Hey everyone! Ian Dempsey Here!

Thanks Tampa!

Ian, I think it's a great idea. Tampa's right, it would be expensive, but maybe Broke Straight Boys could break it up into a series of 3 scenes that would fill a whole week. A Holiday Special Event!!!

So here is the scenario. The cameraman walks up the drive and scans upon a massive Broke Straight Boys sign, done in the tradition red and black colours. They enter the house and each time they meet a model, the first words that come out of the models is - hi Sir, my name is Damian/Paul/Ronan Kennedy/Ian - the list goes on and I'm straight. The interview continues the conversation asking what they're doing and a typical answer is - Hey I'm helping Ms Sabrina do the laundry - did I mention I was straight. The interviewer moves to the games room and two models are playing pool and guess what ! All the notices that used to be on the wall at the studio have been relocated to the house, but this time there are hundreds of them. Kayden is about to pot the brown ball and turns to the interviewer and says - although I'm potting the brown, I'm still straight...

There's been a great deal of chatter on the forum for a long time about the "Golden Days" of Broke Straight Boys Some of it was fun, some of it was hot, much of it was hokey and tedious, and if you go back and look at the ratings, few scene's got above a 3 or 3.5.

As Ian maintains as a Millenial with a much greater grasp of the current sexual realities than any of us older folks can attest to, time and attitudes are marching on. The "seduction of the straight guy" is beginning to morph into getting a guy to just consider an encounter, one that doesn't threaten whatever his beliefs are about his own sexuality. The Kinsey 0's won't ever do it, but the number goes up to 5 before you hit the never do it with a woman gay 6's.

The days of pouting, underfed, skinny skater types with bad skin, sitting on a cum stained futon from Ikea, supposedly not knowing what they might be asked to do has drawn to a close. If Broke Straight Boys did do a few scenes like that, I bet the ratings would be low. The attractive, toned, well built guys that are models now are what the vast majority of members want to see. Not hollow chests, skinny asses and sullen attitudes.

There were some great models on BSB1, and they managed to keep it interesting. But face it, David talking a guy into getting fucked was fantasy. The guys had already douched.

Dude this is the best post on the forum for years. Hit the nail right on the head. Loved the bit about the cum stained futon from Ikea, so I guess the set from College Boy Physicals comes from a kiddies store or similar lol. Although I am senior in posts rather in age, I did like that period in the sites history, and it's crucial that they are always there in the archives. I mean the Straight Boys Jerk Off site hasnt been updated for years, but I occasionally go back to watch Tanner perform.

However, in defence of BSB1, I must say that there were a lot more models coming through the stable than of late - yes this well documented. I also thought that a lot of scenes were quite humorous, now it is too serious and repetitive. Oh, by the way, did I mention that the new guys are all straight...

I think mark should hire you to plan scenes as well as star in them as I can imagine that you have alot more amazing ideas floating around in there.

Why thanks Dan!! Now hopefully Mark is reading this too! ;) I've talked with Damian C. about this a few times, but I love just going over to the house and hanging out with him, Mark, Ty, Shannon, and Sabrina. It's such an amazing house to begin with, but I really feel comfortable in their company. :) We all have our own inside jokes and we dog on each other from time to time. I've been trying to convince Damian for a while now that Mark is gonna let him go and I'm gonna take over his room. Hahaha, he hasn't bought into it yet :p I might have said this before, but theres only 2 rooms in the house that I haven't seen, and that's Damian's bathroom and closet, and it's been that way for so long that now we all make a point of it for me to never see those rooms. scenes or no scenes, they're my 2nd family, and even if I only met them because of the porn, I wouldn't have it any other way.

After my parents found out that I did porn, I had a family friend approach me about the business. She works for some broadcasting company that deals with porn in some way, not exactly sure how it works but she's seen all of my stuff. But she came up to me one day and started talking to me about how it's a terrible business to get into and everyone in it are these awful people who will just use me and throw me out when they have no more desire to keep me... And the whole time she told me this I just kept looking back at Mark and all of the staff at BluMedia and thinking to myself, "this woman must know some really fucked up people," cause I couldn't name one person I worked with who fit that description. I love everyone from the staff and it was an honor to be able to go with them to see the AMA's and work with them every chance I get. They're definitely gonna be a part of my life for a while :)

Thanks Jon!

BSB1 was so "out there" compared to any of the other sites that it managed to keep me interested, and of course there was the forum.

