I too miss seeing Tyler. I've always thought of him as cute, sexy, hot, and seems to be an all around good guy. He strikes me as someone I'd like to know, and be friends with. He's smart, funny, and as mentioned before, easy on the eyes.

Being a curious kind of guy, I always check out the newest upcoming update, when a new one is released, and I see that on January 3, 2011, we have what is pictured and described as, "Everyone's favorite Tyler is joined by one of the Broke Straight Boys originals - Aiden!"

Is this a forgotten episode that was rattling around in Mark's bin of un shown scenes? Or much like at Yankee Stadium each summer, is this the equivalent of a Broke Straight Boys "Old Timer's Game"?

In any case, I'm glad to see that Tyler will get naked and perform for us on the futon, at least one more time.

Broke Straight Boys for me is Tyler Evans Well, it's the forum and the episodes too, but the artist formerly known as Tyler has been the nucleus of the whole gestalt for me and for a lot of other people too. Every single scene has been a success or failure in relation to the Tyler scale.

He started off adorably non-conformist and breathtakingly irreverent in some of those early shoots. Then he seemed to evolve into a more complex, thornier, and more difficult type: he turned out, in the BTS interview, to suffer all the other models ungladly; he was dismissive of one guy he had to do a scene with and ended up being short tempered with him when he didn't get it on.

That darker side only made him more real. He's lived a sort of "Truman Show" on Broke Straight Boys, scrutinized by several dozen obsessive fans each of whom has invented his own version of the boy we've seen grow up in, and out of, porn acting.

Like mikeyank, I'd really like for the Tyler Evans thread suddenly to blink back into life: his parting present, a shout out to all the people on this forum who love him as much as I do.

David, not to be too dramatic about it, but this is like the governor sending word to the penitentiary that he's opting for a stay of execution after all, just as you're trying to decide whether you need to brush your teeth after your Last Meal.

Two huge favors:

a) Could we know the timeline on this last Tyler update (i.e. where does it fit into his "body of work")? and b) which episode was the last time he was actually filmed on the futon?

Slimmie, that post is probably the most insightful one I've read about Tyler that mirrors my thoughts. Initially he was one of the three or four models who motivated me to buy into a Broke Straight Boys membership. (I haven't watched all the episodes because some of the models just don't appeal to me visually, and I find uninspired/non-intimate, repetitive actions in porn to be generally boring...) I was drawn by Tyler's innocence, by David's "manipulations" at getting this young man to try different things, and by Tyler's "Phil-like" willingness to attempt gay activity because he wasn't afraid it would convert him to gayness "to infinity and beyond"

There were episodes of Tyler when his attitude was a detraction for me. I tended to stop watching him, until I saw reversions back to the sweet Tyler I initially saw. I do believe he is still a wonderful young man, but this business, like life, can harden even the most innocent. I like the parts of Tyler that I believe are still part of his core, so it disappoints me when I read disparaging comments from people when he no longer fulfills their fantasy image of him. I think the same of any negative comments about various models who have provided entertainment value. People like you, joninliverton and various other posters are all realistic about the nature of this business, so you're logical (!) in your outlook that it may only be wishful thinking to have intimate kissing or passion between guys that will never develop that kind of relationship.

Here's hoping that everyone in the coming year will enjoy their fantasies, continue to nurture their relationships (including on this site!), and be successful in accomplishing those things in life that give them a sense of satisfaction, joy, and happiness.
