Thanks for posting this, louis. I had heard about this also going to be on the Nightly News. It is very heart warming and educational. I would be the first to admit that if any of my kids, who were born in 1967, 1969, 1972, had experienced this, at that time given who I was and what I knew and where society was, I would have fought it tooth and nails.

But fortunately, times have changed. And I am so happy that the LeMays are supporting their transgender son.

Great story and it will be very interesting if Jacob's story is continued in say 10 to 15 years time.

I was a little confused by the reference to "our Dmitri who came out to us recently" in Louis's post. Did he come out as gay or as transgender? I tried searching the forums but could not find anything recent from or about Dmitri. I always hoped he would come back to Broke Straight Boys as he is such a cutie.

I also thought that he was a beautiful young man, who I'd hope would do more Broke Straight Boys scenes, but he did come out as transgendered, and this is his "coming out" post.

Thanks for your reply, Mike. I must have missed the thread in September, which I just read and found fascinating on many levels. I totally agree with your description of Dimitri as a "beautiful young man." In my book, he was one of the best looking Broke Straight Boys ever had. It was clear that he wasn't very comfortable, however. I wish Dimitri/Anya all the best in the future.
