Funny YouTube videos

Hmmm -

This isn't so much a funny Internet video, as a funny Internet MEME. A bunch of teenage girls got together, and made Alex, a teenage bag-boy from Target ("Alex from Target") world-famous. http://www.buzzfeed.com/ryanhatesthis/alex-from-target

Now, no rude or inappropriate comments, please! Alex is just 16. But he seems like a very nice guy, with a very nice smile. And now he has half a million followers on 'Twitter'. Poor guy! (At least he isn't gonna have trouble getting a date to the PROM!)

Kind of a cute and sweet story, anyway.

P.S. Here is "Alex from Target", on Ellen. . . .

I definitely see Target commercials coming his way.

It's very worrying that simple picture can have such an effect. On the positive side Alex has become famous with minutes however, on the negative side he has also become a target (no pun intended) for crazy people - and there are a lot of them around. There is a recent episode of The Apprentice UK where the contestants were asked to come up with something technical to wear. So one of the teams came up with a jumper/jersey with flash lights and a small cam attached to it. When they took it to various stores to see if they would put orders in, they didn't get many orders due to the fact that they thought that the cam would be an invasion of privacy. I must agree with that.

Thanks for that Ambi. He's a very cute kid, and wasn't Lana Turner discovered at a malt shop? So in 2014, Twitter has replaced the talent scouts who scoured the drug stores for pretty young faces. But he is such a cute guy that I'm sure he has been aware of the effect that his looks have on folks. Thanks for the pictures and the cute interview on Ellen.

Best line of the interview:

ELLEN: "Do you have any special talents?"
ALEX: "Apparently I can bag groceries pretty well!"

Awww, I dunno, Jon.

On the one hand, sure, this whole Internet culture is certainly invading everyone's privacy, and that's not so good.

On the other hand, I suppose there are worse things than being loved by half a million people, just because you have a nice smile. (I bet if we put YOU in a Target shirt on Twitter, you'd get half a million followers in an afternoon, too ;-)

Well ~

If you haven't seen it yet, here is the famous "roommate singing/dancing/cleaning" video. Everybody needs a roommate/boyfriend/HUSBAND. . . like this!!!

"A" :-))))

P.S. I would love to see Mr. Paul Canon re-enact this video ;-)))) (I bet Sabrina would love to see some of the boys do this, too ;-)))

P.S. ~

Unlike my Dear Old Dad (who is 82, and still glides across a ballroom floor with alacrity and grace): I am notoriously uncoordinated. But, I have to say, nonetheless ~ cute guys ALWAYS make me feel, like dancing :)

This looks fun. This is a house for sale in the Netherlands with a roller coaster in it so potential buyers can tour the house.

Hey,

I don't know if anyone has ever seen Amy Poehler's series, Parks and Recreation ~ but, it's hilarious. The standout character is "Ron Swanson" - a bureaucrat who hates being a bureaucrat; a libertarian who thinks all government should be outlawed; and who has an outsized appetite for steaks, bacon, and Lagavulin. It makes me laugh so hard. I guess, if I were a straight guy, I'd be "Ron Swanson."

P.S. "Clear alcoholic beverages are for rich women on diets." ~ Ron Swanson