I have never had any interest in seducing a straight guy. I see straight guys I'd love to fuck around with if they were gay. Two weeks of feeding some skinny twink $200 worth of hamburgers and fries just so he'd finally let me suck him off never held any appeal for me. Call me crazy...

Just thought you guys would like this, I laughed so hard when I first saw it! :D

Hey Ian,

Luv you man! xo Well your friend had very good intentions in voicing her concerns with you. Her trepidations and worries about you being in the industry are well founded in her eyes. Certainly not because she is right about Broke Straight Boys, but because Broke Straight Boys is one of the very rare exceptions to the rule. That's due of course to the culture and high moral standards that Mark sets for the company. The majority of sites out there in the porn industry do not treat their models as well as Broke Straight Boys does theirs. I've heard absolute horror stories about some of the other sites out there. And I'm not just talking about Vadim Black's experiences at one site. The norm out there is that the models get used and abused like a piece of meat and then are unceremoniously kicked to the curb once the staff feel they've gotten everything out of them they want. By then the model is often in much worse shape emotionally, spiritually and even financially than when he first showed up. So to her credit, she's not wrong about the industry. She's just wrong about Broke Straight Boys :)

So it was actually a favor your friend thought she was doing by warning you of the darker side of the industry. Fortunately of course, Broke Straight Boys is not like typical sites and doesn't conform to the negative stereotypes out there. :)

I think the family friend was talking about the porn industry as a "hole" (sorry, had to go there). And we can all appreciate the fact that she was just trying to voice her concerns; I'm sure you also gave your account of Mark and BluMedia not being a typical porn site. We have seen/heard many examples of the care that the staff has given all their models, going beyond the "usual" accommodations and really getting to know and care about each of you.
I would like to ask if your parents would be the type that would sit for an interview, like Paul's interview? Now that you have been shooting for more than a year, how do they feel your participation has effected you?

I don't think my parents would ever want anything to do with my line of work, nor would I ever ask them to do so. They still don't like that I do it and don't want my siblings exposed to it yet. Which I fully understand, that's why I don't talk to them a lot about everything that goes on with the job. That's a big reason for me loving the staff as much as I do, they're people I can talk to and feel 100% relaxed doing so.

Which is all perfectly understandable for your parents to feel as they do, for as nice as everyone is, and as clean and safe an environment that Mark provides for you when you go to work for the site, it cannot be the same for parents as it is when their son works at The Gap to supplement his income while attending college.

Fair enough. It is nice that you have found some close friends on the Broke Straight Boys staff. From all the BTS, it's obvious they care about your guys very much.

Ian,

I agree with Beth! The philosophy of treating the guys with dignity and respect goes all the way back to episode #1 and the first producer David. David and Eddie also housed the boys and went out of they way to take care of them, some of which had very difficult lives not unlike what we have heard recently. I don't know if this was something that stated with Blue Media when they hired David to do Broke Straight Boys, or if it was David's style or a mutual thing. But all of us are very glad this is how it is.

As for the comments you made in the behind the scene I believe you responded honestly with no dis-respect. You were asked a difficult question and you took your time before answering. This tells me you were thoughtful in your response. I do not expect that all the models will become pals with all the others in the house. You're there for one reason, to do a job. When the camera is rolling, the expectation is your doing your best to marked the shoot a 5.0 on the rating scale. You leave any feelings towards each other on the other side of the door. There have been numerous occasions where models, that's to be expected. Just don't show it on screen.

Even in BSB1 David had models who did not have good working relations. The Popular Dustin (may he RIP) was not fond of Nu. BSB1's #1 Star Tyler and Aiden (Tyler's 1st three scenes) did not like each other (as I was told). However, you could not tell from scenes.

I think we all know that this is just a stepping stone for all of you until you reach you ultimate future goals. Therefore, Keep up doing the great job you do and,

Hello Ian,

I must congratulate you on a well written post. I agree with some, but not all of what you say. I agree with you about the change of pace, location and to some extend the going back to the beginning of Broke Straight Boys What I want to bring forward now, I have done so in other post including one where Damian C. asked for feedback and Tyler Whites thread. Just wanted you to know that this is not new.

The original premise of Broke Straight Boys and its success dealt with coning "straight guys" into having sex with guys. That concept worked extremely well in BSB1. What attracted the audience (some (not most) of whom post on the forum) was how David, via offering (not showing) money to models to engage in man-on-man sex. It progress from touching , next to sucking and then fucking. For the most part the final outcome was not know until the money issue was settled. In many of the videos, we may not know how or what would happen until it happened. That sense of mystery was the glue that kept us in our seats. You would know it was successful when David himself had to catch his breath at what he just filmed. While we may not all like some of his verbosity, the unexpected outcomes made for interesting viewing.

