This issue has been raised over the course of the four years I've been a member. Management generally replies that there is a paucity of models willing to do gay for pay. Speaking for myself I would presume the methodology of recruitment and who is doing it plays a role. If your lucky perhaps management will enlighten you this time.
 
Of course it does. It amazes me that in 2015 we are even having this discussion. And I actually would prefer that management didn't reply. It will allow viewers like myself ( That enjoy the CONCEPT of the site) to ignore the inherent prejudice. I'd hope instead that Broke Straight Boys will choose to become more diverse. And in doing so they will become a standard for the rest of the industry. It's very easy to become a follower.......Difficult but rewarding to be a leader. Food For Thought for Management & Audience alike........
 
methodology of recruitment is a key factor! in a niche market, you present what appeals to your niche. diversity within a narrow spectrum goes only so far. in a universe where the audience is euro-centric, gay males, it is difficult to add individuals different from audience preference and expectation. one or two forumites have expressed their disapproval of devon and Brice Jones. if Damien Kyle was right and ratings matter, then being on page 4 and page 10 mean the membership doesn't think of you as page 1 material. those things change. only days ago, Brice Jones was on page 11 with jimmy and kyle. now there is a bias! straight Kaden Alexander is on page one (1) and bi kyle is on page one one (11). it's in the name.
who is doing it is another key factor. inherent bias and network of contacts comes with who is doing it. directing Brice Jones to big daddy would have been a big payday for any recruiter. in the right niche, he would be highly rated. that is not a slam against diversity on this site. it is to say, niches are about fantasies. it is harder to upgrade a personal fantasy than it is to upgrade a business model.

Thank you for saying that another1. For those who do not know from watching you in the behind the scenes at the pride events, you are a black man and you speak the truth. It is not racism or bigotry that are involved. It is business and for this niche site, they employ models that they believe the majority of the paying members want to see. Other niche sites feature exclusively African American or Asian models, or even "bear" types of guys which I'm sure satisfies their fan base as well.
 
Gentlemen.........Perhaps if there were more Diversity the audience would grow. " If You Build It They Will Come". It isn't a matter of the the Audience. It's what's " Presented" to the Audience that determines everything. In addition promotion & visibility also play a HUGE factor! Trust, Being both Black & in Show Biz a fella learns a bit about said topic. Just Sayin.
 
All that you have to do is check the # of replies to posts with " Ethnic" actors( Or Lack there of ) to see the trend.
 
of the last 22 model 9% have been men of color. that is an increase from a historic low of 5%. in real numbers 2 out of 22 is better than 5 out of 100. so the tend is upward. from outside it is a slow day at the lake. the swan gracefully gliding across the lake is moving its little feet like mad.
I stand by my view that Brice Jones would be a star performer on a different stage. here his in a part of a wave toward greater diversity. are the black niche and the interracial niche to fade away. black movie productions gave way to Hollywood productions.

9% just isn't good enough...............................
I am not sure what number should be enough. after a year of actively seeking to increase recuitment, 22 new models were added.
two guys of color were in the mix. also in the September the mix had Brice Jones and devon were 2 of the 7 models invited to the studio.
that is a 28% level. I am saying that the level shows progress.
 
Fortunately......It's Management that needs to respond & grow. You Sir.......Just don't get it............And in regards to you .....I'm done. Bon Nuit!
 
I don't get it! why would anyone create a thread and get pissed off because someone post to their thread?
 
In the last year we have had 28 new models and out of that lot 8 are non-white.

Now Gage Owens has something mixed in him with that pretty skin and Gage Owens looks Italian or Latino of some sort
with that beautiful olive skin. So I included them as non-white models. Now that's a high % of models
where there was a time back in the old Broke Straight Boys days where a non-white model appeared once a year or less.
I think mgmt is moving in the right direction. And another1 I'm not sure why judge would get pissed at
anyone for commenting? Oh well whatever lol
