Admittedly, I have not been a huge Ian Dempsey follower so, I was able to view this interview objectively. I could have read more into it, but I choose not and will not.

I liked that Ian represents the "exception" to the "presumed" rule of models who get into this industry for the wrong reasons, or get caught up in the "unfavorable" aspects of the business.(as evident from his mothers' expressed concerns) Also, having been picked up by BluMedia, and having a positive experience, indicated to me, there are some companies out there that are above board, treating models as beings not chattel (so to speak). For a person so young, I thought he was articulate and mature in his presentation.

Perhaps, these types of interviews can be incorporated somehow into the models' profile page going forward?

Well said betudidntknow. I thought interview was very honest and down to earth. Kudo's for Ian and he is somewhat of a favorite(can not repalce Jason, Blake or Paul)

Ian has come along way during his time here at Broke Straight Boys He was not one of my favs at the beginning, but he has come to be one of mine as he has improved his work and toned up his body. Attitudinally, he had made some comments early on which I found bordering on homophobia, but I think it was his way, in a new situation, to establish his hetero bona fides. This interview, for me, has made Ian one of my top 5 favs on the site. He has a hot bod, does hot work, and has a great attitude. Ian, you can now count me among your biggest fans.

I think the interview was pretty much a kiss-ass interview, where Dempsey said what he thought everyone wanted to hear without much truth or merit. Dempsey is a pethetic actor before the camera, any camera. He got paid to 'perform' during his interview, and he did nothing less than give it his best manipulation. There was more ham in him than in the entire Hormel plant. Add to this I believe Dempsey's days on here are certainly numbered, or at least they should be. That does not, however, disencumber me from my perception he is an attractive lad, but he knows this as well and milks it to the bone. He and Canon are alike in this aspect, one way or an udder.

I'm not sure I agree that that's what he's doing, but if he were, isn't it basically his job to be confident in his sexuality and his appearance and show off both on camera?

Well Gardenboy, luckily I like all three...and as a girl, I have three holes to "entertain" them all; fuck I'm lucky!:scared: I appreciate the candor of Ian; I think he's a smart guy who doesn't mind learning as he goes. As well, I agree that Blake and Paul are awesome!

Perhaps, but it only adds to the overall deception factor this entire site is based upon. Besides, Dempsey was discussing his mum and how she felt about it. I take familial matters more to heart than to discuss them on-camera with fabrication as the foundation to my assertion. He did not exhibit respect for his mum, betraying her for thirty pieces of silver. Bad form.

Disagree. With kids these days, social media is just part of their lives. I don't think Ian betrayed anyone by speaking his mind...and I'm sure he wishes he'd get "30 pieces of silver" for his efforts; just sayin'.

Kids? Dempsey is a kid to you? And he is doing adult gay porn? You obviously did not comprehend what I said. Dempsey said what he was expected to say, what he expected the subscribers wanted to hear, what he was paid (the thirty pieces of silver was a colloquial analogy, not an exact payment) to say as part of his "job". His interview was more directed to lure subscribers as part of his "job" than it was an opportunity for him to be an honest MAN. And any mum who would allow her "kid" to do adult gay porn is hardly a loving mum at all.

I'm 50; all the guys on this site are "kids" to me. I also really think that Broke Straight Boys makes a real effort to have the models show their real personalities. Yes, some play to the camera, but they usually don't last. I think Ian is being honest in the interview and not just playing to the camera. And as far as "kids" having sex...I would tell them what I told my daughter years ago, "fuck a lot, it's fun!"

Well, I am 58, and I am able to fully determine the difference between who is a "kid" and who is a man. I am also a former actor who has the temerity to pretty much determine deceptive manipulation over realism. And I, too, was a parent (lost my only child at 8 months old from SIDS), and am also a godfather to a godson who was into adult gay porn as an adult actor and never a kid (at least until he was murdered.) I never condoned my godson to simply go out and "fuck a lot, it is fun", considering all the diseases and other dangers that are hidden. Sadly, one such danger cost him his life and me the joy of having a godson. But this is hardly about him as much as it is hardly about your daughter; and I am by no means a better - or worse - parent than you, nor will I "pretend" to be. This is about Dempsey. Being a porn actor is hardly kid-stuff; it was never meant to be. Dempsey is as much a phony on here as this site is for false advertising on having STRAIGHT BOYS on it. The deception lives; the lie is real.

First, I am so sorry for all of the suffering you have endured; I send you good thoughts.
About Ian, I still say he was being himself; a guy who knows how to have fun. As far as if these guys are straight or not, it's no biggie to me. I just like watching guys have sex together!
And, since we seem to be in conflict, I say lets just enjoy the porn...always a good place to be!

Ms. Beth, your words are wondrous. I thank you with absolute sincerity. I also think it is fun to agree to disagree. You are quite a woman!

On another thread, nobelegg, you chastised someone for mistakenly referring to you as 'nobleegg'. I'm so glad you did because you wouldn't want to misrepresent yourself!

You'll forgive me, I'm sure, if I speak candidly and say this post reeks of desperation to find something to be pissed about.

All is forgiven, Advocate; your candor is noted. And Stowe, you bring a good point to the table. However, please recognize the difference between 'chastise' and 'correct'. I suppose things are each individual perceives them. I regret I do not see things with the testosterone-coloured glasses most others do.

To Nobelegg:
I can sympathize with you over your godson. One of the real downsides of gteaching(besides the disrespect, community dissing and other things about teachers) is seeing fine young men and women loose their lives from poor judgement, stupidity and other sins of being human! And when they are gone, it does leave a blank spot on the heart! I can not now tell how I grieved over the loose of a few of my best students in the Viet nam fiasco nor the ones lost to drugs, murder(yes murder) and other vile things. Unfortunuatly it simply made me rather callous, always thinking cynically that well, what stupid behavior will you demonstrate after graduation! Still, it hurts to think of what these young minds might have become. Go with God, nobelegg, in the rememberance of you godson. I hope you remember only the good things!

Mr. Gardenboy:
Your sentiments have made their way from this page to the inmost part of my heart. To a vast degree, I blame myself for Pup's being murdered; I have ever since questioned myself as to what, if anything, different in a positive aspect I could have done to where he would not have been murdered. Finding his body beside a trash receptacle, reading the coroner's report where his anus had been compromised by a rather large-blade knife, his throat having been slit from the inside by this same knife (his own feces was in his throat), and his having been stabbed repeatedly - all these things I wear over my heart with a certain conviction I failed him most miserably. I was also the one who had to inform his parents. As a matter of weak restitution, even penance, I paid for his funeral and cremation, his cremains resting in his urn next to that of my beloved late wife's on a shelf above my bed, the latter waiting for me and my furchildren to be called Home. Mr. Gardenboy, I failed my Pup, so I failed life. Heaven has no place for me, so all the hell I am compelled to endure here on out is rightfully due me. I do not seek absolution from anyone, especially people on this site. But I shall never stop questioning the why's and wherefore's that wait to claim my soul. I thank you again, for I have yet another time deviated from the topic of this forum. God counts a woman's tears...but no learns the recipe for those a man sheds.

Either he is giving the company line, he really does not know himself or he is delusional . Those are the only explanations that seem real to me

You may be right on all three, Kelly.