If you look at today's videos, I could close my eyes and outline exactly what will happen: Brief verbal introduction, take off your shirts, take off pants, show butts, start to kiss, then touchy/feeley, then suck, then fuck or flip flop, cum, post cum review. This is not meant to take away from the models at all. No am I knocking the production team either. Just stating the facts. Therefore the videos have little to almost no surprise. It is like OK her I am, lets have sex. Is this different vs. any other site? That is why Damian C has asked about how to get back to the Golden Days. I believe, in part, Broke Straight Boys can use its past and incorporate it more in the current/future videos.

Part of the issue, in my opinion, is we keep seeing the same models over and over and over again. Mind you, I do enjoy Paul, Damian K., yourself, Kayden, Tyler (Evans and White), etc. But my question is this: When is a Broke Straight Boys no long a Broke Straight Boys and is now a Porn Star? A very valid question. This is not unique to Broke Straight Boys 3, but could be found in Broke Straight Boys 1 & 2 as well. Does this mean it is time to retire Paul, Damian Tyler, , yourself, etc? No! It just means to me we need to get more new models into the studio and seeing what can be done to get them to have sex with guys. And you "veterans" can come in now and then and perhaps be the ones to get the newbies "to go where no straight boy has gone before". Ian, does that make sense to you?

I believe that Broke Straight Boys can incorporate to some extent the beauty of it origins with the trend of a more open society to bring Broke Straight Boys's back to its unique edge in the porn industry. I have always had good relations with David, Mark and company. They appreciate constructive feedback. No radical change. But it would not harm Blue Media to look at the past and see what elements could help the future.

The hardest part of the Job that Mark has to deal with is what the hell is the market. The forum is only a small part of the "voice". He gets lots more feedback directly, not through the forum. So I know it is not an easy balancing act. I appreciate what he does and that it is not easy to please everyone. I appreciate all that Mark and Blue Media do and how they go the extra mile to take care of the models.

Hope this helps you understand where some of the forum may be coming from.

Thank for your understanding.

Live Long and Prosper,

Vicekid

I enjoyed reading your post (though it was addressed to Ian) I liked the perspective from which you see and explained what you did. I enjoyed the "mystery" as it were from the older scenes. I also found the same or similar premise on other sites. Combining elements of the old and incorporating them into the new is a very good way to explain it! Recently, the intro's being filmed outside, or in a different location certainly has been enjoyable for me! There are countless styles and premises on the internet and, depending how many sites you visit, almost bound to find one that uses the same premise as another. The greatest (not all) number of sites I visit are very diverse in their scenes. Some keep it the same and maybe that works for them? Who knows? They don't have a forum (lol) so, I imagine they have some way of getting feed back from their audience and, maybe that's what they go with. We all watch porn differently! I probably enjoy things and guys much differently from others who subscribe to the same site. This is the only site (besides College Dudes) where you get to "experience" what others are enjoying or not enjoying about what they are viewing! Sometimes, it's nice to watch porn without being influenced by the fantasies of others, while sometimes, it's nice to share the things that others may have picked up on that I may have missed. But, I tend to leave the work of getting me the porn I enjoy to those who produce it. I enjoy certain models and if they are featured on a site, I will go there to enjoy their scenes too! I have enjoyed this sites selection of models for a long time. I am always open to see new models, returning models, and even models who've carved out a niche for themselves in the industry if that's what the site managers want to do. As everything in life must evolve, porn and my enjoyment of it, probably does too!

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts in this thread!:nicethread:

Double trouble lays ahead :jab:

Hey there, glad to see you posting again! Hope you are doing well. I do want to ask if you had as much fun with the "pool table" scene as it looked?! And I though my husband liked being fucked....:tmi:

Hey Ian!

You did a really good job in the pool table orgy. I loved how you managed to stay hard pretty much the whole time. I'm so glad you didn't fully retire. xoxo

Hahaha me too! The pool table scene was fun to film and was a good change of scenery for everyone. Ronan Kennedy has a HUGE dick!! Holy shit!! Lol. Stay tuned for an upcoming, groundbreaking scene that features Tyler White, Dakota Ford, and yours truly! Its gonna big. ;)
