By the way Tampa, it was such fun last night when we came as close as possible to conversing with each other when you were posting and I was replying simultaneously! Of course you were always one post ahead, and I was always one reply behind. I would up going to bed an hour later than planned, but it was well worth it!

As Tampa well remembers, that is reminiscent of "back in the day", when the forum was in it's prime, those were the most fun times when several of us, perhaps even five or six were all posting on the forum at the same time and it was having a conversation in real time, with a group of friends. Memories like that are why I can never quit this forum. It was such fun.

Yes. That was so fun having convos in real time. Like last night. (I hope I didn't contribute to leaving you sleep deprived today KG.) We had one member way back when who started a thread in here that was pretty much an IM-ing format of anyone who happened to be online just shouting out for anybody to talk to, at any hour. Sometimes there would be only one or two word posts in replies to questions to each other. You just got on, posted once just to kind of announce your presence on the thread, and waited to see who might pop in to join you. Since he lived in Australia the time zone isssues got pretty quirky for those of us in the U.S. chatting with him in real time. lol His thread was called (I think), "Help! I'm bored." haha

But yes. There were groups of about 5-10 of us at a time who would gather in the early to late evening and go back and forth talking to each other (in real time) about what was on our minds about the site or our lives on that particular Tuesday or Friday or whatever. Good times! And the good news is that there's really nothing to prevent it from happening again. Just the number of people, the willingness and desire to engage in conversation, and finding out which people can most easily synch their schedules for being online at the same time is all it takes.

Was that Kody Boy or Baal? Or someone else? It was also cool that forumites were literally all over the world, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Holland. You know the names Tampa.
