The Brief But Hot BSB Porn Career of Logan Slater

Wow guys! Mikeyank did that hotel have a bar with a window in the pool? We all have had some of the same experiences. I guess this is why we subscribe to Broke Straight Boys I loved reading all of these comments particularly of how these guys are 3 dimensional. I get porn crushes on some of these models and am always interested in learning about updates or behind the scenes information on them. My all time fav is Kodi and I wondered why he made a bunch of videos then exited the industry. That mystery will continue. Either way thanks for sharing all these stories.

You are indeed welcome entonces65! And yes the main hotel on the strip in Fort Lauderdale which seemed to be central to the young hustlers was the notorious Marlin Beach where the pool did have window where the patrons of the "Poop Deck" bar could look in. Here are some pics of the pool at the Marlin Beach, but I could not find any of the window.

And upon further research I found a blog called "browardmemory.blogspot.com" and this story and picture telling how The Marlin Beach Hotel was used in movies including "Where The Boys Are", and here is a shot of the windows into the pool from the downstairs bar, although it was "heteroed up" for the mainstream films. lol

Note: I just read the fascinating article linked above and anyone who remembers those days should read the 31 comments by readers at the bottom of the article. Great mutual memories from gay folk all over the country and the world today. It was a magical time.

"Completed in 1952 the Marlin Beach was the jewel of the Beach’s hotels. Just across AIA from the (the place where Beach Place is today) it had over 105 rooms, a stage and dance area two restaurants, and a courtyard with a large pool One of the restaurants was downstairs and had a large aquarium type window onto the pool, allowing diners to enjoy their meals while watching the goings-on under the water in the pool. Both the hotel, and the dining room window were featured in the 1960 movie “Where the Boys Are” that established Fort Lauderdale as the place to lay in the sun in the day and party at night."

In regard to pretty young Kodi, I do believe that the site owner Mark told us that "Kodi found religion and quit the porn business". But while he was here he sure had a very positive impact on business for Broke Straight Boys as I know my friend Johnny told me that Kodi was the reason he joined Broke Straight Boys after seeing him on one of the tube sites. And I'm sure that Kodi attracted many folks to the site during his brief but very impactful time on Broke Straight Boys

He sure was pretty!

I’ve been told that Zeno Kostas found religion as well and gave up porn and gays supposedly but I think he is too gay for that to last. The mind finds various ways to torcher us. I hope they all come to peace with themselves and their brief porn careers.

Hey Rep! :)

I wouldn't say that Zeno Kostas stopped filming because he found religion. He was already very religious (and quite possibly spiritual) before he got here. He posted in here fairly often at the time and sometimes he discussed some of religious faith and moral underpinnings as they carried him in his journey through life so far. I felt a connection to him on that level. Kind of like we were kindred spirits of a sort.

After he left Broke Straight Boys he did a stint as a dancer at a gay night club. I don't know the details or locations. Sorry. haha Had I known, I might have been tempted to fly out myself. haha If I had been able to touch but the mere hem of his garment, I'm sure it would have been a blissful religious experience. :001_tt1: :jesushippy:

Zeno Kostas has a very respectable job now where he contributes to society and helps others in need. So I'm very proud, pleased and happy for him. :)

Nicely put Mike. Living in Florida I have had similar experiences. I may have mention going down highway I95 or US1 , around 6 or 7 pm, picking up hitchhikers and inviting them home, for a shower, hot meal, and a safe place to bed down. Many of these guys were on their way to South Florida for adventure & life experiences. Some, not all had lived difficult lives and wanted to get away. They were looking for something they were not getting at home. I was blessed with many stories of decent guys, of course this was doing the 80's for me. I also was blessed that most of the guys was honest, and only wanted a couple of dollars to make it to their next destinations. I enjoyed the scene at the time, some of the guys were straight, experimenting, some bi while others were shun by their family because of their sexual preference. In today's atmosphere your taking your life into your hands, to get that experience. The Vasice case was high profile, but their are many which don't get into the news. Which is sad. I understand your like of the Broke Straight Boys's, but don't forget my friend a lot of Bi & Gay boys were on the roads also,(I know you don't.) Just wanted to give them some love also.

Interesting. Not too long ago in New Orleans the "back pack" boys fad hit. For about five years or so, young men (mostly straight) would come to visit the French Quarter of New Orleans with just a back pack and no money for lodging. They would go to one of the Quarter's gay bars and wait to be picked up. You could bed one of them for the night for no money just sharing your bed, but you would get one and only one round of sex with them usually mutual oral. After that they considered their rent for the night paid and that was it. I did partake of one very good looking straight kid who gave very good head, but just once for the night. The trend became so strong that the gay bars began posting "NO BACK PACKS ALLOWED" signs, which eventually put an end to it. The hitchhikers you picked up kind of reminded me of the back pack boys.

Was the blond kid on the diving board one of the hustlers you picked up? If so, I envy you.
