Jimmy and Mick

Mark mentioned a long time ago that he had bought the naming rights to a site for gay guys trying to do straight porn. He never followed up on the theme though because he said something like, "Who would pay to watch it?" LOL

I know I would! Especially, Tampa, if you were to become their new cover boy! Jimmy covers for Broke Straight Boys 2.0, and Tampa covers for BGB 1.0!

And we can call the entire lineup MICK AT NIGHT!

Quelle surprise ... so predictable ... like shootin' fish in a barrel ...

Please refer to the "Corey Thank you!" thread that I just bumped up.

You know they say truth is stranger than fiction. haha

The only time I get annoyed and frustrated, is when the supposed straight guy starts loving cock as much as his co-stars, yet continues to try and play the straight card (refusing to kiss, refusing to bottom, etc.)

I read this as suggesting the other players on this site are just acting. I thought most of the guys on here define themselves as straight? Is that not true? This stuff about refusing to kiss, refusing to bottom, etc. are the barriers guys put up to keep from crossing over that imaginary line which creates the LABEL of gay. What I find interesting about this site is who has what barriers and how they manage to fall away. The truly interesting scenes from my perspective are the ones where there is a change, but the guys seem to be accepting (perhaps grudgingly) that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the change.

I DO NOT expect ANYONE to start bottoming, to me once a guy starts getting fucked he's gay. Plain and simple, regardless of what he says verbally and regardless how he attempts to portray himself. The fantasy of him being straight is completely gone.

What about him being bisexual? What about him DISCOVERING that he might be bisexual? Or maybe even finding out that he just likes the feeling of having his prostate stimulated? Many straight guys admit to allowing their girlfriends to use a toy on them.

I think many straight, bisexual, and gay guys might have serious problems with your statement. Are we now *defining* gay as getting fucked? I think many guys would say Jimmy is gay just for being on here--he wouldn't even have to do anything. In the end, these labels don't matter as they are entirely subjective. I think THAT is the real strength of this site--challenging these perceptions of what "gay" means in the eyes of the players. To me, Jimmy's "straight-guy-act-that-isn't-an-act" is just an unwelcome distraction that was once interesting from the standpoint of "imagine where this might lead," but it has gotten very old now.

It wouldn't bother me so much if he weren't showing up so much. The guy has been on here a gazillion times, and he breaks out into a cold sweat at the thought of sucking a cock? I'm surprised he can even touch another guy without delivering a brutal punch to the face just to make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN we know he isn't gay.

Jimmy is one of the very few guys on Broke Straight Boys who hates sucking cock, and it's not just an act....BUT, he did it, and he tried his best to do a good job and he tried to maintain his sense of humor.

I guess I really wish I could identify the humor, attempted or otherwise. If suggesting that Mick didn't do a good job blowing him was his "humor" coming out, then I just don't get it. I mean, Bobby struck me as just as adamant about not seeming "gay" as Jimmy has, but Bobby could at least show pleasant surprise and satisfaction at the blowjob he got from Mick.

I feel that Jimmy's performance was the best he could give us, and I dare ANYONE who is gay to try as hard with a girl as Jimmy did with Mick.

Sigh. This fixation on the label of "gay" and what that MUST mean is really disheartening.

Is the gay guy getting paid as much as Jimmy did? I'm sure you'll be able to find some takers. They may even just say they are gay to get the money.

Are you kidding me? Did you actually watch the scene?

Maybe you're Jimmy's PR man.

:confused1: I am not kidding you, I think Jimmy did a great job. I know I wasn't any better sucking my second cock.

KJNoble, I agree that Jimmy and Mick did great scene. However, I must admit that I deep throated starting with my first cock. Guess some guys are born with cetain skills. lol

Hi Navelluver, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea for me to put a disclaimer at the end of each post I send on here that says "The opinions expressed by me are mine only, and do not necessarily reflect those of anyone else."

I do agree that I should have specified "gay or bi", when discussing my opinion of a model or actor once he starts bottoming, enjoying cock, etc. Of course just because I form the opinion of a character in these scenes certainly does not make it so.

