I Wonder Why??

I for one don't think it's the current cast of models fault at all. I scored 5s on the last two scenes?? But for me personally a year and half ago I was on the forum a few times a day chatting away. Once I got my I-phone and learned how to use correctly lol I have access to facebook, twitter, email and massive amounts of games and apps I like all at my fingertips. I have Broke Straight Boys also but the screen is to small, so I have to log-in into my laptop. So the convenience of my phone and it's capabilities takes up a lot of time. Plus work, golf and somebody has to fuck and feed these boys!!!!! And lets face it, if you look at it like a soap opera you can go days and weeks or more and come back and Mikeyank and Johnny have just repeated themselves!! lololololol xoxoxoxoxoxo to you both....
Guess you told us. Again.

My feeling is that the same people not only post on everything but basically talk to each other. They say Hello to new people and welcome them, then they go on their way and chat with each other.
All we can do is welcome a new person and hope that they join in on the conversation. If it is only the same few of us who respond, then we can only talk to each other. It takes two to make a conversation, but I am always open to and hoping for new folks to join in.

Do my best to check out the Forum everyday yet I don't post everyday. One of the reasons is that I'm working very hard at saying nothing if I have nothing good to say. One of the reasons I don't have anything good to say is the growing number of fem bottoms and interesting guys in the Broke Straight Boys stable these days. Fems have every right to be here, I'm just not a fan. I started with Broke Straight Boys 1 and even the gay boys (Cousin Mickey comes to mind) were more butch. They were also more interesting guys. Mark has spent a hundred thousand dollars on casting but he got a bad deal. "Nice guys" aren't necessarily sexy or guys we want to watch. Think there are a lot of guys like me who don't bother watching and therefore commenting on certain scenes. Sha may be a great organizer but he is not the best producer/director of scenes. He's a nice guy just not the best choice to produce/direct scenes. The number of posts on the Forum after the Brandon/Kaden Alexander scene was higher than most of the previous scenes in a month. Why? Interesting models? Compare the current crop in the Broke Straight Boys stable to the days of Tyler White, Brandon B, Cage Kafig, Paul, Ronan Kennedy, Adam Baer, Johnny Forza, Denver Grand, Kodi, etc. Give the people someone interesting to watch and they'll comment.
I often agree with you Elyot, and in this case I am 100% in agreement with what you said. You seem to see things exactly as I do.

I guess I have to ad my 2 cents! LOL. This question is actually for you though Johnny: As you know, there are 5 of us who regularly correspond via e-mail back and forth, there are times when we don't all reply or there are days in which not much is exchanged at all. Would you equate that to Disinterest? or Life? We get busy.....

I read the forum almost daily (often times from one of my mobile devices) and I too, like Louis, have made some observations. I've noticed that there has been a slight change in the way people who've been posters for as long as I have been around express themselves. It could be a result of comments that have been posted by models or just members themselves but, there seems to be a gentler more sensitive tone to peoples' comments! I actually think that makes the forum more welcoming to those who might like to participate. Respectfully, those who don't feel what they have to contribute will be "productive", may choose just to say nothing? There's really nothing wrong with that either. The tone of the forum is created by the members who contribute. Some people may enjoy a more controversial atmosphere, and some may not? It is what it is...sometimes?

I've made a concerted effort to try not say anything negative about models who I do not find attractive, based on forum comments, so perhaps it is partly the old saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all!".

But as someone who has been here "forever", I can only compare forum activity today to what it was in the past, and there is a marked decline in activity, for whatever reason.

eloyt - Did you really mean lower? I went back over scenes to Feb. 7 and the Brandon/Kaden Alexander scene was the lowest, currently at 11 posts. Here's the breakdown:

Levi/Jason - 3/6 --20
Jesse/Gage Owens - 3/4 -- 21
Kaden Alexander/Chandler - 3/2 -- 12
Devon/Kyle - 2/28 -- 19
Brandon/Gage Owens - 2/26 -- 27
Jesse/David/Kyle - 2/24 -- 13
Abram/Chandler - 2/21 -- 14
Levi/Danny - 2/19 -- 19
Jesse/Kaden Alexander - 2/17 -- 13
Tanner/Tyler - 2/14 -- 30
Brandon/Kyle - 2/12 -- 20
Abram/Devon - 2/7 -- 27

Why is it necessary for everyone to always be expected to respond to everything that is posted? Some times you want to mingle and some times you don't. So what's the problem with that?

People have lives. That is a fact. I just wonder why the forum is so very dead? Has Broke Straight Boys run it's course?
Are we trying to hang on to something that is just not there anymore. Are we sick of each other?
Do we think it is all bullshit???
What do you think the reason is??? Curious in San Francisco....
Johnny started this thread approximately 26 hours ago, asking why the forum is so dead. My post now is #31 on this thread, so Johnny, you have accomplished getting us talking again, and for that I am grateful.

I most enjoyed the forum when the producer/directors chatted with us. . It's okay that the models post sometimes, but that gets dicey with personal opinion, critique, hurt feelings, etc. With the producer, we can take apart a scene, the good and bad, and get some behind the scene tidbits that would make you go back and re-watch a video from a different perspective. For example, Mark would tell us about the overall Broke Straight Boys brand with hints about future plans, Sha would give us some nuts and bolts about the video. Chuck will chime in with technical and customer service issues. The forum topics with the Broke Straight Boys staff was always a lot of fun to mix it up.

Excellent point nitefly and you have been around since the early years. I truly believe that the best example of the producer/director chatting with us was in the days of BSB1 when David was a frequent contributor to the forum. Broke Straight Boys seems to have lost it's personal touch and human element when it was almost three dimensional between the director, the models and the fans. In my opinion, we don't really feel the same connection that we once did with the models and with the production staff.

Not sure betu. Maybe you all just have more interesting lives than I do? Maybe it is two forums, Facebook, twitter talking all day at the beauty shop?
Maybe I feel I still don't write as well as everyone. Maybe just trying to keep my life going and together.
Maybe it's cleaning my house. Doing laundry like we all do.Cleaning the cat boxes.Going to the gym Just life.A friend every now and then.
But I do read everything. And am happy to be a part of the group. Maybe it is just time...Not having enough. And that I love TV and a little PORN every once in a while.
And I don't have a phone that writes. Just a simple phone like myself.
Another silly Johnny post. But you asked. xoxoxo

I like your post johnny!!!! Glad we chat with each other outside the forum....

one of the reasons I don't post much is my pc is down and typing on my phone is more challenging. not sure how to control the size of the type.
johnny, I believe that there is a longing for a time that will never return. change is sometimes good and sometimes bad, but always it is different!

and johnny, you write well enough to be understood and that is the reason for writing.

Actually, when is the last time a performer spoke to us? looking back, we did have atleast 3 new performers a month and now we are lucky to get one every 6 weeks. Hey now I feel a bit stupid. my membership fee has not decreased yet my value has...

Hey, Johnny, I have one of those smart phones that has the capability to write. However, I am too cheap to have that feature turned on. If I did, it would cost me an additional $30 per month.
