I want to wish my dear friend, mikey, a most happy birthday. He is a terrific man and kind human being.

I joined the site in April 2011. First porn site ever. Before this it was mags, vhs tapes and dvds. I didn't know anything about forums or the like so I spent a little more than a month reading and observing. Then I decided to join up. Being a computer luddite I was having trouble with something on the forum and put out a call for help. Mikey came to my rescue and he has been schooling me ever since. In the far reaches of my mind, I never imagined that I would become friends with someone on a porn site. But with mikey I didn't just get a friend; we are really fast friends. We share much in common both porn-wise and in the real world.

As I work through my 82nd year, I feel blessed to have such a dear friend and I salute him on this special day and wish him many, many more birthdays to come.

I remember a few years back we bonded over our love for "My Tank" at first just covering over each others posts lololol, then PM'ing each other and finally I said just give me a call. I know you were reluctant at first, but after our first convo we were automatically friends! This included my trip to NYC to visit my dear friend in person and we're still friends after that.... I too, like Stowe never envisioned anything more than hot straight boys and boners when I stumbled upon Broke Straight Boys in 2008, doing an internet search for straight guys and gay porn. And yes, I am eternally grateful to Mark for instituting this forum a few months after I became a member. I was as shocked as anyone that a porn site could lead to real friendships that will last the rest of my life.

I’ve never been a deeply religious person, but the older I get, the more I realize that too many good things have happened to me for it all to be just coincidence, and this forum and the real friendships I’ve made here are one of those, “more than coincidences”.

Thank you to those who’ve wished me Happy Birthday today, and thanks to all the others who I’ve met over the last fifteen years who’ve enriched my life in so many ways. And in closing I once again will quote one of my earliest really close friends here, Ms.K who said, “I came for the porn and I stayed for the forum”. That’s me tenfold. Thank you all. :001_smile:

Thanks for the good wishes and for asking Chac. Yes, I am meeting family and friends in Manhattan later this afternoon. They are taking me to an Off Broadway show called, “Rock and Roll Man”, about the first rock and roll disc jockey, Alan Freed in Cleveland, who actually coined the term, “rock and roll”. It is a musicial so I’m expecting some great performances. Then we are eating in a nearby Italian restaurant. I’m looking forward to it. I will report back later with a review of the show and dinner. :biggrin:
 
Holy fucking crap! Jay. You are incredible to do that for me. I mentioned I’m going to a show and dinner later, but those two videos absolutely made my day and perhaps my year. Darron, what a thrill and honor that would be to take you on a “Mikeyank Reality Tour” of New York City. And Chris, you are a beautiful sweet guy and I am a big fan.

Jay, you are a super special friend. That was an amazing gift to me. Absolutely amazing. 😍
