Jake Tipton in retrospect

Well in the interest of complete disclosure, I am a friend of Austin. I have known him since he was in the Marines and he is a really wonderful human being. He is a bit more mature than some of the other guys who have appeared here [although not as mature as some might think] but he is witty, a good actor and has a nice body. I knew he was trying to get back in the business after having been out for a while - some bad blood between him and former employer who perhaps expected a level of service Austin was not going to provide.

This summer when I needed to pack up my mother's house and move her to my sisters house, Austin was right there giving me a lot of compassion, moral support and even some physical support when he could do so given his schedule. People always comment about how they want a straight model who is willing to perform. Well as I said, I do know Austin quite well and I can attest to the fact that in his personal life he is 100% straight but without any hangups about gay folks at all. That said this guy is willing to do what it takes to please his gay fans. In fact when I was getting ready to leave and return to San Pancho he came by and we went to dinner at a very popular seafood place near my mother's house. When we left to go out separate ways he grabbed me in an embrace and planted a big sloppy one right on my lips. At least three or four old Baptist church ladies had strokes right there in front of us.

He sounds like a wonderful man. A former Marine too! Very nice. While he doesn't look as young as our typical models here, I am now very much looking forward to the chance to meet him. Getting the opportunity to get to know the models beyond two-dimensional stick figures on our screens is something that Broke Straight Boys has always excelled at. You (and a few others in here) have helped to accelerate that process considerably for us. As much as Austin has been a good friend to you, I dare say you've been a good friend to him also.

I was excited that maybe, just maybe, this was the Austin Andrews who used to be the Austin in AustinZane. Now I know it is not but he's a real straight guy which is good to know. Mike it was the lying that got to me also. Back in BSB1 we met Shane Willis and he and David were upfront that he was a professional. One of my favorite scenes was with Shane and Logan (still in the top 5 Broke Straight Boys models in my book)!!

I agree Johnny. Based on Juanjo's personal experience and another1 having interacted with Austin on webcams, he does sound like a real nice guy. I'm just not sure he is the type of model I am interested in watching performing in a porn scene on Broke Straight Boys, but that's just me, I guess.

I understand that issue entirely mikeyank. Austin may or may not be your "cup of tea" as far as a model here. But I did want to speak up about a person I consider a really decent human being in real life not to mention an actual straight guy doing gay sex for cash.

the webcam shows were pretty revealing. we talked about cars, sports, girls, favorite positions to you name it. you learn a lot about a person after spending one hour a week, for several weeks with them. not like watching them in an edited video. you develop favorites and request to see them for more weeks. the site paid the models to do the webcam shows and used the shows to highlight and promote the models for upcoming scenes and dvds. one rule, you have to cum before you go.
it was be like having paul for an hour on Wednesdays and Jason on Mondays. just 20 or 30 friends enjoying them every week.

For the record, I don't blame you personally, for Jake's departure. There were a whole LOT of people who felt that, because he wasn't a "gay virgin" - he had to go. That makes me sad, because - at least in the days of Broke Straight Boys 1 and 2 - a great many of the models who people were swooning over as "completely straight" had already appeared on other gay sites. . . they just didn't get CAUGHT.

Jake DID get caught, however, and got fired because of it, and I regretted the loss because he was cute, charming, and (in my book, anyway) a fine on-screen performer. The thing I find most ironic is, that, I bet if you were to tie Jake's penis to a plethysmograph, and watch to see how much it JUMPED, when he saw (or had to KISS) a naked GUY - he was likely one of the straighter guys who appeared on here, in recent times. (That is just my intuition, and I might be wrong. . . but I NEVER IMAGINED that Jake was a gay guy, whom one could actually DATE.) Jake always struck me very much like some straight guys I know on CB and cam4, who are doing it ALL to raise money for their girlfriends, wives, and children.

Thank you for accepting my apology, Ambi. I offered it to you and to Jon on this and another forum. It wasn't that long ago that the reveal of Jake's lying to management about his prior experience with gay for pay work became an issue, and after watching what has happened on this site in the interim, I have a whole different perspective on the current state of this genre of porn.

I still enjoyed the "good old days" of BSB1 the best, but I now understand that the free "tube" sites, the cam sites and the proliferation of social media have made the recent past into just that "the past". I am seeing the reality of what Broke Straight Boys has become, and it's not through management's choice, but if they want to survive in today's marketplace, they have to hire the available talent, and if I want to remain a member, which I do, I have to accept that reality, and while I'm not pleased about, I do accept it.
