as for his scars, they look like accidents (i'm going to say related to skateboarding). they are too irregular (for the most part) to be self harm, plus self harmers tend to use places you cannot see.

Interesting that a few posters think Ken was posing and performing. I don't presume that was actually the case. Ashton is a poser who loves the limelight and being the focal point of the camera.
