I am glad Mikey is back and making new videos. I understand there is a shelf life for models, but I think it would be an interesting concept to use one of the weekly updates (or bonus video) to bring back an alumni model (not on current roster) and pair them with the newbies. It would be nice to see former models bring back their sexiness to our screens! It is understood their 6 pack may now be a 2 pack and their hair may be thinner, but I could easily forgive that for another chance to see old friends again.

Great idea!

I've been saying this for a while. Even if they just did sort of BTS-style interviews with some of the old models to catch up on their lives and how they are and what they are doing now, even without sex, I would be okay with that. Unlike most porn sites, many of the members here have a feeling of familiarity with many of the models -- like we "know" them and are truly interested and care about them beyond just the sex scenes. I'd love to find out how some of the old BSB1 guys are now and what directions their lives have taken. According to the original producer David, one of the old regular models is a family man now and has gained, apparently, a LOT of weight. A LOT from the sounds of it. A LOT! So there'd probably be no interest in seeing him naked these days (damn you time and aging, you bitches! :cursing:), but I'd still love to see him and hear how he's doing.

Nitefly has a great idea....let's try that...please

I know of a past performer who is willing to come back if management would just call him?

I would love to know how my Diesal is doing. That smile with those dimples always melted me! I bet Taz, Brady and Maverick are still hot..

I would love to see them back maybe a new section could be created. As for naked and having sex ,no matter what they look like I really want to see them having fun.

Great idea, Nitefly! One that has been mentioned a few times, maybe Mikey is a test to see if this works, sure hope so. Hmm, Taz, yep, would like to see that update and several more.

I would think that many of the former models who no longer are in the industry might want to distance themselves from their past as a Broke Straight Boys Assuming some are actually straight and married with kids, the family probably knows of their past, but to go back to shoot a scene or even do a behind the scenes discussing their gay for pay past might be asking a lot.

And as far as doing an actual scene, Mikey has kept himself lean and trim and still looks good, however many guys who are hot as a pistol when they are nineteen or twenty are not as pretty to look at anymore in their mid to late twenties or beyond. I think that Mikey was probably able to come back, because he is openly gay, still in shape, plus the fact that he lives in Atlanta and Sha has kept in touch and so it all the stars were aligned for a comeback.

I'd love to see more former models return, but I am not banking on it happening.

Hi Scott,

I don't know if we've already mentioned this to you in the past or not. But there is one such video in the archives which fits the parameters you describe above almost exactly. It's a catching-up interview with the very popular Broke Straight Boys-1 model named Logan. After he had quit modeling and was well on his way to becoming a medical doctor.

Here's the BTS vid:

Here's an old forum thread when we were first introduced to Logan in 2009:

It has some great photos included in it like these:

While just from the readings on this thread, I sense that there would be an interest for members' who've voiced an interest in seeing Alumni Broke Straight Boys models return. If for no other reason than to find out what they've been up to and how if anything, like doing porn has impacted their lives, good or bad. I've found in my travels on the internet, it's not uncommon to see models from the past, not only from Broke Straight Boys but, even ones who've appeared in a scene on Broke Straight Boys or College Dudes, to resurface in the porn industry. Some of the reasons vary from; "missing the adoration of fans" to circumstances and situations in LIFE where, they need to make money and since they already know how it works.......this is the option they choose. Some models I've seen have improved their body's while some have presented as though life hasn't been an easy road for them.

It is an interesting concept but, I'm quite sure that if models are still waiting for calls and shot scenes within the past year? The likelihood of past models being called in seems a tad remote to me:001_rolleyes:

Yes, I have seen that, and found it very interesting!

Yes, there seems to be a core group of models who you run into all over the place, many of whom started off here as "kids." And like a kid, myself, I always get excited when I spot a former Broke Straight Boys boy elsewhere. There seems to be a circuit of Florida studios/sites that they all hit! I've even joined a few sites that had personal favorites in their archives, just so I could see their scenes. For the most part, though, there seems to be an "expiration date" on porn models -- after a certain age they just aren't in demand anymore:old:. Some do bulk up and move into the more muscle daddy thing, but most of the old Broke Straight Boys boys I've seen elsewhere were in scenes filmed around their time here or shortly thereafter. There are a few exceptions -- Mikey's beloved Jimmy Johnson you still see around as well as Tommy aka James (who actually looks better now a little older and bulkier). I'm also sure that Mark and Sha are well aware of some of the former Broke Straight Boys boys still out there working and if they had wanted them back would have called. So for one reason or another they apparently aren't wanted back, whether management thinks we want just new, young guys and there's no interest in slightly older models or those who have already had their time here, or maybe some of them were more trouble than they were worth? I know former producer David mentioned on another site when I asked him about a specific BSB1 boy I really liked that that person had in fact recently called him for more work but he wouldn't hire him back because of drug problems. And as already mentioned, I'm sure many of them want to distance themselves from their youthful porn lives which they may regret or be embarrassed about now, or have family who would be against it or careers that might suffer. So, I'm all for catching up with and even getting new sex scenes with former Broke Straight Boys boys, but I also realize there are varied reasons we likely won't.:pokeeye:

Thank you Tampa. I just spent the last half hour or so re-watching the BTS and re-reading the thread about the introduction of Logan. He is one of my three favorite Broke Straight Boys ever and he looked fantastic in that interview with Sha and he was so open about how Broke Straight Boys had made him reevaluate his own sexuality. As I always say there are no truly straight guys who return to the futon or the set to have gay sex over and over again, but it is fun to watch a guy who starts off identifying as such and as we can watch him discover the pleasures of gay sex right before out eyes. And sweet adorable Logan may be the prime example of that phenomenon!

Yes Scott,

One of the big issues that Broke Straight Boys and other sites will not publicly disclose in the course of their decisions not to bring certain models back...is the drug use. I know it has happened more than once here. That's not to say that that's the only reason models don't get asked back to various sites of course. But drug use and other illegal activity (theft, damage of company property, etc) during the course of visits to a studio will certainly get the Welcome mat pulled away.

As an aside though, there are some bottom of the barrel sites out there where illegal drug use by the models and even the staff is actually encouraged.

Of course there are plenty of models who are good upstanding guys who choose not to go back to certain studios or who don't get asked back...and have done nothing wrong. :) So we have to be careful not falsely accuse anyone or assume incorrectly.

Oh, absolutely. I was not insinuating that any specific former model had drug issues and was not wanted back, beyond the one I asked David about and whose name I will not mention out of courtesy. I'm sure there are all sorts of reasons models are not asked back beyond troubles. Might be they weren't that popular or that the company simply wants new faces. And of course most companies would not publicly call out a former model for drug use as that could open up all sorts of legal issues for them. I suspect that many people in the porn industry have a lot of personal baggage (I've tried working with a few very recently on a couple different business projects, and in the end none of them were reliable and all flaked out on me!), and have no doubt that drug and alcohol use is rampant in the industry -- and as you say, some bottom of the barrel studios encourage it -- but as long as the models have their shit together, can perform when needed, and act in a respectful way to the company and other models I don't care what they do in their own time.
