through hell. I will keep him in my prayers.

I echo both Bart & Tampa's sentiments. From reading the post on his gofundme page, Ryan has been through hell. It is horrible for anyone but particularly such a young man. Hoping for a speedy and complete recovery!

Damn, he really has been through the ringer, and at such a young age. I remember not too long ago Sha mentioned at the beginning of one of his scenes that it was his last scene for the week and that Ryan would be glad to get home because they can't drink during shoot week. I thought it was an odd statement to make and hoped that alcohol didn't have an oversized place in his life. I'm not judging Ryan but that comment stuck with me and at that young age kids just see themselves as invincible. Whatever the cause I wish him well.

I would not place too much into a an off the shoulder comment by one person about someone else. Not to mention, when I was a young man in my 20's like Ryan is now, I certainly drank and smoked a lot more than I do now in my late 60's.

Shannon and I both made donations directly to Ryan / William. He really is an amazing guy (not only on camera but in real life). He really is suffering at such a young age and I know he appreciates all the love, prayers and any donations that you guys feel like you can contribute. The complications from his gall bladder removal have been immense. -bryce

Actually, the comment was made by Sha to Ryan himself. As I said, it wasn't a judgement just an observation. I'm sorry I brought it up, but I do hope for the best for Ryan.

What does 'a stint in his liver' mean?

It’s a type of drain tube. There are stints to open arteries but generally when a stint is placed in the liver or pancreas it’s because fluids are not able to drain off correctly. These are often temporary.

I got a notice Ryan is doing better. He got the tube out of his nose.

Rather than oxygen that's probably what's called an N.G. tube. Or nasal-gastric. If the goal is to prevent stomach acids, random food particles, etc, from reaching the digestive tract, they put that tube in the nose and a suction pump pulls out the stomach acids and contents into a container by the bedside. I've had it done myself in preparation for, and recovery from, surgery on the intestines.

If there is a blockage in the intestinal tract there is literally feces that has nowhere to go but to back up. The NG tube removes that.