These guys are all playing a role, and they all present to camera a certain persona, and some of us (like myself) begin to form an opinion of them that grows with each interaction. I think many of the things they do or don't do as the character they're playing help form our opinions of who the guy is actually playing that role. When Diesal attempted to bottom a long time ago, it was obvious he was not liking it. His disliking the role of a bottom was plain to see, and the man who plays Diesal most likely never gets fucked in real life. Thus, his persona fits his character in my opinion. I think Bobby, in the more recent scenes, enjoyed getting fucked. He was into it, and seemed to be enjoying himself. Regardless of what Bobby says on camera, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Bobby engages in gay sex, including bottoming, when not on camera, and in my opinion Bobby is gay, or bi. Of course we'll never know for sure, and it doesn't matter. The point is, from my perspective, as much as I like Bobby and love to watch him in scenes, I completely ignore and disregard it mentally when he talks about being straight...I simply don't buy it. Bobby is playing a role, for us to hopefully enjoy. But the reality is that Bobby is currently a gay porn actor who is "versatile". And just for the record, I love Bobby's scenes and think he's hotter than hell, and I also think he does a fantastic job in every one of his scenes.

My opinion of Jimmy is that he is straight, I'm guessing off camera just as when he's on camera. I like that persona. I like Jimmy being straight, and I like watching him interact with another guy sexually. At first I thought he was rough around the edges, even downright rude and offensive. But in time he has grown on me, and he has made efforts to improve his performances.

In my view Jimmy is the only guy of the current models who have been in more than 1 action scene who I can still believe is "straight", because of his behaviour, and complete lack of enjoying himself when attempting to suck cock. If he started visibly liking it, I would then begin disregarding him if he continued talking about being straight, not liking sex with guys, etc. Just because someone says something -- especially when they're portraying a role -- in no way means it's actually true.

If Jimmy continued doing more and more, sucking cock more (and appearing to start tolerating it better, maybe even enjoying it), and then getting fucked, from my perspective I would no longer fall for his "I'm straight" act.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Realistically speaking, it's not what you do that defines your sexual orientation. Instead, it's what turns you on in my opinion. But, as humans, we oftentimes [and sometimes incorrectly] perceive a person's actions as the motives behind their true thoughts hence the term "actions speak louder than words".

My intent was certainly not to offend, or claim that I am an expert on any of these subjects or topics. I was just characterising in words, my opinions on them.

Abe, your words are well-taken and I agree with you...mostly. But I gotta ask if you actually think Rob Ryder is gay or bi? For me, I take him at his word that he is str8, esp after having watched his vids. Of course, as you stated, this is all subjective, and a matter of perception, not necessarily the reality. As for Diesal, he said one time that he had a buddy back home that he sometimes "plays" with, so gay sex was not a new concept for him. Just because he didn't enjoy the one time bottoming, does that mean he's str8? I'm just saying that things aren't as black & white as you may think when it comes to being able to perform sexually with another guy for money and being str8.

Again, everything I say is my own opinion only, and I’m the first to admit that opinion can be 100% wrong at any given time.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

But for anyone to come onto a forum and publicly claim they are straight, yet on other unrelated websites they are seen kissing, sucking cock, getting fucked many times over and appearing not to be hating it are either lying, in denial, or in the wrong kind of acting and deserve an academy award.

Of course most of us don’t know the man who plays the role of Rob Ryder personally, but I think it’s a dis-service to customers and viewers to come on another site’s forum and claim you’re straight while you portray the complete opposite in your scenes.

I’m surprised when actors do that, because I would think the goal would be to sell memberships, not turn people off to the extent they don’t want to sign up. Sometimes you have to consider your audience, and present yourself in a certain way publicly and professionally otherwise you run the risk of destroying your own credibility, and persona.

I guess it would be the same thing as if Jimmy came into the forum, and told us “Actually guys, in real life I am gay and I love to bottom. I’m just playing the straight guy act for my scenes.” Wouldn’t that probably turn some of his current fans off? In my opinion, it would.

Of course I have no clue what really goes on inside someone’s mind anymore than anyone else does. But if you make the conscious decision to get into doing gay porn and primarily bottoming, you establish a perception that you’re gay or bi in real life regardless of what you say when the camera isn’t running. If you try to say otherwise, some of your public audience (and likely some who know you privately) aren’t going to believe your words anymore than they will believe they can spend a $3 bill.

