Went grocery shopping this evening and haven't been that excited in years. As I'm in the checking line I over hear a drunk guy talking shit to someone. I look over and the guys in his mid 30s and talking shit to the young guy maybe 20 or so whose paying for his groceries with a ebt card. Drunk dude was saying all kinds of crap to this poor kid, who did a great job ignoring him. The young kid stood maybe 5' 8" and had his dog with him. He finally got through and as he was grabbing his cart the drunk guy said "did you here me you motherfucker" and grabbed the kids cart. The kid said "not that it's any of your business but I'm shopping for my Mom". The drunk guy said "get the hell out of here" and went to charge towards him and I stepped in and said "now lets see how tough you are with someone your size". I was so ready to kick some ASS!!! The guy tells me "mind your own business" so I say "you made that kids business yours so I'm making yours mine". He turned away, and I said calmly "yea thats what we all thought". Yoo hoo Peter to the rescue.....:grr:

What a Hero.Did you get the kid's number.??.kidding aside..We could all use a hero sometime...We all need a hero sometime.
Nice story..
I read your story Peter I was over whelmed..

That was so cool man! I really applaud your heroism because most people would just stand there and watch in your situation. That's horrible. Only a person who has a heart and courage actually stands up for something they believe in or they believe is wrong. Good job Peter!:par13:

Thank you for sharing that story Peter. x

It's always wonderful to be able to step in and help the underdog. I hope that thanks to you, that kid was able to walk away with his faith in humanity reaffirmed. :)

Great job! Well done. Every day I hear news stories how people watch as others get hurt. We need to get involved where it is necessary.

My initial reaction to reading this was to try to think of a clever little "jibe" to tease you as I often do Peter, (and you always return the favor to me as well  ).

But in this case in all sincerity, I applaud you. That was a very cool thing to do, and I am very proud to be friends with just a righteous dude. You deservedly tooted your own horn by saying "Yoo hoo Peter to the rescue.....". I totally concur!

We ALL need help sometimes. It is unfortunate that a stranger knows how to parent better than the kid's own father.

This little boy was going around eating graps and straw berries I almost lost it lmfao! If I go in to another store and it happens again I'm going to make sure very one hears what I gotta say lolol

Oh yeah, like you don't go around "eating fruit!" :scared: Oh shit, I need some wine...you guys are too funny!

Beth, You just crack me up with your wit....I think Damien Kyle's favorite fruit might be bananas....What's your thoughts ??????

I'm thinking so, but I hope Damien eats a balanced meal...may need to add some nuts and protein; just sayin'.

Just from the interactions on the forum and comments you post peter, I am not particularly "surprised" by your actions! It's refreshing to know there are still people like you out there! Sometimes people want to take "action" but....don't! I applaud your actions!
