After reading David’s reply to this thread earlier today I have spent the day mulling this over, as I am somewhat shocked at his comments. At one point even considering dropping my Broke Straight Boys membership

Denny Bear, I respectfully totally disagree with your post. I am a white man in my late 50's, and over the last 20 years have worked with many, many young black and Spanish guys, who are into hip-hop culture, and rap music, etc. They call each other "nigga", in a friendly fun way, and believe it or not, they engage in similar banter with some of the white guys working with them them. On occassion, I have been called a "cool nigga" too, and I laugh it off. It is all done in a friendly, non offensive manner. When I first starting hearing it said, I was shocked too, but I came to understand that it is part of today's slang in urban areas, and does not have the same meaning as it did in the past. It is all in context, and not the same as a white man calling a Black person, a "lazy n......er". That is a totally different context.

And to ask if something is acceptable to be said in Wal-Mart or in church, is not applicable here, as this is a gay porn site, where barely legal young men get naked, and jerk off, and suck cock, and fuck ass. Try that in Wal Mart or church.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I think political correctness sucks, and that in 2009, in the right context and spirit, words like "nigga", or "gay" or even "faggot" are not offensive. And the videos on Broke Straight Boys often star young street wise kids, who dress differently, and speak differently and wear their hair and have tattoos and body piercing's that are way different from the more mature members of the viewing audience. I despise censorship, and I like seeing the models being and acting as closely to who they are in the street. I don't want them dressed, or shaven or groomed to look more "acceptable" on this site. I want this site to remain as close to "reality porn" as possible, and that includes the language and idioms of today's youth.

I don't choose to write often anymore because the presence of my name seems to draw immediate negative reactions from some of you. However, as a member of the Modern Language Association and a researcher in words and their ever changing uses and meanings, I must tell you when a word is in transition there will never be agreement on it simply because everyone hears it differently.

Rifle, I do not always agree with what you write on this forum, but I am 100% in agreement with your entire post. Thank you for stating my feelings in a most eloquent manner.

Let me take this time to point out some issues that *i* have with certain members. I know many of you are paying members of this site and yes *i* realize that we are operating a business and i truly appreciate all our members that patronize all our sites. For those that were offended by my remarks...i deeply apologies but i say again, it was not meant in a hateful way. I have many friends of different race & religions and none of them were offended. The fact of the matter is that its a common slang word used by the younger generation.

As for *my* issue with certain members who come to Broke Straight Boys site and watch this site...lets not forget, this is a porn site! And nothing is "decent & proper" about porn! Secondly i'm actually sick and tired of hearing about my "racists" remarks, that was in no way any form of being racists, so what amazes *me* while i'm being called a "racists" on this site, lets not forget about when i film many black americans for Broke Straight Boys site. For one, anytime i film a black guy on Broke Straight Boys site, its one of the lowest ratings on the site compared to when i film a white guy. Secondly, when i do film a black guy on this site...we receive several private emails commenting on, "why do we have niggers" on our site (and this quote came directly from a members email to me) and we as a company have to hear and read emails from our own members bashing us privately in regards to having black models on our site. We have received several hate emails from paying members telling us its a wasted update, were canceling our membership, i was accused of turning the Broke Straight Boys site into a all black site. I was told that if i continue filming and updating the site with black guys, that many members will cancel there membership and this came directly from many, many of our members. Heck..i just got off the phone a few days ago with a member that has been on the site for many years and he thanked me that we know longer film and updated the site with "black guys" and then afterwords he remarked that he wasn't a racists....lol.

Lets not call the "kettle black" when we have many members on this site that are true racists and prefer not to see black models on our site and send us numerous racists emails. Personally i like black guys and i don't have a problem with them on the site...but to satisfy our "paying members", we don't bring them onto the site due to the backlash we as a company receive. Now who's the racists?

Ok well I guess that's an apology, at least were going to call it that. And for that I sincerely thank you David for offering it. However please let me make a few things perfectly clear. First NO ONE repeat No One has said you or any of your staff are or ever have been a raciest. You said, I think on the other thread that you were being called a raciest. We know that you did not say it to be mean or condescending in any way. You said you are being forced to defend your self. I certainly don't want you to feel that way and I am very sorry if I may have made it seam that way. The truth of the matter is I am probably one of your biggest supporters and I sincerely admire your work. In fact I was just getting ready to send you a very nice private message bragging you up after seeing some porn on another web site when all this started. David here are the simple facts and how things should have gone. You did screw up but only because you said it on camera and only because it is a questionable statement. What you say off camera is your business and nobody cares. You your self said you could understand why some people would take it as a racial slur. Next it could have been simply edited out so that it never became an issue. Please do that next time. And last when it was brought to your attention all you needed or should have done was to quickly get on line take responsibility and say oh sorry guys simple slip of the toung my bad wont happen again and this whole thing would have been over. That's all anyone has asked of you. It is not personal, no one hates you, we all love you to death. You simply said the wrong thing at the wrong time and it offended so far at least 3 paying customers. Your the store manager simply take responsibility and deal with it. Hey Denny,

I thank you for your kind and conciliatory words towards David in your last post. I would like nothing more than to move on from this. You bring up an interesting point about the respectability of this site. Of all the sites out there I feel that this is one of the most dignified and least trashy of the sites out there.