I agree that things aren’t as black and white as we may think, but again, I ask you: In your private opinion, would you believe I am 100% gay if I’m seen on various straight porn sites performing in scene after scene fucking nothing but hot girls? Even if I come in here and tell you all I’m gay, my repeated scenes fucking girls and behavior on camera suggest I am less than 100% strictly gay in my private life. In some peoples’ minds I would probably be perceived as being more bi than my words of “not liking girls sexually” proclaim. And wouldn’t it probably be somewhat of a turnoff and downright annoying if I got on the forums on the straight pornsites I star in, and tell the members there “By the way guys, in reality I’m gay. I only fuck women for a living but frankly while it feels good when they give me a good blow job, having sex with women does nothing for me.”

If memory serves, Jimmy has been 100% consistent in his public behavior both in front of the camera, as well as on the road and in the forum. I’m not doubtful of Jimmy’s straightness, because he’s always consistent and his persona is totally believable to me.

I was never once doubtful of Diesal’s persona at any time. Diesal was always 100% consistent as well, he started out as a believable Broke Straight Boys, and eventually transitioned to being a very believable bi-sexual (or at least bi curious) guy.

If Nelson would have participated in the forum after getting fucked hard in numerous Broke Straight Boys 1.0 scenes, and then came into the forum here and told us “I’m straight in real life, but please join my gay website I star in for the special low price of $14.87 per month!” I would have laughed my ass off and been turned off from joining that website out of principal and wouldn’t have thought very highly of Nelson.

Again, sometimes you need to consider your audience. Regardless of what your sexual orientation may or may not be, sometimes you have to consider how others may perceive you when you start talking about your own personal private life if it clashes with your public persona…especially if you’re trying to sell memberships to another paysite.

Again, I have to agree with your interpretation of this genre. When I was reading your reply, I thought about someone everyone seems to hate, and that is Cody Cummings. Those who know of him have very strong feelings because he is a str8 guy who lets guys suck and rim him but he won't reciprocate in any way. When he got his site, he stated he was bi. Now, that g4p models have become so prolific in gay porn, he feels comfortable in saying he is str8 and will NOT be going any farther. Needless to say, he is hated by many.

I get what you're saying and I have seen guys claim to be str8 on this site only to see them on a gay site doing a whole lot more. It does make you think. But I've said it before, all of this makes my head hurt. I still have not come to any firm conclusions which is why I simply take these guys at their word. And quite frankly, it really doesn't concern me who they have sex with off-camera. As long as they put in a good performance, who cares?

LOL thank you Stimpy, unfortunately I usually end up having to take the long way around, or do what in aviation terms is referred to as a "go around", but usually I finally manage to get the bird landed...and sometimes even without skidding off the end of the runway. :tongue_smilie:

As usual Abe, I agree with much of what you have to say. I noticed in Bobby's very first scene his ass opening and also thought that he is not a virgin to ass play and gay sex. I also think that he is the most classically beautiful of all the models on Broke Straight Boys-2, and always enjoy looking at him, and I love his boyish charm, and sense of humor too. I also agree that Jimmy is the only model that I would consider as close to straight, as any guy is who appears on this site.

Hi Abe,

I appreciate your willingness to continue discussing this. I'm not trying to be difficult here, though I'm sure many probably see it that way. I totally understand what you are saying about integrity in the persona portrayed while performing and one's personal life. Again, though, I would just point out that many people would say Jimmy *is* gay, without any doubt, just for appearing on this site. For many, a guy having *any* kind of intimate interaction with another guy constitutes them "being gay." As a result, one of my main points is that if one were to assume that there is some "ultimate truth" to the situation, perhaps that truth is to be found elsewhere--as in the label of "gay" is too subjective and shouldn't be pinned to some specific act (like enjoying anal stimulation, regardless of the gender of the "giver") because sexual practice is as varied as the people who engage in it. And, again, what interests me about this site is seeing how the participants change over time. Not to take away from the purity of the porn, but to me this site is an incredibly fascinating study in human psychology--I really wish the people behind the camera were a bit smarter about this and asked more probing, interesting questions if they really insist on talking during the shoots.

