Hope everyone is enjoying the summer



I saw this lovely Idea in few other forums, it would be really lovely if it worked in this forum,
as there are a lot of good readers and writers here



Its basically, about a novel you are reading or a novel you already read, and if you would recommend it or not? your comments, quotes you liked and others.
Its can be an old or a recent Novel, about an old and new article.
It can also be about good articles in magazines and newspapers.​

James, great idea. I am an avid reader of many years. If members of the forum enjoy the historical fiction genre, may I suggest Gary Jennings. He is the author of "Aztec," et. al. Google him for the rest. All great reads.

A few weeks ago I finished reading Maya Angelou's "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings". It's autobiographical talking about her life growing up in the south. How she was raped at 7 and raised by her grandmother. She stopped talking for a few years. Then she went to live back with her mother again. She talks about confronting racism and overcoming it. It's a really good read.

If any of you have heard of the book called "The Shack" by William Paul Young and are the least bit curious.... Run. Do not walk, to go get it. It's wonderful! The usual reaction I get from people is that they want to have every friend they know to read it. lol It's sad. It's uplifting. It's heartbreaking. Your heart will soar. You'll cry tears of happiness. It's wonderful and thought provoking.
