I know there's some conflicting statements for me in there rapper. But, in my defense, let me say (1) liking Jason because he reminded me of a fifties rock star, slightly cocky and thin like Bobby Rydell and a killer smile, doesn't mean I enjoyed his power bottoming - I never got through all of any of them - they're just not my thing and (2) you're very right about David's control of the brutality, when they get too close to the edge, they don't return, which is the road down which several have disappeared over the years. Since he was in the room and he's the responsible party, it's his judgement that counts.
So, in the end, if it's
Taz we're talking about in "Return Models," Would I vote to bring
Taz back? No. Would I watch
Taz if he came back? Probably not. Would I get all upset and scream and yell if he came back? Hell, no. I'm not the only viewer on this site and there are others who like him. Besides it's David's choice, not mine. I only get upset when people tell me my favorites should never be seen and theirs should be used all the time. I think David does a pretty good job of balancing newbies, oldies, and those in between with toughies, smoothies, lovies, dovies, coolies, hotties, jockies, pinkies, skaters, maters, and masturbaters and an occasional fratboy, goth, flunky, junky, cowboy, sailor, and marine thrown in for variety. Somewhere in there he seems to hit most of us.
The problems seem to occur when I affix my fantasies to one of them and he doesn't return. I get hysterical; I rant, I rave. I scream about how unfair life is. I kidnap David and tie him to a futon and get a chainsaw and scream: SLIPPED AWAY! SLIPPED AWAY? HE DIDN'T JUST SLIP AWAY! YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT! YOU MURDERED MY MISERY! MR. MAN!!
