True dat James! haha
I'm not a drinker either. I will have an occasional glass of wine at someone's home for a dinner party. I may go out to a club once in a great while and have maybe a rum and Coke. Maybe a beer if they are at a good price the club. But I try to never drink more than one or two drinks if I know I have to drive. I'm also quite a lightweight with alcohol.
There are other times I can be out to a club or party (knowing I'll only be there for 1-3 hours) and I'll drink only soda the whole time. Because I know I have to drive home soon and I can't see paying for a taxi or an Uber just for the luxury of having a few alcoholic drinks that I really don't want anyway.
I'm pretty lucky because I don't really enjoy or need alcohol to have a good time. Alcoholism also runs very heavily in my extended family. So I'm quite fortunate that that skipped me over.
I'm the kind of guy who if you bring over a 6 pack to my house to my house for a gathering or something and you leave 2 cans...you can come back 6 months later and those same 2 cans will be in the far back in the fridge waiting for you. haha
But turning 21 is always a fun rite of passage in life. It comes with the right to legally drink if you choose to. And getting that added freedom of adulthood is nice to reach, whether you choose to exercise it much or not.
