That was an amazing documentary, close to thirty minutes and it all seems so real, more real than I am used to watching here in my fantasyland. A lot of ground was covered and Paul and his family were often brutally honest. The reality aspect of Broke Straight Boys is a main part of it's appeal to me, and this surpassed what I expected to see.

Paul has consistently shown himself to be one of the most remarkable human beings at Broke Straight Boys This video is a great example of who and what he is. I feel honored to the extent he has shared so much of his life with us. I can only wish all the best for him in whatever future adventures he has in life. I hope some day to meet him face to face and tell him directly.

I agree with all the above. This site has come a very long way in the development Broke Straight Boys, from "negotiating" price to this incredibly honest interview with Paul. There is no question that bi-sexuality is terribly misunderstood. It was Paul who wanted to talk about "guy sex" as opposed to "gay sex."

That was so honest and heartwarming. Why should we expect anything less from our Paul!! I love the open and honest answers from his family, it was not staged because thats how close families talk to each other. I think the majority of us members have gone through some kind of addiction, me I battled alchohol and drugs for many years before I realized I was worth more then the path I was going down. The temptation does eventually wear off with clean time I can attest to that as I am 2 months away from 15yrs clean&sober. Thank-you Paul for once again sharing some more of yourself with your Broke Straight Boys family. You have been in our homes for 2 years now, and we love you!! xoxoxo Peter

Thank Paul, and please also thank you family for sharing themselves with us. I would say the same thing I tell my 22 year old daughter, "you are going to live until you are 90ish, there is time." Please take that time and work on you. I loved the interview and seeing you as "natural" as possible; you are a treasure!

Oh my God. That has to be one of the most amazing reality videos the site has ever put out. I'm almost speechless in my admiration, respect and yes, love, for the beautiful and honest person Paul is on the inside. The fact that his family was willing to open their home and share so much of their personal family struggles, left me with much awe and respect for them also. Any one of them could have bailed out on the interview and nobody would have blamed them.

I'm so moved by everything I've just seen. I'm shedding a few tears and wiping them away as I write. I don't know if I'll be able to fall asleep soon tonight without great effort to try to clear my head. So many thoughts just swirl around. Up till now Paul had made mention in the past of the fact that he had OD'd. We as members of the site were never clear on how close of a call it was, who found him, if he went to the hospital conscious or whatever. We knew that he got the tattoo symbol of poison to remind him of the dangers he's faced with addiction. But we never really "got it" until now. Watching such a wonderful family try to calmly discuss how someone they love so dearly almost died right in front of their eyes in such a senseless and tragic way, was both awkward and so inspiring to watch.

I can't imagine that the world almost had to go on without such a wonderful man like Paul in it.

It's really getting too late at night for me to find the right words to do justice to everything discussed in this video. It's so deep, complex and even emotional for me. So I will continue with a little more commentary tomorrow. In closing though... We love you Paul! You mean far more to so many of us than just your body or how physically attractive any of us may find you on the outside.

Many warm hugs! xooo

professional and gracious are the two words that come to mind. the crew was professional and the family was gracious.
my thanks to paul, his family and the bts crew.

I wish I had waited until I had had a couple of beers rather than one o'clock in the morning to watch this. That was very difficult to watch and I had to pause it a few times just to collect my thoughts and emotions. At 68 I am still dealing with many of these issues and my hands are trembling at this time while I type this. I may return later and comment on the interview.

Thank you.
Louis

Thanks for that Peter. I found this BTS rather enthralling, but some bits when Paul was talking to the camera in the dark room I found rather disturbing to watch. Paul obviously found it hard talking about these things to the camera alone and there were times I thought he was gonna burst into tears. I just wanted to be there for him..

At the end of the scene, we get another pointer to the BSB TV, so I guess when this series does get on our TVs, then we will see more stuff like PC's interview. I just hope I'm still alive to see it.

Hey,

I agree with all you guys. I guess I am out-of-step, but I also began a personal message-thread to Paul, below, about this video ("Love to Mr. Paul Canon") so that those of us who want to encourage and support Paul, can share our feelings directly with him. Mark graciously agreed that all kind personal words to Paul, will be shared, with him.

I think Paul was very brave, to do this. And I hope that lots of us will encourage him.

"A" XOXOXOXOXO

I liked how PC's family came off in this video: whereas he looked very uncomfortable (arms crossed very tightly across his chest,...), they all looked like they were all in a good place and accepting of each other.

So congrats Broke Straight Boys team, that was very tastefully done. You don't usually appear to have a very attuned 'sensibility button' but you pulled it off here.

Did no one think that the stupid asinine t-shirt that Paul was wearing undercut everything he was saying. Are you guys so desperate to prove the straightness of these guys that you cut your own throat. Ridiculous. I know people are going to attack for this but seriously, please consider what was being said by a man wearing a t-shirt basically proclaiming that he will do anything for money. It makes no sense at all. I like Paul and I wish him well wherever his journey leads. But I beg the Broke Straight Boys management to stop with the homophobic remarks. it is 2014 , the choice of your sexuality is a personal one.but it must be clear that one choice is no better or worse than another

It was so refreshing to have paul be so up front and candid. Hope he follows his dream to enter medical field. He would be a comfort to those young people who are starting down the wrong path. His chips have certainly increased in my esteem for him. Now if only Broke Straight Boys could entice his younger brother onto the set!!!!!
Best wishes paul

Not gonna attack you KellyG, we are all entitled to our opinions. Paul didn't exactly say he was straight or gay did he ? Whatever his sexuality, it's his choice but you are right about Broke Straight Boys who keep shoving the broke straight thingy down our throats.

I thought that Paul wearing the shirt saying "I'm not gay but $1000 is $1000" was brilliant.

It made me smile as I found that to be the perfect shirt for the perfect Broke Straight Boys model. It really does baffle me sometimes to discover what "offends" people who actually pay to be a member of a site whose premise is to ply straight boys with money to have gay sex. That is exactly what the site is all about. Why would someone pay each month to be "offended" if their sensibilities find the basic premise of the site to be offensive?

This is a total mystery to me.:001_unsure:

Well put Mikeyank!!!

A very poignant expression reflecting the trials and successes we all go through in varying ways. Was happily impressed by Paul's openness.

So true mikeyank and so well put. And I personally find that shirt very amusing and not at all homophobic.
