For me personally it's been a consistent run of disappointing videos. The low votes seem to confirm that others are disappointed too. I'm patient and will wait for the site to get the new groove going, but so far it hasn't been a positive change in my opinion.
Seeing Mikey over on Collegeboy Physicals was a breath of fresh air: sexy and fun. I'm eager to see if any new "stars" emerge from the new Broke Straight Boys regime but so far the prospects are dim.
I'm not canceling though .. I enjoy Collegeboy Physicals too much.

Actually, growing up in Los Angeles, and taking Spanish from elementary school through high school, abet from some truly awful teachers, the only word in Slim's post I couldn't guess at was "sabio". Maybe a third I knew and the other two thirds were pretty obvious.
The best clue, though, was juanjo's excellent post.

I've largely stayed out of this discussion, but you're absolutely wrong (which may or may not be usual for you). We endured 6 years of the BSB1 repeats over and over - same scenario, no storyline, unattractive models, same models endlessly, all gay models.. some of us were tired of it. When the site first began, it was good.. models like Aiden, Sebastian and even later models like Dustin/Andrew, etc. (Austin was even halfway believable at the start) were good models, but the site quickly turned away from its purpose (straight men or at least believable ones acting) to almost all obviously gay men with little to no storyline other than David saying "we're going to pay you to have sex". I'm glad you enjoy the endless repeats, but you had your six years of it .. some of us are ready for something fresh. I would skip dozens of episodes because of the unattractive models and repeated content. I actually look forward to something when I watch the new episodes... I'm sorry you don't feel that way, but each of us are entitled to our opinion.
You post, however, was nothing more or less than whining and they aren't going back to David no matter how whining you do. And I am thankful for that. And no, this isn't any kind of attack on David (or anyone for that matter)... I have a great deal of respect for much of David's work, but he wasn't the only one driving the car into the ditch.

I disagree with one point you made, not critisizing you, just disagreeing. You said that all the old models were ugly. I beg to differ. I think the models that have appeared since April 1, with the exception of Rocco, are un-appealing visually. They all have super short hair. Many, if not most, have facial hair. They look like they came out of the same cookie cutter. There is nothing there for me to watch. If the models all look like this bunch, and continue to look like this bunch, I won't have any videos to watch and will have to move on to another site. I hope Broke Straight Boys improves.

This site purports to represent realistic looking young straight guys that one might see as we go through our everyday lives, and if you check out the twenty something year old guys, out and about in 2011, you will find "super short hair" and scruffy facial hair is the norm on the typical young straight guy. I do love Rocco and his "hippy style" hair, but short hair is still the in look today, and I enjoy watching the same kind of guys that I see on the street, get naked and have sex here on the site.

My office building sits adjacent, literally, to a university campus with about 15,000 students. I watch the boys walk past all day long. What I see is different. I see a lot of longer hair, not extremly long, but like Cousin Anthony maybe, and clean shaven faces. Rarely do I see facial hair, maybe one out of ten. I guess it depends where you are, maybe? I had a long vacation in Ft Lauderdale last year and I saw every kind of boy you could imagine, not a cookie cutter population at all. You can find anything down there.

Living in a large urban center as I do, I see young men like the models here all the time. Most wear their hair short and have some sort of facial hair. No all of course but most. I always liked longer hair and I don't really care for the bearded look but it is not a deal breaker.
As I have said before in one way or another, everyone has their "type" and that comes to physical type, manner of presentation of the material etc. Some people are quite rigid in their likes and dislikes. They are not going to be happy about the changes here and are likely going to be moving on at some point. Others will adapt and while providing constructive criticism about certain aspects of the shoots will enjoy them although not all the models will be their cup of tea.
I have heard a good deal of criticism about Jimmy who I think is quite sexy and very real in his presentation. It will be interesting to see how far he goes down the Broke Straight Boys path. He reminds me of a former legal client who is now about 40 but who in his youth as a street hustler and as he still a handsome man, still occasionally meets up with an old client from time to time. He always told me that no matter what the circumstances, he never sucked a dick but I know from his stories as well as a few videos he appeared in that he did quite a variety of other things. But cock sucking for him meant you were gay so for no amount of money was he gong to do that. [Apparently sodomy did not mean anything at all but no one said logic had anything to do with his position.]
Rocco is a very sexy young man as is the most recent model Josh. I hope to see less foot play and please no fish slapping - that reminded me far too much of Monty Python, not a good thing for a porn site.
On the whole I believe the site is moving in a good direction. I always enjoyed David's work even though at times I had no interest in the models or the way they were presented. David was a great personality and I think did more in the way of prepping his guys and giving them off camera direction. If he has a new site, I wish I knew what it was as I would enjoy seeing what he is doing now. But I have great expectations for the direction this site is going now as well. There are still some rough edges that need to be worked out but on the whole...... so far so good.

No, I did not say that all of the old models were ugly. I said many were unattractive. I did find many attractive as well, however. I also don't agree with you at all as far as the newer models... that is how young men today look whether you like it or not .. they look like men you would see walking down the street. Please tell me what was attractive about Corey who looked like he was trying to be a female.

Juanjo, the more you post here, the more I find myself agreeing with what you say.
I think it must depend on where you are because I'm on a college campus all the time and I rarely see what you're describing. Most of the attractive look like the ones we are seeing. I don't see how anyone can say out of what 11 episodes that there's any "cookie cutter" yet.
I could have written all of that myself. lol I have had my computer in the shop for the last 10 days. So I am a bit out of the loop. So far I've learned that many of the natives in Forumland are still restless.... lol...and that "Matthew" prefers to be called Clay. I like the name. Not the least of which because it's fewer letters to type. It's good to be "home" again. haha

I don't think that ALL of the old models were cute, not even a majority. But I liked a lot of them. There is no "look" that today's young men can be pigeon-holed into. They come with all sorts of different looks, different hairstyles, different clothes, etc. There is something for everybody, especialy in Ft Lauderdale, there are all kinds of boys to pick from.
