Getting to know the guys as "People vs Performers" and "Performers who are People"

When I first started viewing this site, part of my fantasy was getting to know the models mostly through their performances. Other sites I viewed only gave that little Bio on the picture page. There have been models' who've appeared on other sites and I would again, Gage Owens them by their performance while still maintaining what works for me in my head of who they were.

Broke Straight Boys with their BTS and interviews gave me more information about the models and at times, I was afraid that "TMI" would ruin my "fantasy" of the guys I enjoyed watching.

It's a very different viewing experience for me now. There are so many different ways to learn more about the performers on this site as people and actually has enhanced my viewing pleasures if anything.

They appeared and performed scenes to provide a continuous flow of scenes to be released. If one looks very carefully and closely to the models featured now, they are for the most part, brand new to this industry with believable reasons to be here. To make money for a better life, for themselves or family. IMHO, many are "without conflict" and are not doing this as an "experiment" of who they might be inside.

So, I am enjoying more and more, the getting to know the people who perform here as performers who are people!

I totally agree; these guys are hot, but getting to see their personalities is so sexy! Betu, you really need to make one of the pride events they go to as well...you can even touch them, if you ask nicely!

I am typically not a consumer of visual porn and had not been a member of any online visual sites before Broke Straight Boys I love written porn stories, preferably of true or believably true stories involving straight younger guys who discover the joys of gay sex, but Broke Straight Boys "knocked my socks off" as it included my fantasies as well as gave me the opportunity to actually watch beautiful young guys doing the things that I like to read about.

If I read a hot pornographic story and it simply describes two guys physically and then goes into detail of their having sex, it does not work for me, but if it tells me a bit about who they are and how they wind up in a situation where they are about to have sex with another guy for the first time, then I am sold on the story and it produces arousal in me. This is why BSB1 "worked" for me, and "BSB2" largely did not. David on BSB1 spent a lot of time, (too much time according to his critics) giving us an insight into who these guys are, how they conduct their lives with family, friends, girlfriends or wives, school activities, sports and games they play, and their initial feelings about guys who have sex with other guys. I was "hooked" on the background stories and it made the sex acts they performed here so much more exciting than it would have been if two guys just silently walked in a room, stripped naked and began fucking, no matter how hot the guys may have been. This is what separated Broke Straight Boys from the rest of the internet porn to me.

When BSB2 got into full swing, when some of us complained that the guys appeared gay and not straight, Mark would sometimes tell us how these guys were really straight with girlfriends, but what difference does it make to me if they are "truly straight", if they give no clue of it during their scenes. At least some of the BTS gave me a clue as to who the real Blake, Brandon, Johnny, Adam, Skyler, Adam and Ayden are as people. In the cases of Johnny, Brandon and Skyler, it made me appreciate them more in their porn after learning about them as people than I would have by just watching them have sex.

Of course their stories may be false, and they may be at all who they portray themselves to be in their BTS or in their forum posts, but I thank former forumite Abe for coining the expression "believably straight" and I use it for the BTS as well. It really doesn't matter what the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is here for me. What is important is what my brain can process as the truth for me to get interested in and excited by these models.

So yes, Betu, I very much agree with you and it is why I am so hopeful of BSB3 under the direction of Johnny going back to the site that hooked me in the first place, letting me get to know the guys and then watching them get naked and have sex with guys, possibly for the first time, right before my eyes.

Another1 is an amazing individual. we have had to opportunity to meet several times. I always actually enjoyed his presents cuz the other models would tease him by doing something sexual to eachother in front of him and I would watch him get all hot and bothered. And from the "introduction" of Paul Canon to Broke Straight Boys, (as I was a card carrying member by then) I've enjoyed getting to know and appreciate his personality, not just during a scene but the many BTS as well. Liked him then, like him now. I can only "speculate" that recent verbal assaults from a single member,( which do not seem to be reflective of the "vast" number of positive comments of this models' personality and contributions through his works) must be coming from a personal area of disenchantment!

Even when a model is not my "push every button favorite", I still try torespect and appreciate their efforts just for being here!. So, to go into a really "Hate-on-him" mode?" IMHO, it's just not that deep!

I find myself interestingly drawn to certain models, not so much for their looks but, for reasons that aren't always explainable, even to myself. It's that way for me in my day to day interaction with people as well. When new models are introduced, if they are really good looking and I read comments indicating how "hot" a model is based on their physical attributes, unless I see something uniquely personal, and special about them, I may not be so inclined to "jump on the wagon" with all other admirers. I've gone through the model's page and, I realized that a good number of the models that I am intrigued by the most, are models that aren't perfect, shy, quirky, or have less popularity. I am drawn to various the "flaws" that make someone human (to me). Honesty is also a special quality I am drawn to in a person, be they a model or not.
