I just read an item in the gaydemon blog that Axel defected from Broke Straight Boys to PeterFever (where he only has to jerk off), because he refused to suck cock or bottom, which he thought that Broke Straight Boys expected him to do eventually. My reaction is good for Broke Straight Boys! Just my opinion, but seems a bit harsh punishment for a straight boy who didn't want to suck cock or bottom. Not sure how many REAL straight boys out there would want to. I suggest taking the high road and wish Axel well in his endeavors, whatever they may be...He will fade into oblivion sooner than later most likely anyway. Curious to know how many forum posters have had the opportunity to read the contracts that Broke Straight Boys use with their performers!! Again, this is just my opinion of course.

I agree on wishing Axel well in his future endeavors. That said, I can't say that I will miss him terribly. Yes. A series of 3-6 scenes which are shot within less than a one week period, is hardly a long time for a model to do much soul searching. But whether it's fair or not, this is not an industry that can afford to give a paid employee 6 months to a year to perform up to industry standards. Much like pro sports. If you're not able or willing to perform up to standards quickly in a season you are likely to get benched, traded or outright let go.

Few porn sites are going to give a model another 5 or 6 scenes without a commitment on the part of said model to do more. Back in the old days, sites were flush with revenue and could afford to give models more time to come to terms with overcoming psychological barriers to doing gay for pay. It's not the same world anymore. Sites and the viewers themselves aren't willing to coddle a model for months on end waiting for him to live up to standard expectations.

Again I completely agree with you SFPS01. Sha told us from Axel's BTS interview that the kid had an issue with sucking dick and you are right that we don't know what's in his contract. The kid came to Broke Straight Boys, did what he was comfortable doing and if it wasn't enough to sustain a career in gay for pay porn, so be it. I have been deffending Axel here since the first person said something bad about him... And I keep doing it...

But we need to have some sense of humor too! I might be wrong, but I don't think Rep had any intention of being really mean or of wishing anything really bad to happen to Axel. I can imagine Rep saying that and laughing and that's what made me laugh.

Tampa, when I talked about the time it takes to 'convince' someone I was considering that nowadays the boundaries are more blured and after a while one realizes that after having sex with a guy sucking or not sucking a dick won't make you any or less gay... But maturity to realize this comes with time, so sometimes, if they do it for some kind of insecurity about their own masculinity, they can change their minds.

Axel has been released and won't be back. This decision was actually made back in June. He wasn't with us during the July shoots.

We do have 3 scenes of his that haven't been released yet that we will try to space out. You don't have to worry about us filming him in the future.

So he still has scenes left with Grey Donovan, Brandon Evans, and Xavier Ryan that were filmed a few months ago that will be released slowly over time.

He was a true straight guy and truly broke. Alas, it didn't work out.

Another parallel is this. We can easily say in an offhand way for instance, "Well it's so much easier for young people to come out nowadays than it was in the past." While that may be true in general terms, it doesn't always feel very true to many youth on an individual case-by-case basis. The family pressure and expectations to lead a "normal" hetero life , the dynamics of all their relationships with their parents, siblings, friends, coworkers and extended family...can all be intense. We still have kids committing suicide rather than coming out to friends and family. So I get that's it's not always an easy thing for every guy to decide how secure and intact his sense of masculinity will be if he crosses each boundary of gay sex.

Again though, if you apply to do gay for pay porn in today's world, porn studios are not mental health counselors. [Even though they might feel like it sometimes. lol] They're not going to hold your hand and give you hours, days and months to talk through all your internal issues (one-on-one) until you reach a newer, more comfortable plateau of self-actualization.
