Check it out on ESPN and perhaps both Joey and Matthew will be going for a rebound and Matthew will be pressing up against Joey's fine butt and get excited much as some of the wrestler's early on this thread did and finish things off in the after game celebration back in the dorms tonight after the game. lol

Big win for Duke over North Carolina Saturday night. Joey and Matthew did indeed have something to celebrate after that big win, and Mikeyank gave then a great suggestion on how to do it!

Given the caronavirus public health emergency, I guess that we could see this coming, but for the NCAA to initially decide to run the Men's Basketball Tournament with no fans and then turn around and totally cancel it along with ending all of the ongoing conference tournaments was a real shock. Especially to Duke fans as those hot young Blue Devils (both in basketball play and in looks) were poised to make a run which would have been fun to watch. My condolences to Mikeyank as we will both miss the Duke run that might have been.

The caronavirus will also impact major league baseball. Since large gatherings of people are now prohibited in New York City, the announcers on WFAN sports radio in NYC this afternoon were speculating as to what month the Yankees and Mets would start playing games in NYC: May, June or July if that. If late March and April are out, I would suggest that major league baseball play the games as scheduled, but have the teams play them in their empty Spring training parks. That way the players could play in better weather and the Yankee and Met fans could watch the games on television. On the other hand, unless or until there are enough testing kits to test all the players for caronavirus, there may not be baseball at all in 2020.

Thanks KG. I had actually planned my weekends and rescheduled two doctor's appointments on Fridays in March around being home for March Madness in expectation of Duke playing. But obviously people's health and well being comes before games. But it will be quiet with no basketball, baseball or any sports going on into the foreseeable immediate future.

Agreed, late March and early April is always one of my favorite sports times of the year with the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament coming to a conclusion just as the major leagues open the baseball season (sometimes simultaneously but always close together). What to do to fill this void? Perhaps to check out the Broke Straight Boys archives?
