For those of you who are fairly new to the forum, this thread took a very pleasant and unexpected detour when I got serious about something in here. Above is the teaser post I started above on page 300 in 2021. It all began by finding this rather random pic online (posted again below) with a brief comment about the person. Soon I began researching this very intriguing high school athlete. ("Intiguing" is putting it mildly.) I had no idea about all the twists and turns of his early life. There were times I was literally brought to tears describing some of this athlete's life story and the new light in which I was seeing him for the first time. I purposely kept his identity a secret waiting for someone to figure out who it was. Like a contest of sorts! haha
I laid out bread crumbs over a few days. Mikeyank had at that time only fairly recently posted pictures of him on another thread. He was flustered that I kept trying to tease a name out of him specifically. But... There is a big difference between not knowing somebody at all...and not
recognizing them. haha
