Well, they’re all attractive. Most members, including me, will love them. But, I have to say that I’m disappointed in the lack of diversity. This is not a slap to the effort of finding great new talent or a slap to these boys at all. I’m assuming when you called Ethan, whose first pairing hasn’t even been released, you also called Malakai or Derek and they just weren’t available. I won’t even say anything further....y’all can all slaughter me with all the comeback insults. Most of you are probably happy as hell and don’t care. But it’s very disappointing to me. On a positive note, I hope these guys had a great time and productive week and I hope if they’re reading this that they understand I’m not meaning to insult them or their looks. They’re all very handsome.

As far as your disappointment Jay in the lack of diversity, we need to keep in mind that Broke Straight Boys is a business and from ratings and their other indicators, they do try to keep as many of their customers as possible satisfied, by continuing to provide the kind of models that get the ratings and the clicks on their scenes. From the current ratings, Jake, Sky & Ethan are the highest rated, and Mark told us that he has reached out to Jake but it is his choice not to return at this time.

There are many websites that cater to fans of more ethnic types, older demographics, beefier and hairier guys as well. I'm sure that internet porn is a highly competitive business and Broke Straight Boys has a "branding" and wants to keep as many of their regular paying customers satisfied by presenting what they've come to expect here over the years.

Much like with a popular restaurant, the owner is going to keep providing the type of food that his establishment is known for and that his customers return for, and not totally change the menu just for the sake of mixing things up. The owner and chef will bring in some new dishes for their customers to try, but overall a successful business tries their best to remain successful by catering to their clientele by providing products that sell. Those are the economics of any successful business.

Back to the new guys, I am very much looking forward to the scenes that these guys produce and I find Ethan extremely sexy and hope that he becomes a great performer on the site. Thank you Mark and Sha very much!

Jay, if you thought that my intention was to embarrass you, that was NOT my intention in any way. I was only countering your disappointment with what I consider the reality of the porn business.

It is my belief that with so many porn sites out there, each one has found it's own niche catering to folks whose desires coincide with their site. I just did a quick google search and found some sites called, "BLACK BOY ADDICTIONZ", "RAW RODS", "NEXT DOOR EBONY" to name three and also "GAY ASIAN NETWORK", "ASIA BOY VIDEO", "ASIAN BOY TOYS". Without searching I can recall watching and enjoying Latino sites as well. These sites have little diversity but they cater to a specific audience with a desire to watch certain types. And I've seen sites that feature older, beefier, hairier guys out there as well.

While Broke Straight Boys is not specifically a Caucasian site and has introduced a number of models of various ethnic backgrounds and ages and body types over the years, including over the last several months. But if you search the model pages going all the way back, the majority of models are young, 18-25, smooth, mostly white guys. Many of us have a type that we are turned on by. The reason I joined Broke Straight Boys when I did is I discovered videos of very straight seeming guys who looked like the kind of guys who when I passed in the street or met at work got me sexually excited. I do not consider myself a racist in any way, but I am innately turned on by a certain type, and I joined up here to get off to those kind of guys that excite me.

Again, I am not trying to "school" you or embarrass you in any way. And if you think I am wrong or disagree with my analysis, I would enjoy discussing it. No it was twink week! Sort of like the old days, but they will get around to it. There is actually more diversity on here than ever before. One week is not the whole picture. I think things are looking up. We have had a long string of known porn queens and “diversity” Let’s give them a chance. The sun will come up tomorrow and there will be porn! We all need to remember this site runs on ratings and new memberships. If diversity sells I think we will have it. If twinks sell. Good lord we have them. It’s still capitalism on Broke Straight Boys but they do seem to give a variety of models a chance and then the chips fall where they may. We don’t always like the results but at least on this site we can bitch and bitch we do! That’s a unique aspect of this site which far too many don’t take advantage of. I'm with you and like diversity among the model pool. It's much more important to me that the model is good looking and into the sex, rather than any specific ethnicity. Continue speaking up and sharing your opinion!

I get where you're coming from Jay. And I don't think it was Mikey's intention at all to embarrass you or school you, as it were.

I know that many of us in here put up posts whose audience is really intended to be management rather than primarily other members. We may speak up passionately about a favorite model in the hopes of getting management to bring them back for more shoots. And we may go to an extreme of our praise and lay it on rather thick just to try to make the point. I'm not implying that you were going to any extreme in doing that in your post above. Only that I recognize that you want to express some frustration and constructive criticism for the powers that be upstairs to consider. And you have every right as a paying member to speak up and try to get management to make that happen.

Just like the point I was trying to make the other day on another thread... If this forum isn't about exchanging a diversity of opinions, viewpoints and unique perspectives...then what are we doing in here? We might as well shut it down. lol It's nice to find like-minded souls and all who are in agreement on many topics. Sure, But after a certain point it can also become a complete uninteresting waste of time

From my own experience I would just say that whenever I speak up for or against a model or an idea which challenges the status quo or the prevailing mood here in the forum or the ratings...or even challenging political beliefs held by some in here...it's a given that I can expect some pushback from other members. Sometimes the pushback can kind and gentle. Other times it can be pretty harsh. And If I'm honest there haver been some times I've been the one who has resorted to harshness. It's not something I'm proud of. But in the heat of the moment sometimes our passions rule our heads.

Whether our opinions on models, Broke Straight Boys company policy or other non-site related issues find a majority of support here in the forum on any given Sunday, doesn't mean that we are not to share them. But again, conversations are a give and take. So even at times when I/we think we're posting something non-controversial, I try to get over being surprised that another person will give some pushback and challenge it. But it really can't be any other way.

Really. I just don’t understand diversity as the most important factor in porn. We generally like what we like. The dick meter isn’t politically or socially correct. I think they have a decent selection of guys. Evidently it’s hard to find new talent that’s not a flaming queen with legs spread all over the Internet. Broke Straight Boys does give a variety of different guys a chance but if you check the ratings the top models mostly fall into a relatively homogeneous category. Models are rehired on ratings and “hits” technical stuff that has very little to do with what we all blab about on the forum. Obviously twinks are very popular. I’m not really into them at all so I’m continually disappointed. I do enjoy a variety of guys. If they fit the believably straight trying gay sex situation then I’m usually up for watching.
