Here's clip from the HBO series Euphoria. The premise is that this school play is focusing on real high school students at the school and their personal lives, as told through the play director. (Who is also a sister of the women who's dating the hunky captain of the football team.) Rumors (which are true) start circulating that the football team captain with the hot girlfriend is a closeted gay guy. Such rumors are depicted artistically, though not very subtly, through the live play. Much to the chagrin of the team captain seated with his girlfriend in the audience.
Do yourself a favor and go to full-screen clip of this vid by clicking the YouTube logo of the following link. This scene is jaw dropping in its choreography and artistry. With much praise going to its lead play actor (Austin Abrams) who is playing the character "Jake" in the play, while the real Jake squirms in his seat the whole time.
I love the fact that they could have chosen any random actor who is beefier, taller and more filled out than Austin Abrams. But instead they went with an actor already on the show who is short, rather skinny but well defined. And also someone who has a ton of passion and energy to put into the role. It's kind of a nod to the fact that anybody can be special and wanted regardless of their actual physique.
