You know the expression, "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." That is not the case here, though. What happens at Broke Straight Boys land does not necessarily stay in Broke Straight Boys land, at least not in my case. You cannot believe the amount of stuff I have discussed here on the forum and shared with Linda. Just a few days ago I was reading to her over the phone some of the jokes on the silly jokes forum. She in turn shared a couple of these with a facebook friend of hers from Connecticut whom she finally met in person when she traveled to New York City.

What makes this forum unique is that it is not all about gay, gay, gay or sex, sex sex. It is more than that. It encompasses all facets of life and global situations. This is not the food channel or the history channel, but more like the discovery channel of all things real and unreal. It is like a family sitting around the dinner table sharing with each other their life experiences for that day.

I do find it interesting what brought certain people to the site. Back in early 2008 I had seen several teaser clips of Broke Straight Boys on various free sites. I didn't watch all of them. At first I avoided watching the 2 or 3 minute clips of Jona the Amish guy. Then when I did I was quite impressed. Then I saw the teaser clip that pulled me in. haha It was (by now a little remembered scene) of Austin and Drew. I loved the premise that these were actually straight guys being convinced to try gay sex for money. The forbidden fruit of my whole life. lol

What really got my interest about the Drew and Austin scene though was when they brought in Sean. He was just the most deliciously adorable guy. He looked so young, skinny, innocent and shy. He looked perhaps twinkish except that he pulled it off without looking fem or gay. When I saw Sean sit down between Austin and Drew and then watched them touch and fondle the embarrassed Sean...I was hooked. lol I wanted to see the whole scene.

With my birthday coming up soon it was the perfect excuse to treat myself to my first ever gay pay site. I joined the first month thinking that would be it. I'd stay a month and then leave. So for the first 2 weeks I was like a little kid in a candy store trying to watch as many scenes as quickly as possible. lol Then I liked the scenes so much that I "accidentally" let my subscription recur for another month. I told myself that I really couldn't remember the actual day I signed up and I didn't know how many days prior to the renewal date that I would have to cancel. So I ended up here another month.

I noticed that they were promoting a new upcoming feature called the Broke Straight Boys forum. I was mildly intrigued but not terribly so. I worried about what kind of people might be chatting together on a porn site. For some reason I did sign into the forum. Maybe it was because Mark promised he would mail out a free Broke Straight Boys DVD to those who signed up for the forum and requested one. haha After signing up I read a few threads but didn't comment. The site was all about the videos for me. Back then we only got one update per week. Midnight Saturday morning on Friday nights.

I didn't go back on the forum for at least another month. But I was getting email updates on the threads I had visited. So I was reading some of the updates on threads from my email account. lol I even got my first Broke Straight Boys friend request from some guy named MarkyMark routed to my email. I purposely didn't go into the forum to accept the friend request because I didn't know if he was a perv or not. lmao I didn't want to have him listed as a friend on my profile page and then go in there some day to find out from others that he was some awful person...and now I had publicly associated myself with him. haha The things that go through our minds with new technologies and the unknown...

Then of course I did start joining into the conversations and I started meeting some wonderful people who without the internet I would never have met or known existed. People like MarkyMark, Slim, Jayman, Mikeyank, Parisnoyd, Vicekid, Gremlin and many other wonderful people. Some over the years who've joined us only briefly but still left a very positive impression. After about 4 months or so I had caught up on the video archives and then looked forward to the new releases. With updates only once a week, the bonus sites and the forum became another great perk of membership. The bonus site College Boy Physicals was still in its prime back then. Of course the forum has allowed me (and us) to meet the staff of the site as well as so many wonderful models. The forum itself quickly became the favorite part of the site for many of us...and for obvious reasons. I still chuckle at the thought that back in 2008 I planned on being here for only a month. haha

The quality of the clip that brought me here probably does not stand up to the test of time by today's standards. It only ended up with a 3+ rating. But I was still impressed with it in 2008. And I still love Sean, Shawn. lol He has some very good older scenes on College Boy Physicals also.

Hi Vicekid and Tampa. You make me feel like one of the three "Ancient Mariners" of the forum, (No Peter. I am not referring to Seattle's baseball team lol). It's like my dear friend Ms. Kianna, (someone who I miss more than any of the others on the forum) said, "I came for the porn and I stayed for the forum".

I too found Broke Straight Boys through the free tube sites and when I found the first video listed in the archives, (Alex & Chris), I kept watching the parts shown over and over and I finally decided I needed to subscribe to see the whole video. And I joined the forum almost immediately, but I remained silent for a bit reading the posts of the aforementioned forumites in Tampa's original post. And the rest is history.

It's interesting that Tampa, Mike and my own profile state that our join date was oct 2008. I cannot honestly remember the exact day that I joined, but the aforementioned members were already here. There has been a later of water and drama that has flowed under the bridge since those days, both on the forum and behind the camera.

for years I was a member of a military oriented gay site. one of its features was a large collection of aebn feeds. in one of those videos I found a guy I fell in lust with. a month or two after seeing him, I decided to find this guy. of course, the video had rotated out. I had to search using keywords. good positioning brought me to Broke Straight Boys Broke Straight Boys seem to offer a lot and I joined for a month. I found alex, chris, Austin, drew, and sean. I soon learned Broke Straight Boys was not the site of my dream boy. I remained a member of Broke Straight Boys, first because of mark and then the forum and my friends. bts and pride events adds something.
Broke Straight Boys is the best mistake I ever made.
