New Member's Area Redesign

Today we are pleased to unveil a new responsive member's area of Broke Straight Boys. We gave the 'ole girl a brand new coat of paint and brought her into the modern age of web design.

We have used feedback from our members as we worked over the last several months on the new design. We were particularly receptive to feedback from our older members who had trouble reading text due to aged eye sight in the previous design. We also heard from you how important it was for the site to be responsive to all the different devices you view the site on.

The changes, visually, are pretty stark and may take some getting used to. We know that while some folks get excited when new changes happen, there are others that dislike change of any kind. We hope you'll have some patience and that the new design will grow on you.

The new design uses the latest conventions in html/css/xml/ and best practices in mobile design to ensure you have a great experience no matter if you are on a mobile phone, a tablet or your desktop computer. The site literally will change before your eyes depending on the device you are on to always strive to give you the very best experience.

Coming shortly, we will integrate the message board into the new schema so that everything matches. The message board (or forum) upgrade will also bring the same kind of responsive design to make using this message board on your mobile phone more pleasant and easier to navigate.

What's happened to the ability to download the videos, as suddenly I only seem to have the option to 'play' them, unless there's something im not seeing???? There used to be an option for mobile download etc, now I can only see the option to play??!

Hello, What browser and device are you using? It should be showing up in the exact same place as before:

I use a mobile phone and its pretty up to date. That download video option does not appear anymore. All I have come up when the video starts playing is the option for different speeds. There are no download options whatsoever

There are 5speed options on the right hand side of the video. This row of options also covers up the option for the scene to be played in widescreen, which means I have no choice but to watch videos the size of my own thumb.

Feedback from members? Were we ever asked for feedback or was this feedback not really feed "back" but just ideas given by certain members on their own initiative; and if so how many? Feed"back" implies people responding to an inquiry!!

I like the new design but will we have no choice to make the background dark like we use to?

You got that right Mikey. I claimed him almost 8 years ago Peter. I'm pretty sure his wife is okay with it too. I hope. haha I fell in virtual internet love with him before he got married. LOL

I like the new look. While it might not be perfect to everyone's taste, I fully agree that after almost ten years of black, red and white that the main home page was getting kind of tired. It was time for some dusting off and a fresh coat of paint to bring it further into the new century.

I also appreciate that you added some blue to offset the other three trademark Broke Straight Boys colors.

At risk of turning this into an IT support thread, I have a question I hope you or some other member or staff member might be able to help me with. Before my forced upgrade to Windows 10 my default video player for Broke Straight Boys videos was Windows Media Player. I liked it. Right after the upgrade to Windows 10 I was defaulted and forced into using a new video player that sucks for watching adult videos. I'm specifically talking about videos I've already downloaded. The resolution of the newer video player is marginally better. But... It has no fast forward feature other than the option of skipping forward a full 30 seconds or rewinding exactly 10 seconds. Also whenever you hit pause, the brightness of the picture either fades to near black or otherwise darkens slightly. Then you have to click the picture with the cursor over the screen to brighten it back up.

Through a cumbersome process I found that I still have Windows Media Player downloaded onto my computer and can watch my downloaded videos on it. But as I say, it's a cumbersome process requiring several extra steps each time I want to watch a video. If I finish one video on the WMP and want to watch another one consecutively, I get booted out of WMP and have to go through the same process all over again to watch the next vid. Is there a relatively easy way to reset my computer to WMP as the default video player for my Broke Straight Boys videos?

While I'm not Chuck or Anyone in Admin Tampa, I had similar issues with playback Using Windows even before Edge. I asked this question as, it was affecting my playback of sound on Broke Straight Boys videos. I toggle between Edge and Chrome and Chrome has been problem free for playback

While it did take me a few minutes to realize I was on the right site when I accessed it from my Android phone, I will get used to it and try not confuse it with the very similar layout of College Boy Physicals...LOL