Most of the reason I don't feel that this is a trashy porn site is because of the tone and standards that David, Eddie, Mark, etc. set for the models and us. They fly models in, feed them and give them a place to stay. They get to know them as individuals. David is not the stereotypical sleazy pornographer who treats the models like a slab of meat to be used and quickly discarded.

He makes a point to interview them on camera for our benefit. We can hear what their voices sound like and get a sense of their personalities. We know we have to take models' answers to questions with a grain of salt since they are trying to protect their true identity, place of residence, etc. But the banter that David provides us with helps to give the site a friendlier feel. It beats opening every scene with the beginning of full on sex. So in short Broke Straight Boys has never felt like a "typical" porn site to me. And David gets credit for that.

So on that point Denny you and I are in complete agreement.

It seems to me that the "N" word topic has been pretty well hashed out and hopefully we can all put it behind us and move on. Thank you, David, for being open and honest and another thank you for dusting off the Josh & Ridge material. I happen to be among those who liked Josh a lot and felt terrible about some of the comments made after an earlier video. Thank you for standing up and posting this latest one. I'm very surprised to hear about David receiving hate mails and phone calls just for putting black males on the site and note what he says about members votes when he has in the past put black guys on Broke Straight Boys I also subscribe to UK gay site and there is a similar situation on that site too. As far as I am aware there have been no hate mails but the films in which the models appear certainly don't get as good a rating as two whites.

Taking away the hate mails etc, maybe it isn't racism that puts the majority of members off watching black guys perform. Maybe it's just their preference and of course, if the majority of members are white and a lot share the same view, then this will be reflected in the voting.

I cannot condone the hate mails and abuse you are getting and if I were in your position then I would barr their membership.

Let me first start off by saying that one of the nicest things about this forum is we can openly and honestly state our opinions. WE can and Do disagree.

I am very disappointed and disturbed at where this has gone. It seems like we are nit-picking something almost everyone missed. If we did that with every episode, I think David would end up in an insane asylum. I am in agreement with Mike, Tampa and Rifle on this one. I see no need, what so ever, for any apology from David. And it is interesting that one who "accepted" the apology in the same post said, "David screwed-up".

Lets look at the facts. THIS IS A PORN SITE, DESIGNED TO ENTERTAIN AN AUDIENCE. NOTHING MORE!!!

I've been a member almost from the beginning. I think they had just one page of videos at the time I joined (now up to 28). What I most admired about the site was it seemed real, natural and not set up. In many cases even David did not know where an episode would go, and in some cases he was blown away (Take the Pizza boy episodes). In doing things live and un-rehearsed you don't know what will come out. This makes it real. Yes they can edit it to make it pretty, clean and short, but then it is not real and raises more questions. I for one like the realism the true honest actions and words. That's what life is all about. Thank You David for giving me and your fans honesty.

All of us are very fortunate that we even have a forum to share feedback with management. And to have management actively engaging with us so they can improve their product. Change does not happen overnight, but since last October when this forum started, the overall quality has gone up. Thank you David for listening and making change.


To those of you who felt you needed an apology and a commitment that this will not happen again get a life. If you are that upset, then by all means leave and go somewhere else where they edit the hell out of their movies so it is "perfect and normal".

I am even more offended that David gets hate mail every time he uses an African American in his shoots. I had no idea this was a "White Only" site. My advice is if they don't like it they don't have to watch them. And if they are offended, they can leave.

David, as for the low ratings from the African American episodes, I think it has nothing to do with the color of their skin. I think it has to do with the fact for the most part they were not "into" it and that lead to a "boring" episode. Justin had two very well received episodes (with Tony at 4.6 & 4.1), William (with Ricky) came in at 4.3 as did Derek (with Tyler and Dustin) and Brandon (with Cole, Damian) coming in at 4.5. The rest (Corey, Malachi, Axel) plus the solos were where the low ratings were. So David I would hope you would only screen out African Americans if they don't have the look, chemistry or ability to perform.

This site will never be "PERFECT".

Two reasons: One is basically when you filmed live anything can (and will ) happen and Two, each of us have our own likes and dislikes. I, for one, am not into the solos. There are some I've never seen. I'm not going to "jump ship" because of them. I'll wait until the next episode.

So where do we go from here?

Lets all get off our "SOAP BOXES" AND WAIT TO SEE NU AND GINO HAVE A CUMFEST.

You are so right, Gremlin. This is a porn site. We all pay our money to access this site primarily because the films get our dick's hard, and we like to jerk off watching hot young guys getting naked and having sex. This isn't Emily Post or Miss Manners or The Martha Stewart Show.

All this so called outrage over words that real people use in real life every day, is hypercritical to me. We are watching supposedly real young straight guys, and oh my gosh.....they say words that are not politically correct.
