Mikeyank alive and well

I got a voicemail from mikey last night. He said his computer is broken and will therefore be absent from Broke Straight Boys until it is fixed. I haven't talked with him yet so I don't know any of the details, but knowing his love for Broke Straight Boys and especially the forum, we can be assured he will see to getting the computer problem resolved asap.

As many of us know he has been on holiday in Florida for the past ten days which he said was most enjoyable. I'll keep the forum informed as I learn any further information.

(He didn't ask me to post this, but I took it upon myself to do so, given he is our most prolific poster and I just wanted to let the family know he is okay.)

I just talked too Mike. He is a unhappy Man. He has to send his computer back to Texas. And it is brand new, So it maybe two weeks
or so till he is back on the Fourm. He is going through some heavy withdralls. He really Loves the Fourm..
And sends his Love to everyone. He is a strong Man. So he will make it through. lol But he will really miss You All. xo

Glad to know that he is ok.......while we are discussing MIA's, not sure if its me or what but it seems we have not heard from Tyler36 in a while. I know I have been kind of hit and miss with Broke Straight Boys the last couple of weeks, but was kind of concerned about Tyler36. Anyone know if he is ok as well?

But I was considering more how it would affect ME from the withdrawals.

Mikey, it's good to see you here again, though somehow I heard that you were gone because of computer problems so I wasn't worried. As far as Tyler36 goes, the last I knew he was done with Broke Straight Boys, mainly because of a lot of nasty stuff that happened here while I was on my hiatus from the site. I can certainly sympathize with him. That makes three people I know that have either left the forum or Broke Straight Boys altogether because of what gets said on this forum. That's a shame. When I returned, I told myself that I would only post short, upbeat comments and when I did I would not read any other comments.

Of course, with the thread about Ronan Kennedy that changed, but that was definitely an extenuating circumstance. I did fuck up when I commented on this last scene with Danny and Jason, but I guess old habits die hard. Of course, I did the same thing by reading the comments here but I figured I might as well answer the query about Tyler36.

Thanks for your nice words about me oldfart as I indeed was only on vacation and then my computer died, and I am now temporarily using an ipad with a keyboard. But as far as the forum having "nasty stuff" happening while you were away, I respectfully disagree. I've been on this forum since it's inception back in 2008, and we've had rough times including with some folks in the last few years, but overall, I think we have largely a cool group of mostly respectful folks who like to have fun here.

During the Ronan Kennedy posting the other day, a very nice young man named Dan posted and I always remember him calling this site and this forum his "fun place", and that's how I feel. To me the porn and the models are not something for any of us to take too seriously. We all have enough real stress in our lives, with health, financial, family and other issues to deal with. This site and this forum are kind of the "candy store" of the internet for me, nothing to be taken terribly seriously.

And yes, I'm sure that with my gazillion posts here that I've offended someone on occasion, just as I've been offended at times by other's peoples posts. But during my going on ten years on the forum, I am proud how we "self police" this forum without the need of a moderator, and that Mark and his staff largely let us speak about what we like without censorship, and that is good.

Over-all I like this forum and the people who post here.

You know, I was just posting what happened to Tyler36. I have no idea what it was since I wasn't here. We all deal with things differently so that's on them. Hopefully, when I post it will be short and sweet, that's all.

I have to second what Mikeyank said above. I don’t remember any big deal. The forum didn’t go anywhere, it’s all there to look back at. I’m always railing about too many gay twinks and not any straight boys on Broke Straight Boys and others are saying we like our gay twinks. So what? it’s all our own opinion. If we don’t like something, that’s life. Put on your big boy pants and go on.
