Former Gay Porn Model on MTV's The Real World

Fratpad and Fratmen are both owned by the same guy.

Thanks DB. I wasn't sure. Also I don't know for sure if Dustin was stretching the truth a bit by saying he had only worked for one site. And then done only one off site video. Another shoe may drop someday as more people research him online. I wouldn't find fault with him if that was the case. He was put very much on the defensive because of the way this all played out on national tv. So I don't blame him for trying to minimize just how much he had done with other dudes. As well as how many times, which sex acts he did, and which sites (if they are plural) he may have been on. God bless him. He was and is still in a tough spot.

On the JustUsBoys forum the commentary on Dustin is over 10 pages long. Here's a couple more photos of Dustin's work.

A little bit of a spoiler though from previews of the last episode that I haven't seen...is this. Remember that his gf (Heather) on the show was very very hurt and disgusted that a guy she had been dating and having sex with...had had sex with other guys. She is on record as saying that she has nothing against gay people but would never date a guy who has been or could be with another guy.

Keep that in mind as you watch the last episode especially.

The girls in the house say they want to stay and hang out in the hot tub while the guys go out clubbing by themselves. Dustin sets up the hot tub room with candles and flowers and really does it up nice for them. He is still hoping to patch things up with his blonde gf Heather. Because she is still livid over the gay porn thing. And the fact that Dustin has done things sexually with another guy. This is what the guys see when they get back home.....

:scared: :iwantitnow: :001_rolleyes:

Hypocrisy... Party of one!

Dear Tampa,

I haven't watched "MTV's The Real World" since they had a beautiful hispanic guy with AIDS many years ago. I was glued to that series back then as long as he was physically able to contribute. He was a beautiful guy with a beautiful spirit wanting some day to become a doctor. Although I forget his name at the moment, President Clinton gave him a commendation for his efforts with sharing his personal experience with AIDS to young people at the time.

Anyway, getting back to Dustin, I watched today's episode simply in response to your bringing this situation up on the forum. It presents an interesting series of events and certainly gives a realistic depiction of what it could be like for our former models returning to the "straight life" after having their futon time on Broke Straight Boys or other gay site. He certainly is a nice looking guy!

Thanks for calling this to my attention!

Sincerely,

Stimpy

you're welcome Stimpy. I remember his name without having to look it up. It was Pedro Zamora. He died in Miami many years ago now. It was on the tv news that I heard it. He was surrounded by his whole Cuban family. Many of his roommates from the show flew to Miami to be there before he finally died of AIDS. He also had his boyfriend by his side whom he met on the show. The very handsome black guy who became his best friend and bf. A man who also happened to be HIV+. His honest story of a very young gay man battling AIDS and trying to find love in his own life was riveting and very controversial for its time.

RIP Pedro Zamora.

The tv series Real World which has an obligatory gay roommate in 90% of its episodes...along with Pedro in particular, are credited by many for changing and improving the perception of gay people among the country's youth. TRW is a series that has been running continuously for over 15 years now. It was one of the very first "reality" tv shows.

In the last episode after all hell has broken loose in the house over finding out that straight Dustin has done gay porn...his brother and 3 other friends arrive in Vegas for a vacation and visit. He has to come clean about this past to his brother and all his friends. Awkward....

It is rather interesting that he contradicts himself in the way he goes about telling his brother and close friends. Unlike what he says in an aftershow when the whole season has already been taped...here he tells them the story that he thinks they want to hear. He breaks the news to them by phone just before they arrive.

Almost as soon as they get there he tells them that hey have to go to the site so they can see for themselves what it was all about. About all, the unknown in that kind of situation is almost always scarier than the actual truth. So he takes them into the computer room and they watch some of the scenes and photos of Dustin. I can't imagine how that was for his straight friends to look at a gay website with their best friend (or brother) doing things on it.

Anyway... Here he takes the tack that he got taken advantage of at a young age. And before he knew it he was in over his head. I guess he told them this because he knew that that was what they wanted to hear. It was much easier for them to accept that he did all this out of naivete and the financial desperation of youth. And of course he desperately needed their emotional support at that moment. He felt defensive and ganged up on by every roommate in the house.

