Such a narcissist. Won't take the lumps only the praises.
Absolutely. I’m sure you saw the highlights or actually the lowlights of his public cabinet meeting where he went around the room for each member to praise his “holiness” and say why he is so great as he was mugging like a chimpanzee. Disgusting, depressing and scary are three words that come to mind to describe his first 100 days.

Yuck, I actually didn't see that yet. It's revolting.

I'm still pulling out from under being sick the last 3-4 days 🤬 I took time off on Monday for a long weekend, started feeling it Tuesday, took Thursday off for the most part and I only need to submit 1 hour sick time for the week to meet my required 40. I really need to slow down a bit LOL

Porn has always been a target ever since I started in this business almost 30 years ago now.

It's worse honestly, they are attempting to redefine what obscenity is, so they're not attacking the first amendment right directly, they're going after the definition. What is obscene? Some might consider slasher/gore horror films as obscene, but it's subjective. By adding a definition they can attack ANYTHING they chose to classify as that.

Currently there is a 3 pronged test, they are looking at changing one of the tests. "Instead of applying state law, it would add a definition whereby content would be deemed obscene if it depicts or describes “actual or simulated sexual acts with the objective intent to arouse, titillate or gratify the sexual desires of a person.”" from one website.

So there was a guy that had a sexual fixation on balloons, so technically transporting balloons would be considered a felony as someone can say that it is sexually gratifying. Another guy had sex with his car, so therefore cars are now considered obscene. Pride has scantily clad people, and could be deemed obscene. Folsom, well that's no question 🤣 See where this is going?

Yes there would be lawsuits if this actually passes, we all know that pornography is a multi-billion dollar business, so while the actual pornography itself wouldn't be illegal, transporting it across state lines would be.

Not a lawyer or anything, just really getting frustrated with the current climate. LOL

It's a prelude to declaring all LGBTQ people as 'obscene' and therefore illegal. Project 2025 strikes again despite claims that Trump had nothing to do with it.

I was just going to make a thread about it, but I thought I'd check here first.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Rep. Mary Miller (R-Ill.) both have a hand in this new bill that seeks to ban ALL adult content considered to be pornography; to rephrase—*any* type of explicit adult content, incl. porn clips, trailers, full movies, hardcore but also softcore material such as erotic nude photos, "solos," etc.

From Yahoo! News:
New obscenity bill could trigger boldest anti-porn prosecution wave in US history

U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) introduced the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act (IODA) this week, a bill designed to create a national legal standard for obscenity and ease federal prosecution of pornographic content distributed across state lines. Representative Mary Miller (R-Illinois) is backing the measure in the House.

“Obscenity isn’t protected by the First Amendment, but hazy and unenforceable legal definitions have allowed extreme pornography to saturate American society and reach countless children,” Lee said in a press release.

“Our bill updates the legal definition of obscenity for the internet age so this content can be taken down and its peddlers prosecuted.”

The legislation has triggered a wave of concern among civil liberties groups and First Amendment advocates, who argue that its broad language could criminalize a vast range of consensual adult content.

From NewsNation:

A new bill introduced by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, could make porn a crime in the United States.

The Interstate Obscenity Definition Act would add all pornography, including any depiction of sexual acts that “lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value,” to the definition of obscenity. This would make it illegal to distribute or consume porn, regardless of the material’s intent. Currently, only porn intended to “abuse, threaten, or harass” someone is illegal.

Those are two excerpts from *many* articles published about it. Adult star Tanya Tate has rightfully publicly spoken out against the newly proposed bill. It is important to remember that any right/freedom we have is never to be taken for granted!

I hope as many adult stars as possible will mobilize before it's too late! Not to sound too alarming, though. I do not mean to sound too alarming, but efforts to ban or otherwise restrict access to adult content has only increased these past years, and such content is the livelihood of many.

@BrokeStraightBoys @dande01 This sounds to be serious. I do not know how likely it is to pass (maybe @juanjo can tell us), but those anti-porn politicians are very serious about it, even in 2025. Are you going to take actual action against this in the forms of protests (incl. marches), petitions, letters sent to certain politicians, even consultation w/ lawyers, social media awareness, etc.?

@Jaybifla @chac54 This would technically only affect the United States, but it would of course have repercussions on the global porn world. For instance, Aylo (Pornhub, Men.com, Sean Cody) and some other porn companies (incl. studios) are located in Canada, but this ban could lead to loss of revenue and the eventual closure of those companies.

Well what do you know. 2 Republicans sponsoring this bullshit. I bet they both have skeletons in their closets and I hope they’re exposed. We have to do everything we can to vote all these conservative fools out of office.

Well, when all the poor uneducated people's that voted for him checks stop and their healthcare stops and their medicine runs out maybe they will realize what's up {insert surprised Pikachu face}. He literally told them what he was going to do in that damn playbook he never has heard of🙄. Oh well, I'll just continue stockpiling and rotating my rations and downloading porn to watch offline. Business as usual......

Sorry to sound so flippant, but I am just so done with this, it's taking a mental toll on me. I'm done arguing. What will be will be. I can't control it, but I can vote my one vote when an election is running. I'm hoping for the best and financially supporting my elected officials that I believe have our best interests at heart.
