How freakin cool is that!!!!!! I was invited to go to Washington DC pride Junr 8th-11th! this is going to be EPIC!

I love Washington! We were there one year for the 4th of July; spent it in the rooftop pool of the Holiday Inn, watching the fireworks and hearing the music. But it is an outstanding place any time of year. Don't forget to check out the Smithsonian (as much as you can, anyway). Also, you will love the food there; you can find anything! As well, take the Metro rail system, you meet such interesting and diverse people. Enjoy...I'll wait for you in Austin (remember you better bring Connor)!

Alright Blake! Glad you are becoming a regular on the tours so you get to see this diverse country. American is truly a melting pot. You will get to meet people from many cultures in DC. Hope they create BTS footage so we get to see it through your eyes. Thanks for being so generous with your time and keeping us up to date through your postings.

Btw guys, in this BTS longbeach, we did a lot of futage! Most of it was Jason and myself taking interview questions on what we did, doing, and will do! Very detailed and a lot of pictures!

Glad that you are getting to travel while you are young and sowing wild oats. Also glad that Broke Straight Boys trusts you to manage a booth and that you appear to be mjoving up the managamement ladder. Hope this is not affecting your schooling. AND DEFINATELY BE SURE TO GO TO THE SMITHSONIAN AND ALL THE OTHER MUSEUMS UNDER THAT UMBRELLA.

Freer Gallery of Art
Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden
National Zoo
Natural History Museum
Portrait Gallery
Postal Museum
Renwick Gallery
Sackler Gallery
Smithsonian Institution Building, (The Castle, starting point to purchase tickets)


Almost all of these are centrally located in the Capitol Mall area and can be accessed conveniently by using the "tram" (with an unlimited use, one-day low-cost ticket can be purchased taking you from one museum site to another with no worrying about parking.

I don't know how much free time you man have while in DC, but I spent one week touring the Smithsonian, visiting the White House and other adjoining monuments, going across the Potomac River to Arlington Cemetary, George Washington's home - Mount Vernon, and seeing the iconic WWII Memorial momument to Iwo Jima erected in Arlington, VA.

Investing your time researching what ALL there is to see in DC, will be time used wisely. Have a great time seeing the sights besides your main reason for going!

I simply loved my visit to Washington DC. Hope you will leave feeling the same way.

from past bts footage i would say there will be time for a pleasant walking tour of washington.
at the beginning of the east coast summer season passes are dear. you will enjoy washington when you find yourself one of the attractions worth seeing in june.