When his gf Heather (who has all but broken up with him) hooks up with another girl she is very distraught and comes to him in tears. She feels so ashamed of herself. Not for the hypocrisy of her own actions so much. Just that she can't believe she did what she did with another woman. Dustin tries to comfort her and tells her not to go into self hatred. He said, "I did that. Don't go there." I believe him there. I think he did go through some self hatred at times when doing the "gay for pay" stuff. But obviously he worked through it and came out of the experience with a positive self image.

I found it intriguing that when he came out to his brother and friends about all this, the spin was totally different. There was no mention of his admiration and respect for the guy who hired him on the site. Or that this guy was like a father figure to him. And that if he could go back to the past he wouldn't change a thing. That he learned so much about life from the whole experience that it made him the man he is today. After all, that is what he said about 6-7 months after all of this had been filmed.

Given his situation though would we have done any differently if we had to tell our family and friends a secret like that?

I've been a member of both fratmen tv and fratpad before. Spencer sure is one attractive guy. As are most of the other guys. Some times you have to pay extra to see the guys getting more intimate with each other usually $79 or so.

I've never paid this much to see any of the guys do more with each other as that can pay for three months subscriptions at other sites. I do find these two sites to be good quality technically and more playful and tasteful than a lot of other sites.

I suppose we have to be generous to Dustin because of his background his experience opened up a new world to him but one that's scorned by his family's social mores! If i had been on the show with him I wouldn't have wanted to give him a hard time about it besides challenging some of his more offensive comments. He is struggling to come to terms with his previous pleasurable experiences and his strict religious background.

I have read the article in US magazine and Dustin does give a few more interesting details. He's 24 now. He shares for instance that he started doing the porn when he was 19. He quit doing the porn in January of 2010. So it was not that long ago. He stopped working for them just 9 months before filming of Real World started.

He was a 19 y/o kid living with his father's ex-wife in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I can only imagine how much fun that was for a 19 y/o. haha Most of his friends had gone off to college. But he couldn't afford it. He couldn't find a "cool" job. Many other guys of his age in the neighborhood were selling drugs. He admits that that was starting to look attractive to him. Then Fratmen came along.

At the end of his stint there he was working in their office. (Kind of reminds me of Tyler. lol) Dustin said that he still had other dreams and ambitions. His boss John had found a college for him and even helped set him up with a scholarship. He was all set to go to college. However the interviewing for Real World came along right about that time. As they seemed to express more and more interest in casting him he put off his college plans in hopes of getting on the show.

I really do hope that he goes to college now. I wish him only the best in life.

Thank you Tampa, for continuing to follow the story of Dustin. I did get to watch one episode of The Real World, with him in it a week or two ago. Although Dustin was never on the futon for Broke Straight Boys, his story and situation are so similar to many of the model's that we've enjoyed here, that I can relate his situation to that of perhaps an Alden or Logan, or other college age straight guys who decided to dabble in gay porn to earn some bucks.

I also wish him well, and hope that he gets to go to college and all, but he must realize by now that through his "fame" on the porn site, and particularly on MTV, and now in magazine interviews, he will always be linked to the gay porn for the rest of his life. I hope that it is not a hindrance to him, as he matures, and perhaps marries and in his future employment opportunities.

But I do find his situation most fascinating and again, thank you so much Tampa for enlightening us to the story of Dustin.

It's my pleasure Mike. While the number of responses and comments on the thread have remained few, I see a large number of visits. So I assume that there is interest out there about this story.

Hmmm. Stopped doing porn?

I read this just today:

"It looks like Dustin wants it both ways. While he's actively working to get all of his hardcore past erased, Dustin is still associating with the porn company that started his career. Many industry folks saw Dustin a few weeks ago at the Phoenix Forum. Dustin was there attending the gay porn convention with Fratmen. Maybe's he's looking to turn his new reality stardom into a bigger porn career while attempting to brush his hardcore porn past under the rug. Either way his apparent hypocrisy and homophobia are worth discussing."

Wow. He's still not telling the truth about everything. The plot thickens. Thanks for the link DrabBoiz.

not an unusual situation for many guys who for whatever reason did gay sex at some point in their life and now wish to reject that part of their past.
