I respect people's decisions as to where they want to spend their money. So if people want to leave because barebacking is going to become part of the site, then that is their choice. And so be it.

I AM STAYING. We have had several posts about the scourge of HIV and AIDS. And that is true. It is more than a scourge. I am 71 years old. My journey out of the closet started in 1974 and I lived two lives (as a married man with a family) and as an emergent gay man for 14 years. I lost friends to this disease before they even had the GIRD name for it. It wasn't until later that we realized what it was. And with all due respect, San Francisco wasn't the only place people died in great numbers. I lost many friends in New York and Washington to this disease. I moved to Pittsburgh in 1983 and lost friends here as well. I contracted HIV here in 1987 just as I was on the last mile out of the closet. I know the guy (at least his street name) and the circumstances.

I have been one of the lucky ones. Each time my health started to deteriorate, there were either new medications and/or drug protocols which allowed me to bounce back. Many others haven't been.

One of the greatest advancements in prevention has been the discovery and widespread use of rapid testing protocols. Gone for a long time have been the multi-week wait for test results. Current tests will give you results in 20 minutes if not sooner. You can virtually test for HIV before every scene.

I'm sure that Mark and Broke Straight Boys will do all appropriate testing to ensure the utmost safety of the models who choose to bareback. I find it appalling for those who suggest otherwise.

Doing bareback on a porn site which uses all the appropriate and necessary tests is safer than the many who bareback when just hooking up.

I have lived with this disease for 25+ years. I have lost innumerable friends to it. But I also recognize the advances in testing and evaluation made since the darkest days of this pandemic. I am a big, 'ole bottom. I loved barebacking. I will never be able to do it again. But if it is done safely with all appropriate testing on this site, then I'm all for it.

Mark is being castigated for making this as a business decision. Well, it's not as if he's saying, let's go at it with no testing and evaluation. He is taking all safety precautions, and is not, I'm sure, forcing anyone to bareback against his will.

And I'm not kissing management's or anyone else's ass by supporting this. I'm doing it because I know it can be done safely, and it will give those of us who enjoy or enjoyed barebacking, an added feature to the site.

Those of you who choose to leave, do so by your free will choice to do so. You can do so without impugning the integrity of the people who choose to stay. I wish you all the best with whatever porn sites you choose to spend your porn money.

I am a new member here but I have been a fan for a long time. I hope I did not sound judgmental or condescending and if I did I do apologize. I agree we all have different tastes and different expectations of right and wrong. Right now I do not want to leave this site, I like the models and the videos and if I had known before how great this site is I would have joined a long time ago. I've never joined a pay porn site before and I didn't know what to expect. I was worried it wouldn't be worth it or that there would be some scam coming along that's why I never tried the free 3 day trial because I'd heard so many stories about getting trapped into a pay site and not being able to get out or getting charged for a whole year instead of month by month.

I don't like the idea of "our boys" doing bareback, I worry about their safety and health, I worry they might not have all the information they need to make a wise informed decision. I realize they are adults and it's really none of my business but that doesn't stop how I feel about them.

David often talked about safe sex in videos and gave me the impression that they cared about the models. I was shocked when David struck out on his own and switched to do mostly bareback. It kind of makes me think he didn't believe what he was preaching. The personal of porn producers is usually a negative one. I don't know for sure but I do have the idea that mark runs a good company and that he and his crew genuinely care about the models, I do want to believe that. From some of the things I've learned since I've been on here it does seem like Broke Straight Boys does treat their models very well and much better than what I would guess the majority of the porn sites do.

I realize porn is a service industry providing a service just like restaurants provide a service and if they don't stay competitive with the market they can lose that business. It appears to me that mark waited or put it off as long as he could but this is the way the porn industry is going. I don't get the hype about BB since most of the time you can't tell if a guy is wearing a condom or not. I think the problem with BB porn is more on the end of the consumer and people do need to be reminded of the dangers and how important safer sex is. I don't want to watch the new videos of BB sex and I am going to wait and see how it plays out. I hope there will still be videos with safer sex so that both sides of the issue can be entertained.

They may reconsider. Over the years they have "tried" many things, to give the views a taste of something being requested, but those things never became the norm, or even frequent. They just became an occasional deviation.

Members are upset because they care, I'm a med student and I passed by many people in hospital that suffered sexual Diseases, and I saw how hard it is for them for the ones that loves them, it's hard to digest, like you're dieing 100 time a day. and some just give up and commit suicide. The staff should think again about it, it's not just having sex for 30 min then getting paid, it's beyond that, and it may develop a habit and guess what it started in Broke Straight Boys the site that used to promote safe sex, it's really a shame.

Exactly. This is still America and we all have a right to our opinions, you, me and anyone else. I don't expect management to change their business practices because I am going to leave because of them. We all get to vote with our feet and our dollars. We do it all the time in our everyday lives, here on the forum, out in our families and communities. And talking about it if we so chose is called the first amendment. I can say what I want, you can disagree and I can register that opinion as many times as I please until they cancel my subscription. I have said about all I plan to say. I think some of the members who don't speak out much have stated their opinion on the matter quite eloquently- on both sides of the issue. I just hope they keep posting about anything they please. You don't have to listen but you don't have to act like they should shut up because they don't agree with you.

I think Mark should have posted this information before any hint of bb ever came into play. I also think, like rrhill, that that statement should be posted as a banner on the site. We can see, from some of the responses of the younger crowd, that it might be a not so subtle reminder that their personal lives are not going to be monitored like this porn site says it is going to be.