I have to take exception with some of the comments you made, though. You spoke of Diesal's bottoming scene, how much he hated it, and how clear it was that he hated it. Unless there were some other comments made by Diesal later, I didn't see any evidence that he hated it. In fact, I recall very clearly that he said it was not what he expected and "in a good way." That's hardly what someone would say if they hated an experience. It seemed to me that his senses were just flooded by the stimulation and he couldn't quite handle it at some point, but he got fucked for quite some time, and didn't make it seem (to me, at least) that he was hating the experience at all. I brought up in another thread how I really wanted to see Diesal bottom again--because of my interest in seeing how the participants change over time--and I caught HOLY HELL for the suggestion. People were making really irrational comments like "Diesal is only a top!" Well, says who? He's already bottomed. That can't be undone. "Top" is just a label, just as "gay" is just a label.

You also stated "But the reality is that Bobby is currently a gay porn actor who is 'versatile.'" Why? Is Bobby on other sites and identifying himself as gay? If you're saying Bobby is gay simply because he has gotten fucked and seems to be enjoying it, then that isn't "THE reality." That's simply your interpretation of the reality. It's much more realistic to me to assume that Bobby, who would have never considered anal stimulation before as a valid sexual act, has now discovered that anal stimulation is pleasurable, even if delivered by another guy. That doesn't make him gay, though, it just means he likes feeling good. No labels. Now, if he decided to buy a bungalow in Provincetown with Rocco and commit to a lifelong relationship with him, that could reasonably be grounds for declaring him gay. I would hope, though, that HE would identify HIMSELF as gay long before that happened, else the relationship would likely not last long.

I don't know if the points I'm trying to make are getting across. There are several people who seem to be in your camp on this, but I'm not convinced that what I'm saying is devoid of merit. This site has a unique opportunity to challenge stereotypes and labels. It throws a monkeywrench into the works to pigeonhole any of the performers in such a way that they aren't even allowed to undergo a personal transformation through this experience. It's not like Jimmy is the only "straight" guy in the world. Even if he decided to become a drag queen, there will be others to come along, so why insist on holding him back, or allowing himself to hold back?

A parting shot to consider: I'm certain that you would not deny that this is a "gay-for-pay" site, and the participants are well aware of that going in. Now, if, as you say, being "gay" means getting fucked, then should it not be MANDATORY that every model get fucked at least once, if not a few times?

Hi Navelluver, I think for me to expand on my opinion further would be irrelevant at this point. I didn't mean to go into such a diatribe in this particular thread and I would like to apologize to you, Rob Ryder, and everyone else for being extremely rude, derogatory, and out of line. It was uncalled for and offensive of me to be so brutally honest in stating my opinions and I am respectfully stepping away from this topic.

i enjoy reading the comments everyone has made in the thread.
personally, i would choose different parts from each of them to agree with.
this scene with jimmy and mick, when viewed without the history and drama involving the models, was very good. :Banane29:

What an interesting forum this is. I am glad to see such a large group of members can show their disapproval of Jimmy performance with out being attacked by the few in his fan club.
1st of all if Jimmy is the face of BSB2, what a sad day for BSB2. If a few members defence of your poor performances elivates you to the face of the site then it puts Mark in pretty low standards. It seems I missed the vote but by what I read their is a lot more members tired of him then love him. I guess they did not get a vote either.
Secondly when even his fan club defends his performance as " it was the best he could give us " says more about his fan club. I agree with them that he did a good job but even after a dozen appearances that that is the best he can give us, he is out of his element. After a dozen appearances we expect more then a GOOD job.

i don't know who votes in the ratings, but somehow this scene got a 4.3 rating.
not a bad rating for a scene with model with no fan base.
when i started this thread it was to comment on this scene, but somehow the thread became about what some members think of the sexuality of the models and who is the more disliked among the models.
i fear the haters are in charge!
when 12 clowns are in a ring and one sane person jumps in the ring, people do not see 12 clowns and 1 sane person, only 13 clowns.
got to love free speech.
just my opinion!
